2003 Bmw M3 Coupe Laguna Seca Blue, 6 Speed, 97,000 Miles, Loaded, Excellent on 2040-cars
United States
|
This is a totally original and mechanically unmodified M3. The Laguna Seca Blue paint is all original and has no dents or scratches. The front areas that are typically subject to tiny stone chips are covered by a thin clear material (I believe made by 3M) that is nearly invisible and was installed by the dealer when purchased new. The car had a total service at 94,000 miles and will need nothing for many more miles. This service included changing the following: transmission fluid, differential fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, coolant, engine oil and filter, cabin microfilter, air filter, fuel filter, vanos filter, spark plugs, and valve adjustment. I know the history of the car and am the 3rd owner. The original owner sold the car to his niece at 40,000 miles and she sold it to me at 93,000 miles. The carfax shows 5 owners due to state registration/title changes and a divorce name change. Also, the carfax shows an accident report which was only a parking lot incident that caused the tail light assembly to be replaced. In the 2 years I've owned the car there have been absolutely no maintenance issues and everything works on the car as it should. The interior of the car has no rips or tears as my pictures hopefully show. The significant options on the car are zenon headlights, Harmon Kardon stereo, and cold weather package which includes heated seats. The only non stock additions are tinted windows and an I-phone adapter cord which is between the seats. At 94,000 miles I installed BFG G-force sport tires that still appear new. I also have the car manuals, 2 sets of keys, and maintenance records back to 40,000 miles. Records prior to that can be gotten from a BMW dealer. If a prospective bidder wants, I'd be happy to have the car inspected at a location of your choice and at your expense. I am also willing to drive the car to an auction winner living in any major city in the country for .75c/mile (I'm retired and have lots of free time). If you have any questions, I'm available anytime at 678-570-3986. Brian

Updated BMW X6 spied running the 'Ring in Germany
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Following the debut of the X5 earlier this year, it shouldn't come as a shock that BMW is testing an updated X6 in its homeland. The Munich-based manufacturer trekked to the Nürburgring to test the lifted, four-door coupe it calls a Sports Activity Vehicle, while also giving us our first peak as to what the future holds for one of the weirder models in the brand's stable.
Mainly, we can safely expect the next X6 to get the same range of refinements made to its platform-mate, the X5, which debuted earlier this year. If we're lucky, that could mean an X6 sDrive35i, complete with rear-wheel drive with which to fling the big SAV about. Adding a rear-drive option could also broaden its admittedly limited appeal by lowering the cost of entry, which could serve the pricier X6 well. As a point of reference, the X5 sDrive35i is priced at $2,300 below an xDrive all-wheel-drive-equipped model.
The X6's top-flight xDrive50i model should get the same 45-horsepower bump as the X5 xDrive50i, thanks to refinements to its twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, while the 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-pot should remain unchanged. We wouldn't hold our breath for an X6 diesel to arrive, although weirder stuff has happened. Like the X5, though, this should be a pretty slim refit that improves an already competent package to go along with an expected increase in price.
BMW has a rough 100th birthday as share prices slide
Thu, Mar 10 2016BMW is 100 years old now, but falling stock prices are giving the German automaker the birthday blues. Investors are worried about the company's future outlook against luxury rivals, and the shareholders aren't happy about the recent dividend payments, either. According to The Wall Street Journal, BMW's shares dropped almost 2 percent on March 9. Investors have concerns that rivals are closing in. While BMW is in first place, it's not a commanding lead. For example, the German was first in the US luxury market last year with 346,023 deliveries. However, a Polk study found that Lexus actually earned the high-end crown in the US after looking at vehicle registrations rather than sales. BMW performed well last year, including delivering a strong 2.25 million vehicles. Net profits also jumped 10 percent to $7.05 billion, and revenue grew 15 percent, according to the WSJ. However, the shareholders wanted larger dividends after the successful year. The automaker paid out based on a percentage of earnings, but the investors expected more. BMW CEO Harald Kruger has an opportunity to get stockholders back on his side next week when he announces the automaker's new strategy. Expect technology to play a major role in that discussion, including electric vehicles and digital services. We might even see the i5 debut there, according to the WSJ. To be the automotive tech leader of the future, BMW plans to make computer programmers half of its research and development staff. The goal is to develop the most intelligent car on the road.
