Selling dirt cheap because I just got laid off from my job!
Compare my price to the other BMWs right here on eBay. Most BMWs this cheap are parts cars, flood cars, salvage cars, major problems, ect.
Starting price is only $2000!
Highest bid gets the car!
This is a 1990 BMW 525i (a.k.a. E34).
What a good looking body style!
I love this car & hate to sell it, but that's life....
Previous owner was an 82 year old retired cop who loved this car just as much as I do. Both of us have babied this car to the best of our abilities.
Body is not too bad. Not perfect, but totally presentable for a 23 year old car.
What little rust there is can hardly be seen. Drivers door is the worst part of the body.
Drivers door has small rust at the bottom edge & the paint is peeling at the molding. Vary bottom of fenders has some rust but still intact. Paint has typical chips and scratches. Passenger fender has a bit of a dent at the top.
Overall the body isn't bad for the age of the car. It is very presentable the way it is. From 10 feet away the car looks nice. I've had a lot of compliments on this car!
Interior is in surprisingly good condition. Other than no radio, there's not much to tell about the condition of the interior. As expected with a BMW, the cars has a lot of toys.
Photos can tell you cosmetic condition better than I can, so take a good look to judge for yourself.
The only needed mechanical repairs that I know of:
Drivers side rear strut mount is squeaking (I have a new one, just needs installed).
Water pump needs replaced (I have found a brand new one right here on eBay for $28). The car has not overheated on me, but probably would if left running long enough.
Muffler has a small hole in it (car already has a universal muffler, so I know there is no need to buy a high priced OEM muffler when a cheapie will fit this car).
There is a little electric motor in the dash which controls a duct flapper, it is making some noise, but not all the time.
There is no radio.
Car has a set of custom wheels on it. Much better styling than stock wheels in my opinion!
Work I've done since I've owned the car:
Fan clutch
Both front passenger side control arms
2 temp sensors
Idle control valve
Flushed cooling system
Replaced 1 tire.
Replaced air filter box.
Once the water pump is replaced I would consider this to be a reliable car. Wouldn't hesitate to use it as a daily driver.
I encourage anyone who is interested in this car to call me at 330-319-5138 to discuss the car, but please, serious buyers only.
If you would like to see the car in person, call me to set up an appointment.
I can not deliver the car. Transport is up to the buyer. I can store the car free of charge for up to 30 days to allow ample time for the buyer to make transport arangements.
A **non refundable** deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Pay Pal works best for the deposit. If you can not do Pay Pal, call me to discuss your options.
Final payment is due IN FULL within 7 days of the end of the auction. Final payment can be paid in cash, in person when picking up the car, but is still due within 7 days. If payment is not received within 7 days the car will be relisted, or offered to the next highest bidder. I will accept checks and money orders, but keep in mind... I RETAIN POSSESION OF THE CAR, AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAR, UNTILL ALL PAYMENTS HAVE CLEARED MY BANK, regardless of how long the bank takes to process the payment. In the past, the bank has taken as long as 10 days to process an out of state check.
This car is located in Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Ravenna is about 1/2 way between Akron & Youngstown, in N. E. Ohio. Close to Cleveland & PA.
A note to non USA buyers: All payments must be in USA funds via Pay Pal. I can not help with international shipping or customs.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Just like all the cars I've ever sold, this car is to be sold AS - IS.

Mini Vision Next 100 Concept: It's the autonomy, stupid
Thu, Jun 16 2016The concepts that Mini and Rolls-Royce showed off today – the Vision Next 100 Concept and 103EX, respectively – are all about autonomy. The Rolls-Royce doesn't even have a place for a "driver." And even though both are very much blue sky concepts, corporate parent BMW thinks it will make fully-autonomous cars within the next five years. That's according to Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, MINI, BMW Motorrad, Rolls-Royce, and Aftersales BMW Group, who also told us that both cars, at least in concept, are fully electric. The Rolls-Royce has dual-drive, 250kw motors mounted fore-and aft, on front and rear axles. While the Rolls is clearly a luxury concept for the monied few, the Mini is very much focused on a shared economy. Holger Hampf, Head of User Experience, BMW Group, said the chief design challenge of a car-sharing world is producing a car that could in theory mean different things to different borrowers. You get exclusivity because each car would morph according to the borrower's desires. BMW/Mini already have a car-sharing program in London called DriveNow, and a pilot program in Seattle called ReachNow, focused on the idea of shared exclusivity. ReachNow, which allows Mini/BMW owners to lend their cars out in an AirBnB-type scheme or to borrow "fleet-style cars," are immutable – however the car that was ordered is what the borrower or the owner will get. That's great if you're the owner, but it's also challenging for both anyone who'd buy that car used or for anyone borrowing the car. And if the future of most cars is a shared model (Ford is now offering multi-person leases among up to six buyers in a pilot program in Austin, Texas), customization is impossible. The result is what Schwarzenbauer derogatorily calls "normed." He says carmakers have to relearn to brand for a world where ownership is devalued but customization is key. To that end the MINI VISION NEXT 100 is "skinned." We've seen this before with the BMW NEXT concept that was revealed at the NY Auto Show this past spring, and the idea is to use the exterior of the car as a canvass that changes according to setting. Indeed Mini envisions that in a multi-driver household, the vehicle's customization could easily include changing colors according to driver preference – automatically. Dr.
The best cars we drove this year
Tue, Dec 30 2014Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.
BMW Vision Gran Turismo takes M235i Racing to the virtual extreme [w/videos]
Wed, 14 May 2014Late last year, Mercedes-AMG worked up a concept car called the Vision Gran Turismo. It presented it at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but that wasn't the point: the point was that it would feature in Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation 3. It wasn't the first concept created specifically for the popular driving simulator - following similar projects by Citroën and Red Bull Racing - and as we reported just a month later, it wouldn't be the last. What we have here is the next.
Looking like an even more extreme version of the M235i Racing, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo concept builds on "the tradition of the successful BMW touring cars of the 1970s" in a heart-pumping, if unfortunately strictly virtual form. It's got more extreme aero than the aforementioned M235i Racing and a striking take on the M division's signature light blue, dark blue and red stripe over white livery.
Underneath the digital bonnet sits the same 3.0-liter inline six as the M235i, but pumping out a prodigious (if theoretical) 549 horsepower - far more than the 333 hp in the actual Racing version or the 320 hp in the roadgoing model. Of course BMW has given it an ideal 50:50 front-rear weight distribution and a curb weight of 2,600 lbs - nearly a thousand pounds less than the roadgoing M235i.
