I purchased this car when I retired from law enforcement last year. I had planned on keeping it as my retirement car for twenty years but I was offered a job which requires that I travel extensively in a vehicle and I refuse to do that to this BMW, which was supposed to be my weekend car.

This car is superloaded and for someone who wants the best of the best. Plus with 24,000 miles on it, it really is like brand new.
The title is clear on the car and I purchased it after the previous owners lien was paid off.

This car was purchased from WESTWOOD Motor Cars last July and I have put a little over six thousand miles on it. All trouble free.

Westwood Motor Cars of California specializes in high end BMW lemon law buybacks from the California Lemon law. The California Lemon law is one of the most liberal in the United States and a customer can return a car for pretty much any reason. The reason Westwood buys mostly BMW buybacks is because the company always offers to buy back a customer car for 100% customer satisfaction, even for the smallest problems. These cars are not salvage or junk cars, they are normal cars that may have had a minor issue that a customer wasn't willing to wait to have fixed so, according to the Lemon Law, the dealer must buy back the car. Nothing is voided and the warranty stays the same.  BMW buys any car back from a customer for whatever reason, to avoid any hassles. 99% of the time the problem is fixed and never occurs again. The warranty is not voided in any way and continues for the full 4 years and 50,000 miles.
The car still qualified for the full free maintenance at the time.
***A lemon law car, although mechnically perfect, sells at approximately 5-10% below retail because of the lemon law designation. This car is valued at 44,000, so I am reducing it by way more the $ 4,400 dollars. This is not a salvage, damaged, rebuilt car. Everything is as new, no accidents, no mechnical problems, no title issues. This car was originally bought for over $ 94, 770, add tax to that and you are well over $ 100,000.
These cars are great and if you plan on keeping it for several years, then who cares what the title states. You'll be driving an expensive high end luxury car that people think you spent 100 grand for!

The car still falls under the BMW 6 year/ 75,0000 mile used car warranty and it also qualifies for an extended warranty from all the auto warranty companies, including BMW. For about
$ 2,392, you can get 75000 mile /4 year bumper to bumper warranty for the car with a zero deductible, which I was about to do before my new job came along.
 (See warranty available below)
Carchex is probably one of the best used car warranty companies out there according to the BBB but there are many,  and the warranty is a great idea and gives you peace of mind, especially if you get the car at a great price. It's like owning a new vehicle.
But don't take my word for it about the BMW Buyback according to California Lemon Law, research the BMW Buyback, the Lemon law, and go on Westwood Motor Cars site, they explain it better than me. I am pricing this loaded vehicle below Kelley Blue book.

This particular car was bought back from a woman in Los Angeles because she complained about the convertible top not locking properly but didn't want to wait the time it would take to fix or replace it, which BMW did. So BMW bought the car back and put a new convertible top on it. (See one of the  pic's for the reason of BMW buyback)
That was in February of 2011 and the car has never been in the shop for any reason since then.
The benefit of buying one of these cars is that you usually get a great deal on a car that would normally cost a lot more.

As I previously stated, I have driven the 650i for over a year and the car is flawless. Never had a problem. The top works perfectly and is new, both mechnically and cosmetically.
As far as options are concerned, it has all of them and an original sticker of 94,770. This car is impeccable inside and out. No dings or scratches. Constantly waxed and definitely garage kept.
On top of that, about three months ago I replaced the car's battery for 120.00 and bought two new tires for it at a cost of 1,000.00.
That is all that was done and all you will ever have to have done for quite awhile.

The paint is a silver and gold metallic, called Stratus Gray and it is amazing in the sun. Everything is top of the line on this car, from heads up display to the lane changing warning, blue tooth,  Voice Activation everything, and a super high end stereo, etc. (See extensive option list below)

BMW to change model designations, further yet from actual displacement?

Sat, 12 Jul 2014

Once upon a time, you could look at the back of a trunk lid of a BMW and come up with a pretty fair idea of what sat under its hood. For example, a 320i was a 3 Series with a fuel-injected, 2.0-liter engine, a 328i was a 3 Series with a fuel-injected, 2.8-liter engine and a 328Ci was a two-door 3 Series with the same engine. Those were good days.
Today, though, that simplicity is dead and gone. A 328i now has a 2.0-liter engine, just like the 320i, while the simple "C" designation that was affixed to two-door models has been replaced with a "4," so we have a 428i and a 435i. It gets worse, though. A 550i uses a 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 (it should be a 544ti, although we'd be willing to hear an argument for "tti") and a 740i uses a 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder, which is the same engine found in a 535i. It's madness.
And, well, it's about to get madder, if a post on a BMW enthusiast forum is to be believed. According to f30post.com, we could see a shakeup in at least the 3 and 4 Series nomenclature, thanks to an impending refresh that will see the addition of new, turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, codenamed B48 and B58, respectively.

Metal ramp crashes through windshield, narrowly misses driver

Mon, Dec 14 2015

Someone up there must be looking out for the driver of this BMW in California. Last Friday afternoon, a metal ramp crashed through the windshield of this luxury sedan, barely missing the male driver. Firefighters for San Jose, CA., posted the chilling image on their Facebook. They told KRON 4 that the large piece of metal fell off a truck driving southbound on I-280. The metal bounced off the road and through the windshield of a black BMW X5 SUV. It's not clear how the metal got loose. Incredibly, no one was hurt in this crash. The driver of the BMW probably feels like the luckiest man in the world today, as he walked away with nothing worse than a minor scratch. If the metal had hit just a few inches to the right his injuries could have been much, much worse. The San Jose Fire urged drivers in their social media post to stay safe out on the roads. Good advice. You never know what will happen. Related Video

2016 BMW 330e Plug-In Hybrid First Drive

Fri, Jan 29 2016

Piecing together the i8 eco sports car taught BMW some valuable lessons, some of which you'll see in the next generation or two of the company's electrified mainstream cars. You won't have to wait that long for BMW to deliver on the key lesson, which can be seen right here in the 330e: make hybrids fun to drive and don't make people compromise on what they like. The 330e neatly sidesteps the traditional character-blanching entry ticket you get with hybrids by delivering almost as much torque as the 340i and a sprint time to 62 miles per hour of 6.1 seconds. For most people eco-conscious enough (especially in a time of cheap gas) to bother with plug-in hybrids, that's going to be quick enough. And so is the 140-mph top speed. It won't quite manage the precision of a normal 3 Series because it's 353 pounds heavier, but it's not far away. This 330e is (theoretically) capable of delivering 25 miles of electric-car range or ridiculous amount of range as a gasoline-electric hybrid. It will post a 44-gram CO2 emissions figure and officially deliver 1.9 liters/100km on the NEDC test cycle in Europe, which translates to 124 miles per gallon equivalent in the US, though it's unclear what the EPA-certified number would actually be. While punching in a straight line is always good, and sipping fuel like it's being rationed is nice, the key part to the 330e is that still handles like a 3 Series should every time you arrive at that one fun corner. It won't quite manage the precision of a normal 3 Series because it's 353 pounds heavier, but it's not far off. BMW has buried the 7.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack beneath the cargo floor, while the electric motor resides up front, so the weight distribution moves from 50:50 to 49:51, leaving it a touch heavier in the back. Effectively, it's a 3 Series with the 320i's 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gasoline powertrain, the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor sandwiched in between to create a hybrid. The electric motor adds 87 hp to the gas engine's 181 horsepower to offer 248 hp of total power (yes, we know they don't directly add up, but that's the total output). While it has 74 pound-feet of continuous torque, the electric motor can overboost to 184 lb-ft when it needs to. Add that to the gas engine's 214 lb-ft and the car has a maximum of 310 lb-ft – 22 lb-ft shy of the 340i, without pumping out as many emissions.
