This Turbo tribute is ready for daily use AS IS . Or can add additional features / performance upgrades to give you the perfect BMW 2002. We know there are many who would like to see a Tribute Turbo with a Turbo charged engine and we can install fuel injection manifold and turbo for modest investment or can show you how to do fairly inexpensively. We also have several 1972 Tii engine blocks and engines we use to build our high performance, big cam, port and polished M10 engines. Also have 5 speed we can drop into car for modest additional charges. Note: current setup with nice M10 engine, Weber 32/36, 4 speed is excellent for in town driving and light highway driving. Very comfortable, better then stock engine performance to enjoy or enjoy while you plot a monster powerplant.

Body and Appearance Upgrades

· Silver paint done in BMW Titanium Silver Metallic (same as orig Polaris Silver but better metallic that does not wash out in bright sunlight) . That is why BMW moved to this silver and used for 30 years as has better appearance in bright sunlight.

· Custom made solid 3M vinyl graphics to match BMW Turbo graphics but brighter and with solid color fast vinyl. Including reverse letter of "Turbo” and “2002” on front spoiler.

· New Panasport style 15 inch wheels with new Kumo 205 50 15 directional tread tires

· All trim, tail lights, etc. in excellent or new condition. Front turn signals are euro turn signals for both running lights and turn signals

· Euro chrome rear bumper with euro bumper straps all new

· Rubber in doors, windows, quarter windows, trunk seal, door handles all new. One rear window rubber vertical piece may need replacement and we can do before car leaves our facility

· Original stainless belt molding in good shape. Wome pieces with some oxidation some minor damage but gives car an original feel but easily polished or replaced with new bright pieces. We can replace with new molding if new owner requests

· Custom cup holder custom built into center shifter console.

· Dash in excellent shape with 2 or 3 minor cracks that been been repaired. Not perfect but nice

· New black sunroof headliner. Sunroof panel has a couple of screws in it to hold firmly. We can redo if you do not like and even install new cables. All works today but have to pull mechanism out to redo panel might as well put in new cables if pulling out.

· Sunroof works but works a bit tight because of tight fitting headliner.

Other Mechanical and Special Features

· Ice cold AC all new… works perfectly. All new modern under hood components with original Clardy inside evaporator unit redone with new motor and expansion valve

· Car has been used as a daily driver for 3 + years since build and has been nicely debugged ready for new owner

· Clutch in nice shape was installed new with rebuilt engine 2 years back

BMW maintenance plan no longer transferrable to 2nd owner

One of the best innovations in car buying in recent years is the rise of no-cost scheduled maintenance programs. Many people feel really anxious about taking their car in for service, and these deals help mitigate that somewhat. Obviously, it's not free for automakers to implement the offers, and now BMW is altering the way its four-year, 50,000-mile Maintenance Program works for some owners. "To keep such an offer sustainable we had to make a change," said Kenn Sparks, Manager of Business Communications at BMW North America, to Autoblog via email.
The original person to buy or lease the model isn't going to see any difference, but the program is no longer transferable to a second owner, unless that person is in the owners household. Those people include includes parents, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, in addition to someone like a spouse or children. The original owner just has to advise BMW of new user. "The program change will affect 2nd owners and for them BMW is introducing an optional full-maintenance product that covers the vehicle up to 100,000 miles," said Sparks. BMW and Roland Sands show off Concept 101 custom bagger

Though BMW may not be the first motorcycle manufacturer that comes to mind when you think of cruisers, that's precisely what the German marque has unveiled – in concept form at least Â– at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este this year. Appearing alongside the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept, the BMW Concept 101 is a custom "bagger" created in California through a collaboration between BMW Motorrad, BMW Designworks, and legendary bike builder Roland Sands. Better suited towards cruising down the highway than carving up a racetrack or a dirt trail, the Concept 101 strikes a rather stunning (if uncharacteristic) form. The elongated shape is rendered in materials like brushed aluminum, carbon fiber, and wood trim, tapering towards the rear that encompasses two hard saddle bags characteristic of this style of cruiser. The top half of the bike is done up in lighter shades than the dark bottom, capped by a saddle crafted in fine-grain black leather, perforated black leather and a strip of brown leather. Power comes commandingly from an inline-six displacing 1.6 liters Â– or about 101 cubic inches, which along with Highway 101, gives the concept bike its name. The engine breaths out through a pair of tailpipes, each with three outlets to emphasize the six-cylinder and envision what it would look like if Munich opted to take on the Honda Gold Wing F6C Valkyrie. Of course this isn't the first time BMW has done a bike with Roland Sands, nor the first time it's displaying a bike concept at Villa d'Este. Last year the German marque displayed the Concept Roadster at the same show, and did the Concept Ninety with the same custom shop at the previous year's concours. Two-box BMW X2 breaks from X4 and X6

Our first batch of BMW X2 spy photos has revealed something interesting about the German brand's newest compact CUV. Unlike the even-numbered X cars – the X4 and X6 Â– these shots show a traditional two-box CUV, rather than the plunging roofline of those lifted, four-door coupes. With a two-box design then, what is there to differentiate the X2 from the X1? For a start, while this is a similar to the X1 shots we've seen, the D-pillar and rear window are significantly more aggressive without compromising the traditional CUV design. That design backs up our spies, who claim the X2 will be a sportier version of the upcoming X1. But while the look will be similar, expect the two cars to share powerplants and drivetrains. That means the four-cylinder B48, used in both the Mini Cooper S and other BMW products, will be on offer at launch. That engine will be joined by turbocharged triples within the first 12 months on the market. An M Performance model will also be offered, boosting the B48's output from around 230 horsepower to an even 300 ponies. That'd put the X2 on a collision course with the Audi RS Q3, although it won't be quite as angry as the Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG. While the X2 could debut as early as the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, our spies claim the X2 won't hit dealerships until the second half of 2017.
