Eight Cylinder, automatic BMW 540I M sport package. The car is well maintained, and has been serviced at the local BMW dealer. Oil and filter changed every 5K miles, transmission fluid changed every 60K miles. Service records available from dealer. Minor cosmetic stone chips in hood less than 1/16 of an inch and minor scratches on two wheels. Car is factory equipped with Navigation, park distance control, sport package, comfort seats, premium DSP stereo, and 5 disc CD changer. Added features: BMW bluetooth and BMW rear trunk spoiler. No accidents. Car drives and handles like new and has never been abused. Mileage is less than 10K miles per year. All car systems in excellent working condition and do not require repair. Just minor cosmetics noted above which are easily fixed, and faint odometer pixel ilumination. I am selling this car as well as the white 2003 540I with sport package also listed In Ebay motors. BMW hires Ferrari chief engineer Fedeli

There's going to be a little bit more Prancing Horse in some future BMWs because the Bavarian brand is hiring Ferrari chief engineer Roberto Fedeli to join the company in November. Fedeli's new position is still somewhat of a mystery though, and he reportedly might be lending his talents to the high performance M division or possibly even Rolls-Royce. When asked by Automotive News Europe, BMW said that it "currently can't say what his role will be."
Regardless of his new job, Fedeli was a big get for BMW because of his strong résumé. He has been with Ferrari since 1988 and led the engineering for the famous Italian automaker's vehicles since 2007. Fedeli tendered his resignation in September at around the same time that chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced his decision to leave the company. However, Ferrari told ANE that there was no connection between the two events.

BMW Concept 90 Motorcycle debuts at Villa d'Este

The Concept 90 is one of two new vehicles BMW is showing off at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the tony shores of Lake Como in Italy. This year is the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad and the 40th anniversary of the R 90 S (inset) - the first production motorcycle to come with a front fairing - and BMW has worked with custom bike builder Roland Sands Design to craft a homage to the Daytona Orange boxer from the Seventies.
While following the line of its forbearer, obviously the Concept 90 has been sexed and sleeked up. The bodywork is of hand-worked aluminum, the giant halogen lamp of the 1975 model (which is when Daytona Orange was introduced) has gone LED, and the front engine cover, valve covers, exhaust and wheels have been made with a contrast-cut milling process.
