If you onw a 6 series ( 633 , 635 ), this would make a great parts car for you.  Many new parts!!

Here is a 1984 BMW 633 csi This was my everyday driver for years. Maintained by Hurless of course as most in the area are.  Have to get those darn vavles adjusted to pass emitions each year.I   just had to finally give up on it. The car is not in road ready shape. Dead battery. I did start it up about two months ago and let it idle for awhile , but that's it.   Then I started it for a local guy and one of the fuel line on top started spewing 3 thin lines of fuel!

Problems: Needs main seal, new exhaust from cat back, seals around the windows , Recaro driver side seat is pretty tore up need new upholstery... still really comfy and battery of course.  I'm not selling it as a road ready car.  This is my opinion.  Just needs a lot done to get it in the type of condition I see as worthy.

I was the third person to own the car. If repair is your thing go for it, the motor and rare manual five speed tranny work really well. New radiator, alternator, front end control arms ( upper / lower etc..) fuel pumps, belts, fan clutch, interior fan, fuel psi regulator, new passenger strut.. all kinds of stuff is pretty fresh, even the tires are good.

I bought the car with the salvage title the guy told me the car was stolen from someone in Illinois and recovered in California.  He bought it and bought it out to Idaho and I got it from him.  He did a little resto work to it and being a heavy set guy had some issues getting in and out of the car.  He did some work to the steering and new Bilstein shocks all the way around. Anyway... I never could find our notice any body repair and all glass, light fixtures, spoilers, body panels are original.

I'm selling as is and it would make a great parts car for someone who owns a sixer.
I have over 1200 invested in the driver side door internals.. no kidding had to get the parts from Bavaria after the lock quit working!

Please do not hesitate to contact me via email and I will do my best to give solid answers and represent the car for what it is.  Good Luck.

The List: Best of proving grounds

Fri, May 22 2015

Proving grounds are where automakers and enthusiasts alike go to push their vehicles to their mechanical limits. The Rubicon Trail, located in the Sierra Nevada, is the ultimate off-road test, while Germany's Nurburgring is a grueling 13 mile road and track course. Jessi and Patrick visit both iconic proving grounds in this "best of" compilation of The List. Alex Zanardi back in the driver's seat with BMW

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

If there's ever been an inspirational story in the pantheon of motor racing history, surely it's that of Alessandro Zanardi. The Italian driver worked his way up the motor racing ladder, making it into Formula One and winning two CART championships for Chip Ganassi Racing back before the series re-merged into IndyCars. Tragedy struck in 2001 when he lost both his legs in a crash at the Lausitzring in Germany, but rather than accept his fate, Alex pushed on. Fitted with prosthetic limbs, he learned to drive a racing car with hand controls and got back in the driver's seat.
Zanardi drove for BMW in the European Touring Car Championship and then in the World Touring Car Championship that replaced it, landing on the podium several times despite his physical disadvantage. He left racing in 2009 to train for the Paralympics, winning two gold medals in London, but Alex apparently couldn't shake the racing bug. BMW modified one of its M3 DTM racers with hand controls for him to test later that year. And now he's returning to motor racing full time.
BMW has just announced that Zanardi will be driving a Z4 GT3 in the Blancpain Sprint Series, the successor to the FIA GT Series and short-distance counterpart to the Blancpain Endurance Series. The car has been modified with the hand controls the Bavarian automaker's racing department fitted to the aforementioned M3 DTM and will be fielded by the ROAL Motorsport team with which Alex challenged for the European Touring Car Championship last decade.

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
