Thanks for looking at my 2000 540i M Sport. This car is in immaculate condition and will please even the pickiest of buyers. If you have been looking for one that has been meticulously maintained and drives like the day it pulled off the lot; than you have found it. The exterior is the first indication that you get that this vehicle has not seen hard days. There is not a ding on it and only one small scratch on the entire car at the bottom of the driver door. It is truly amazing looking. The silver paint is full of gloss as I hope the pictures can show. This car has been in Texas for its entire life so there are no rust issues at all. It is a 2 owner car with no accidents and a clean autocheck. The second owner bought the car in 2002 with 12k miles.
The looks are second to the way that this car drives. I get to drive many new BMW's and the steering and front end response in this car is no different than you would expect out of a 1 or 2 yr old BMW. It is excellent!! These cars are very hard to find in this sort of shape and maintained to this standard. This car has obviously been regularly dealer serviced down to the factory OEM brake pads currently on the car.
The drivetrain is excellent. The motor pulls extremely strong, the clutch is strong and gears shift out effortlessly. All options are in good working order including climate control, HID headlights, power windows, radio etc... The M Parralel wheels are near mint and are wrapped in Yokahama sport tires that are about 70% tread life left and evenly worn. Brand new battery bought this week as well.
The interior of the car is very nice as well. There are no stains, tears or rips in any of the upholstery, headliner or any area. All instument cluster illuminate well with clearly visible LCD letters and numbers. The only signs of wear on the car are on the driver floor mat which is common with a manual transmission. The driver seat shows some fading on the side pillar but shows no signs of splitting or tearing and could be easily re-dyed. Non smoker car and the interior smells very clean.
YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER ONE THAN THIS!!!
I would be happy to do a walk around of the car with any potential buyers on the phone so please don't hesitate to call with questions or for further info.
Known Flaws: A few tiny rock chips on the hood which have been touched up and are hard to notice; wear mark in driver floor mat; rear seat cupholder not working; window tint peeling loose at top of driver window.
PLEASE HAVE YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR BID. WINNING BIDS ARE A COMMITMENT TO BUY AND NOT A CHANCE TO LOOK FOR FUNDING.
Please take a second to check out my other BMW currently listed for sale.
Thanks,
Paul

BMW i3 with range extender could arrive after HOV stickers run out in CA
Tue, Feb 25 2014We will weep for the BMW i3 REx owner with ticket #40,001 for California's green HOV stickers. While the standard-issue battery-electric i3 has been deemed eligible for the state's white stickers, which allow for owners to drive in HOV lanes solo, the proverbial jury of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is still out on the BMW i3 REx, which will have a little-bitty range-extender on board, Transport Evolved says. The issue is that, while there is an unlimited number of white stickers for pure EVs such as the Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model S, the state has limited the number of green stickers, which grant solo-HOV access to plug-in hybrids and extended-range plug-ins, to 40,000. And with almost 29,000 green stickers given out as of the end of last year to cars such as the Chevrolet Volt and the Toyota Prius Plug In, they may run out within two months. The other key point is that the waiting list for the i3 with a range extender is running at about six months as of January, that could cause a bit of hand-wringing among folks looking to buy the REx. BMW said earlier this year that the extended-range version of the i3 would qualify for white stickers because the car is a so-called BEVx, meaning that its range-extender's full-tank range is less than the electric motor's single-charge range. BMW designed the i3 with a small range-extender tank of just 2.4 gallons, but the automaker estimated that California's green stickers wouldn't run out until the end of 2014.
BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R is ready for racing at Pebble Beach
Fri, Aug 14 2015Alongside the awesome Concept M4 GTS, BMW brought out a proper flight of fancy with an R version of the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept shown earlier this year at Villa d'Este. This stunner pays tribute to the German brand's legendary 3.0 CSL racer from the 1970s and BMW's 40th anniversary here in the United States (and looks a lot better than the previous concept, to boot). Wearing the M brand's iconic livery, the original 3.0 CSL Hommage's styling has been given a hefty makeover with race-derived components. The fascia gets a much more aggressive front splitter, while prominent side pipes highlight the lower section of the car's profile. The side vents look great with the M color scheme and feed air towards that gigantic wing. Like the non-R Hommage, BMW has lined the spoiler in LEDs to tie the taillights together. The concept's race-derived cabin is futuristic, like the standard Hommage. This car, though, neatly integrates the traditional M color scheme into its sculpted, white leather seats. Above the DTM-like steering wheel, the R's dash features more information than the regular 3.0 CSL Hommage. The coolest interior feature, though, is actually part of the driver's kit. The race helmet's visor doubles as an augmented reality display, meaning the Hommage R's pilot is essentially wearing the head-up display. It displays basic vehicle information, and like something out of Forza Motorsport, will even show the ideal line through a turn. We've got a lot of images of the new Hommage R. Below, you can see stock images of the new concept, while our live images are available up top. You can also scroll down for the official press release from BMW. BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R. The perfect fusion of driver and machine. Munich/Pebble Beach. In August every year car enthusiasts from all over the world gather for the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach to immerse themselves in the fascination of both automotive treasures from years gone by and pioneering studies for times to come. The BMW Group has come up with something very special this year with the world premiere of the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R – a car that celebrates both the 40th anniversary of BMW in North America and the heady racing success of the BMW 3.0 CSL in 1975. 1975 was the year the Bavarian manufacturer founded BMW of North America, its first official sales company outside Europe.
2017 Frankfurt Motor Show | Observations on the Ferrari Portofino, Honda Urban EV and more
Wed, Sep 13 2017Related: We obsessively covered the Frankfurt Motor Show — here's our complete coverage The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show kicked off the fall reveal season with an impressive array of powerful cars blended with forward-looking concepts. It's a seminal period for automakers, who find themselves at the intersection of disruption and opportunity. With that in mind, here are four takeaways from Frankfurt. The transformation of the curvy yet overbaked Ferrari California T into the Portofino is complete, and its coming-out party in Frankfurt served notice that Ferrari's entry-level sports car is much more formidable. There was nothing wrong with the California (and later the California T), but the Portofino features a cleaner look with stronger lines and an elegant resemblance to the rest of the Ferrari family. The California name is a good one. Used on a number of memorable cars in the 1950s and '60s, it's steeped in tradition, and certainly Ferrari will dust it off again. But switching to Portofino, the name of a scenic town in Italy, is a nice way to change the conversation and generate fresh interest in this part of the Ferrari portfolio. Man, people are stoked over the Honda Urban EV concept. Why? I assume it's the retro look that harks back to early Civics, and the lack of information about the concept itself. What people don't know, they're imagining. Honda hasn't even confirmed the range, the car is very small, and it likely won't be sold in the United States. With this dearth of facts, enthusiasts are filling in their own blanks. I guess that's OK. Count me among the intrigued. When I saw pictures of this thing early Tuesday morning, I was pretty excited, too. We do know Honda is expanding its electric strategy, and two-thirds of its new vehicles sold around the world will have some form of electrification by 2030. The Urban EV launches in Europe in 2019, and a hybrid CR-V rolls out in Europe next year. Unconfirmed for the U.S. market, it seems like a no-brainer to bring that version of the CR-V here. The electrification and autonomous tech parade of concepts continues. You gotta be there. It's the cost of doing business in the modern automotive landscape. This technology takes years to develop and launch, so the next best thing to remind the world you're trying to be cutting-edge is to show off lots of fancy concepts. Frankfurt had plenty. A couple standouts: The BMW I Vision Dynamics and Audi's Elaine and Aicon.
