Up for sale 1995 BMW M3 with only 49K miles and with automatic transmission. The car is in excellent (show room) condition. Never driven in winter. Car has brand new brakes, new performance tires, all fluid has been replaced, all mechanical parts are OEM. This car was a special order from the dealer when brand new. The exterior has with no imperfections or wear areas. No accidents and each body panel is original with matching vins. Interior is kept meticulously clean. Complete car with all keys, books and manuals. Car is adult owned by non smoker. Clean vehicle history report with no accidents and no issues. Please email me with any questions. Car purchased new and serviced at same dealer, always by the same mechanic. This is one of the rarest E36 M3's made for and only sold in North America. It is a LUXURY PKG. car it has the soft nappa leather interior and door inserts plus exclusive wood trim and door handles. Another thing about the Lux M3 is that it was made available with the ZF 5 HP18, 5 speed automatic trans virtually the same as on the 540/740 V8 so it is made to handle much more torque and hp. The european/asian mkt. car got the (manual automatic with a clutch, no clutch pedal) SMG series I which at the time used a similar shifter to the ZF automatic. When it was available even a large dealer would receive one maybe 2 order slots a month to sell. They were only made available for a short period of time. A fascinating car that could be great for a spouse or family member that cannot drive or does not prefer a manual.

German companies team up with telecom to spur development of talking cars
Tue, Sep 27 2016With connectivity and communications becoming an ever larger part of the automotive world, German automakers Audi, BMW, and Daimler formed the 5G Automotive Association with Intel, Nokia, Ericsson, Qualcomm, and Huawei. The goal is to develop new technologies to take advantage of LTE and 5G advancements, create standards, and overcome regulatory issues. If they succeed, it will be easier for them companies to develop and implement new technologies. For instance, we could see smarter traffic management, and maybe platooning, advance further in the autonomous sector. By acting as a group, they will also be able to address regulatory issues more easily. All of these companies are capable of developing advanced vehicle communication systems on their own. Audi, in fact, has been pursuing vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology and launched a stoplight timer in models in some cities. Still, the alliance offers the potential to save time and develop new ideas. Are you the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe?
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Thanks to Austrian website Autofilou (via Jalopnik), we now have our first look at what appears to be the upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe - the four-door version of the new 4 Series coupe, which itself is based on the 3 Series sedan. Makes total sense, right?
Nevertheless, in our First Drive of the 4 Series coupe, we found it to be a much more engaging experience than the 3 Series on which its based. And if this new 4GC follows in those footsteps, it could prove to be a better 3 Series sedan than, well, the 3 Series sedan.
Expect the 4 Series Gran Coupe to come in 428i and 435i flavors, with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four in the base car and a 3.0-liter turbo-six in the higher-end model. Of course, BMW will likely bring a range-topping M4 Gran Coupe to market not long thereafter.
Forza Motorsport profiles courageous paralyzed racer

In reality, though, they're often powerful tools for aspiring racers to learn tracks, race craft and how to set up a car in an easily accessible, risk-free environment. We aren't just talking about proper computer-based sims, like iRacing. Console-based racers like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo provide a test bed for racers of all sorts.
For Mario Bonfante, Jr., a former motorcycle racer that was involved in a brutal accident that left him in a wheelchair with only limited use of his arms, Forza is a bit more. It allows him to perfect the setup of his personal racecar, a heavily modified E46 BMW M3, complete with hand controls.
