For sale is a BMW 540i that came with the M sport wheels and steering wheel. The car has 167k but still runs great and smooth. Michelin tires all around and new rear brakes, rotors, and brake sensor was just installed. It is missing the driver side door sill and the button cover on the passenger window switch, but it still works. The body is in overall great condition considering it's 11 years old.
The 2nd layer clear coat on the rear bumper is starting to peel and the air bag light is on. The power switch fuse may be blown so the unlock button is not working at this time; it was working a few days ago but stop suddenly so I assuming its a fuse but I have not checked it out yet. There is an oil leak mainly leaking from the avcs/vanos (variable valve timing) sensor and from the valve cover. The oil leak from the valve cover does get on the exhaust manifold so you will smell oil burn after a drive. Oil leak is not severe to the point where you will have to refill or check every few days. The drive belt is a little squeaky at start-up at times.
Purchased the car only a few months ago, but now going through a custody battle and in need of the money.

FCA joins BMW, Intel and Mobileye on autonomous car project
Wed, Aug 16 2017Today, BMW, Intel and Mobileye announced that FCA would be joining their effort to build a sharable and scalable platform for autonomous cars. This project has been moving ahead full steam, with Intel purchasing Mobileye earlier this year, not long after Tesla and Mobileye parted ways. Not long after that, parts supplier Delphi joined the autonomous effort. The group's current goal is to have 40 autonomous test vehicles on the road by the end of 2017. The eventual end game is to create a new architecture that each partner can use and adapt to its needs. The platform will support level 3 to level 4/5 automated driving, and can be adapted to suit brand identity. The main headquarters for the effort will be in Germany. FCA staff will join the already established group of engineers from BMW, Intel and Mobileye. The group expects this new platform to hit the streets by 2021. It's unclear how this will affect FCA's relationship with Waymo, Alphabet's autonomous vehicle project. Waymo currently uses modified Chrysler Pacificas for its fleet. In addition to FCA, the trio of BMW, Intel and Mobileye have extended an invitation to any other automakers and suppliers that want to join the project. It's relatively easy to snag the keys to a vehicle for a special occasion, whether that be for a road trip, tailgating or helping a friend move. And while sometimes the tailgating might happen with a Ford F-150 instead of a Range Rover and the road trip might be in a minivan rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, occasionally the stars align and a special vehicle arrives for an equally special time.
That's exactly how I found myself dressed to the nines and behind the wheel of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, a $135,375 (as-tested) rocket ship, en route to a rare multi-wedding weekend to celebrate with two pairs of my closest friends on the biggest day of their lives (a very special congratulations to Kara and Zach, and Laura and Andrew). Continuing with our nuptial theme, the M mechanicals and the 6 Series Gran Coupe body are a match made in heaven.
