THIS CAR IS NOT A PERFECT CAR BUT IT IS A DEPENDABLE DRIVER WITH ALMOST NEW 16" TIRES ON 1997 BMW 740il RIMS WE JUST ADDED THIS SUMMER. IT RUNS AND DRIVES NICE AND NEARLY ALL THE MANY OPTIONS WORK FINE. THE SPEEDOMETER SOMETIMES IS A DEAD STICK BUT IT ALWAYS COMES TO LIFE AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR AWHILE. THE MILES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED EXEMPT SINCE THE ODOMETER ISN'T ALWAYS ADDING MILES WHEN THE SPEEDOMETER IS TAKING A BREAK. THE TOOLS ARE MISSING IN THE TRUNK AND WE ADDED A TEMP GAUGE BECAUSE THE FACTORY GAGE QUIT WORKING. THE ENGINE RUNS AT ABOUT 190 DEGREES. M-thusiast pops the question at BMW Welt

We've seen all manner of marriage proposals over the years, but our favorites, of course, revolve around cars. One guy proposed to his girlfriend at a traffic stop, another during an autocross event, while yet another got dozens of Mazda MX-5 owners together to spell "Marry Me?" in Miatas. This latest proposal, however, put the M in Marriage as only a BMW enthusiast could.
While visiting BMW Welt in Munich, Bachir from Lebanon rolled out in a new blue M3 and got down on one knee in front of the gathered crowds to pop the question to Layal, his girlfriend of one year.
We'll let you watch the clip for yourself to see how it went, but suffice it to say that she was delighted. The couple plan to drive to the church in a procession of M cars for what promises to be a high-octane ceremony in their home country.

BMW will show Mini EV concept at Frankfurt

A month ago, BMW announced that it would electrify all its brands and model lines, including the Mini hatchback. A forthcoming full-electric Mini will enter production in 2019 at the Mini plant in Oxford, England, where the production line would join a German-built electric drivetrain with a British-built body. BMW notes that this will happen exactly 60 years after the original Mini hit the streets. View 5 Photos As the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show is upon us, BMW has introduced the concept version of the aforementioned electric Mini. The manufacturer says the color scheme chosen for the concept matches the previous electrified Mini, the experimental Mini E of 2008. That car was produced in a trial run of 600 units, and it provided BMW with valuable data as it was developing the i3 model, currently on the market. The Mini Electric Concept is powered by a lithium-ion battery, but no numerical specifications or range figures have been announced. It will be interesting to see whether the driving fun inherent to Minis can be translated, as a battery electric vehicle will undoubtedly be heavier than a fossil-fuel hatchback. The closed front grille stands as testament for doing without pistons or a need for engine cooling.
