I am selling my 2002 BMW M3. I have 2000 BMW e46 328i and a e39 540i, that I just put a ton of work
into and I have decided to keep those instead. I would keep this car but my 328i

For the price of the M3 with the loaded options, you are not going to find one priced better in all of NC. The engine is in great condition with no ticks or vanos issues. There is a small ding in the radiator support near the hood pin. This causes the hood to be misaligned by about 1/8". I have a brand new radiator support from BMW to include with the car that will fix this (Pictured). I also have some extra M calipers to include with the car (Pictured). The car is lowered causing minor rubbing when you turn very sharp in a parking lot. The car currently reads 59,000 miles on the odometer. The actual mileage is right around 132K. It was replaced with the current odometer right around 130K miles with 57K miles on the replaced odometer. The carfax will show this. This is a completely loaded out M3 and the specs are below. I just redid the interior pillars in the car and replaced the SMG relay. The car has new angel eyes as well. I have the rear BMW Roundel that is not in the picture. Things that need attention: -Will need new rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs). You can feel it when you hit any potholes, I have a technician who will do all of this including alignment for $200. These go for $32 for both here online. This is a pretty simple fix that you will be able to do if you are mechanically inclined. -Airbag Light is on -Coolant Sensor Needs to be replaced (Comes on intermittently even when the levels are fine) -Radio does not work, may be a fuse, but the full navigiation system lights up and everything works along with the onboard computer (all speakers all work, you can plug your phone up) -Fog lights don't work (I Have new ones) -SMG light comes on intermittently. I have not had a single issue with the SMG popping out of gear or getting stuck in gear. The light is most likely due to a sensor that needs to be replaced. You can test drive the car to check the SMG. -The hood flew up on the previous owner and the corners has some minor wrinkles (might not be able to see in the picture) in the corner near the windshield and a small dent in the hood (The dent can be repaired by a paintless dent removal specialist for $150) -The current bumper seems to have been screwed in by the previous owner, this causes a small gas where each screw is pressing down on the bumper right under the kidney grills -The driver side A pillar is missing the SRS airbag cover strip (Common), this is $18 online. This is everything that I could list that is wrong with the car. I have the auction set at $8,500 with NO RESERVE and a buy it now of $10,600. I would prefer local pickup only. Project CARS vs reality at Laguna Seca shows amazing potential
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Project CARS is aiming to be the next great racing sim. Offering a mix of modern and classic cars on famous tracks, developer Slightly Mad Studios is trying to inject a fresh energy into the genre, and at the moment its game looks ready to take on Forza and Gran Turismo.
The game is still about six months from release, and the graphics already look practically photorealistic. The video below shows side-by-side laps of Laguna Seca in a BMW - real life on the left and the game on the right. It's absolutely astounding. Other than some changes to the sponsorship around the track, they are almost identical.
Of course anyone with quality seat time in a racing sim knows that graphics are just one factor. How the game feels is even more important, and without getting hands on, it's impossible to judge yet. However, consider our interest piqued. Project CARS is scheduled to launch in November on the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, Windows PC and Steam OS. Alpina B4 coupe will be your subtle M4
Sat, 14 Sep 2013We're big fans of Alpina here at Autoblog - the BMW tuner has created some seriously delicious products in the past, and recently tuned the diesel-powered 3 Series wagon to create the D3 Bi-Turbo. What we like most about Alpina is how the cars only look subtly more aggressive than stock, yet they pack a real wallop under the hood.
Take this B4 Coupe, recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring. It looks pretty tame compared to the normal 435i, the only visual additions being the Alpina-standard 21-spoke wheels, modified front lip and rear wing spoiler. But under the hood, Alpina is reportedly working on a tuned, twin-turbo straight-six that produces something like 410 horsepower. That means the B4 should be good for a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed around 190 mph. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, though our spies suggest that Alpina could also use all-wheel drive here in the B4.
We have no doubt that the next BMW M4 will be super hot, but for those seeking a bit more stealth and exclusivity, this Alpina B4 certainly looks the business. Check it out in our gallery above.
BMW i8: Jaw-dropping style and green performance, but why?

Given the relative simplicity, affordability, practicality and energy efficiency of BMW's i3 sedan – available as a $42,000 all-electric or $46,000 extended-range EV – why design, engineer and build the much more complex and expensive ($137,450) but much less practical, exotic plug-in hybrid i8 2+2 sports car? Are i8 sales really worth BMW's huge investment of engineering effort and dollars? In 2015, BMW sold 2,265 i8s in the US, or about 189 a month. That compares to 11,024 (919 a month) for BMW's own i3, an estimated 27,840 (2,320 a month) for Tesla's battery-only EV Model S sedan and 1,024 (85 a month) for Cadillac's handsome, more practical and less expensive (but ridiculously overpriced and dismal-selling) ELR extended-range-EV luxury coupe. Are such sales really worth BMW's huge investment of engineering effort and dollars? The i8's lightweight Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) "Life Module" passenger cell rides on an aluminum "Drive Module" chassis that houses its complex propulsion system – a 228-horsepower, 1.5-liter turbocharged gas 3-cylinder (half of BMW's 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six) driving its rear wheels through a six-speed automatic and a 129-hp electric motor twisting its front wheels through a "two-stage" automatic – and a 5-kWh lithium-ion battery. Its drag coefficient (Cd) is an aero-slick 0.26, and BMW says it can run on battery energy alone for up to 22 miles. Its total system output is a healthy 337 horses, and its EPA economy is 76 miles per gallon equivalent in gas-electric mode, but just 28 mpg when it's gas-only. A Driver Experience Control and an eDrive button offer EV and Comfort modes, plus Eco Pro (12 percent more range) and Eco Pro+ (12 more). So what is this gorgeous plug-in hybrid sports car like to drive and live with? I missed its press launch so have been hoping for some quality time with one ever since. Production has been limited, and US press cars are few, but BMW said I would eventually get my chance. It finally happened. If the unlovely i3 is a green technology revelation, this supermodel-sexy i8 is a green styling and performance revolution. If the i3 is the practical soccer mom of battery BMWs, the i8 might be the ultimate Teutonic trophy wife. But really, why do it? For starters, just look at it. Some might see a new, high-tech take on the Giugiaro-designed BMW M1 mid-engine sports car. Just 453 of those were built from 1979 to 1981.
