1974 Bmw 2002 on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
The 2002 is a must have for any red blooded BMW enthusiast. This is a
California Car that was bought from Bimmer Bros. in California and
brought here to Texas in 2005. It is virtually rust free which is a huge
plus with these type of cars. The original paint was fading and redone
in a mediocre way so don't expect perfect paint. The body is clean and
straight. I have over 11 years of maintenance and service records as
well as the original owners manual, service log, and Haynes manual. All
the glass is in good condition, the weatherstripping around the front
windshield and rear window are showing wear. The original spare and
flat tire equipment is in the trunk. Engine wise she runs well I've
noticed no leaks on the ground still to this day and the automatic
transmission shifts well. For those who don't like the idea of an auto
here is great news, the automatic has a bigger transmission tunnel so
swapping to a manual is a breeze there is no need to hammer out the
tunnel to make everything fit. This car was fitted with a frigidking Air
Conditioning unit, it is need of a charge but still operates. The
interior is aged and in need of a refresh, the driver seat has a tear
but the other seats do not but they have all lost their plush and
luster. The dash is cracked due to heat and age. All of the electronics
work except the radio and the hazzard switch. All of the tires are good
to go, and the car stops well. The struts are a little tired but it
still rides well. The odometer stopped at 37K. Runs very well. These
cars are hard to find in decent condition and rust free under 10k. Must pay TTL if the vehicle is being registered in the state of Texas. Serious buyers only 512-999-4483 (No dealers or low ballers)

This is the BMW Z4 GTE that will wear the Roundel in ALMS
Sun, 17 Feb 2013The Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway are a month of racing and reveals, with the season's metal going for the flag at races like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and other cars being introduced to the public. In the latter category is the BMW Z4 GTE (click the image above to enlarge) joining the American Le Mans Series GT class this year with BMW Team RLL (Rahal, Letterman and Lanigan). This machine replaces the M3 GT that completed four years of service and won the class title in 2010 and 2011. Naturally, the team is tempering expectations for the Z4 GTE by repeating the fact that it sees this season as a development year.
BMW Team RLL drivers for its two cars will be Bill Auberlen and series rookie Maxime Martin in the No. 55, aided by Jörg Müller for the endurance races at Sebring and Road Atlanta. The No. 56 car gets Dirk Müller on a full-time basis, Joey Hand when he's not competing in the DTM series, and John Edwards when Hand isn't available. Uwe Alzen will help out with driving duties in the No. 56 at endurance races.

A BMW i3 will cost you $100,000 in Brazil
Wed, Oct 1 2014Brazil is a long way from the US, and the price of the BMW i3 in that South American country is even further away from what Americans pay for the same electric vehicle. But that hasn't stopped a few wealthy Brazilians from taking the plunge. The BMW i3 REx – i.e., the one with the gas-powered range-extender – is the first mass-produced vehicle of its kind to be imported to Brazil (there are a few Nissan Leaf vehicles in fleet use), and those intrepid buyers are forking over about $100,000 to own the vehicle, according to Just-Auto. The country's first 100 i3's were recently received in Sao Paolo, and about 30 of them have been sold. That pricetag is a wee bit higher than in the US, where the i3 starts under $42,000. BMW did open a $261-million factory in Brazil this year, but the i3 continues to be produced exclusively in Germany. It's not just fancy new plug-in cars and World Cup tickets that cost a lot in Brazil. The Volkswagen Golf, which retails for less than $18,000 in the States, costs about $23,000 in Brazil and the Economist ran a series of articles last year explaining how currency changes have resulted in the dollar-to-Brazilian real exchange rate surging in recent years.
Renderings may show upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe
Thu, 26 Dec 2013We've already shown you spy images of the latest member of the BMW Gran Coupe family, the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Following the trend of the larger 6 Series Gran Coupe, the 4 Series variant grafts a spare set of doors onto its two-door body.
Now, the f30post forum has come up with what it says are patent drawings of the new 4GC (originally from Chinese site Autohome.com), giving a glimpse of what the coupe-sedan-thingy looks like without its camo in the way. What we're seeing is seemingly a mix of the 3 Series GT (noticeable around the rear window) with the larger Gran Coupe styling, while retaining the current 4 Series front end.
We can't say it looks great, but as these are merely renderings, it's far too early for us to come to a final conclusion on the overall look of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Have a look up top at the patent images. We've also included our spy photos of the new Gran Coupe below. Let us know what you think of the latest niche product from BMW down in Comments.
