Hi.  Welcome to my auction for a 2006 BMW 650iC.  It is offered with no reserve, high bidder wins, with a starting price of $11,800.00.  We do not offer financing of any kind, but will be happy to assist with any outside financing you apply for or have in place.  Payment is due within 5 days of auction end.  We can deliver within a 100 mile radius for a fee or assist with shipping outside of that distance.  Also,we do not have any additional dealer fees associated with the sale of this vehicle, what you pay is what you pay. Free 30 day tag, free title processing , etc.

It just got back from a BMW service shop and had the following services done:
Brakes w/ sensors.
Oil change w/ filter.
Air and cabin filters.
Climate control knob was replaced.
Reverse lights and marker lights replaced.
Diagnostic check.
Software update. Service intervals reset.

The following was found to be wrong with the car:
Previous repair work to the rear bumper cover.
The parking assist does not work.
The Tire pressure monitor system does not work.

Below is a brief list of what we found after a pre-sale inspection of the car:
The Engine sounds great.  No leaks. No issues.  No check engine lights or trouble codes associated with the engine. No smoking or strange noises.  The a/c compressor, power steering pump etc.  all work good.

The Tranmission shifts perfect.  No issues whatsoever.

The Drivetrain is great.  One of the rear tires is showing wear, the other 3 tires have well over 70-80% tread.  New brakes with sensors installed.  Rides down the road up to 150 mph with out issue.  No strange noises or issues.

The Exterior is good.  It has had previous repair work to the rear bumper, it is in average condition in my opinion, but hard to see the flaws unless you really look.  It has a some scratching to the passenger side side skirt. Other than that.  It looks good.

The Interior looks great.  The seats look good.  The carpet looks good.  Everything works like it should.

Color me electric: a nine-year-old designs a crayon-colored Mini wrap

Tue, Nov 14 2023

Perhaps one is never too young to help design the look of a car … with the help of a box of crayons. DonÂ’t tell nine-year-old Oliver Gorrod, who lives in Oxfordshire in England, that it canÂ’t be done. Young Oliver has finished first in a contest sponsored by MINI Electric in the U.K. and crayon-maker Crayola to create an exterior color wrap for the EV that “champions nature.” “I like the idea of all cars being electric, as they are better for the environment, animals and the planet. My car is designed as camouflage, so it blends into natural environments,” said the young man, who was among hundreds of entrants aged from four to 10 years from the U.K. Oliver wins the honor of his design being featured as a vinyl wrap for a car (he only wins the wrap) and a bundle of Crayola art materials for himself and his school. Oliver will also get an invite to visit MINI Plant Oxford for a private tour. “The creativity of the designs were fantastic," said Federico Izzo, director for MINI UK & Ireland. "We are excited to bring OliverÂ’s design to life and hope he will continue to innovate and dream big in the future.” Added Jade Childs of Crayola, “We are delighted to share Crayola art materials with Oliver and his class as part of the competition prize, and we hope they will continue to be inspired and express themselves as they explore, discover, play, pretend, and dream.” Design/Style Green BMW MINI Green Culture Hatchback Electric

2015 BMW M4 Coupe

Mon, 12 May 2014

Launched out of the seat by a huge, unexpected dip in the road, yet still held largely in place by the smooth webbing of my safety belt, I clench my teeth waiting to come back to earth. A tenth of a second later, the M4 Coupe touches down and my body is slammed into the leather seat cushion. All of the air is forced out of my lungs upon landing, but the BMW's chassis, suspension and steering appear unfazed. Pleasantly surprised, I mash the accelerator to the floor in giddy pursuit of the car in front of me - an absolutely identical 2015 BMW M4 coupe.
A cavorting game of cat-and-mouse on a desolate twisty canyon in southern Portugal is an excellent way to explore the real-world driving dynamics and performance of BMW's all-new M4 Coupe. But to truly push it to the limit - without having to worry about oversize depressions in the asphalt - requires a dedicated racetrack. Graciously, my hosts have rented the famed Autódromo Internacional do Algarve racetrack, or Portimão circuit, for an afternoon of automotive debauchery.
It's hard to believe this passes for work.

Police arrest 'Fastest Lap Around Manhattan' driver [w/video]

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Don't speed. Don't drive recklessly. Don't try to break the unofficial record for a lap of Manhattan. And if you go against this reasonable advice, do not, under any circumstances, record it and post the video on YouTube. If you do, you'll end up like Christopher Adam Tang - under arrest and facing a bevy of charges relating to the video.
Tang posted the video, which showed him lapping Manhattan in 24 minutes last Wednesday, and it quickly went viral. Now Tang, who went by the online moniker AfroDuck, is in cuffs. According to a local CBS affiliate, he was picked up at his home on Wednesday evening by police, who also seized the car used in the video, a 2006 BMW Z4.
What isn't clear is how Tang was caught. His video seems carefully done in that there are no outwardly visible signs that point to him, while the video itself is clearly sped up. While the NYPD hasn't come out and said that Tang was caught due to its extensive surveillance systems around the city, police commissioner Ray Kelly did point out that the new systems "will assist in this type of investigation." Let that serve as a warning to anyone that tries to break the 24-minute barrier. Scroll down to watch the full video.
