2007 Bentley Continental GTC - Mansory Gt63 - White over Tan Interior - Black Top - Over $40,000 Spent on custom work. Its difficult to find a Bentley in White with a full Mansory Kit that looks like this one. They dont come around often. I bought the car locally in Miami, Fl about 19 months ago. My wife and I are about 2 weeks from having our first baby boy so we are looking for a Flying Spur or something with some additional room for our new little addition. The car has a dealer installed Mansory Gt63 full body kit. The kit includes the complete front and rear bumpers, the side skirts, and a rear spoiler on the trunk deck. All trim as well as the front grill shell changed from chrome to black. We added the 22" Forgeline wheels in matte black which ride just like it did with stock wheels. Zero rubbing when turning lock to lock etc. The car has a lowering module installed to create a great look and feel. Again, zero rubbing, no different than stock. JCM Performance in Pompano Beach handles the normal servicing requirements per manufactures specifications. However, we have never had any repairs or issues to date. Just normal servicing. Factory Info below - A beautiful 2007 Bentley Continental GT dressed in White on premium hide cream leather interior. This vehicle raises the bar--and lowers the price--of what we expect in the ultra-premium GT segment. Excellent interior materials, high-tech controls and features that make sense, all-wheel-drive confidence, "reasonable" price for a car in its Class.
According to Bentley, the Continental GT was "conceived to be a sporting coupe without rival." Striking in design, it's a full four-seater with four-wheel drive. Breathing with the assistance of twin turbochargers, its compact 552-horsepower W-12 engine drives a paddle-operated six-speed sequential automatic gearbox that promises supercar performance. The Continental GT can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile flashes by in just 12.9 seconds at 109.7 mph. For reference, the GT can even outgun a same-year Porsche 911. Hedonists will be ga-ga once they slip into the sensuously styled cabin. Fit and finish are spectacular, with gleaming brightwork, veneers so lustrous they seem to have come from liquid trees and leather rich enough to make the people at Prada pout. The car's stoutness has its benefits--doors clump shut, vibrations and road intrusions are almost nonexistent--but handling responsiveness suffers. Even with wide, 20-inch sport tires, the Continental GT corners with liberal understeer and changes direction with regal deliberateness, not quick reflexes. One could argue, though, that a 64.9-mph slalom speed is very impressive for a nearly 2.5-ton, almost 16-foot-long luxury car.Carfax Note: In Novemeber of 2013, my wife had another driver bump into the drivers side rear rim while pulling out of the Whole Foods parking lot in South Beach. The wheel was the only part that contacted the other persons car. It was a few mph in a parking lot. We would be happy to take the car to Bentley to show that no paint work was ever needed or performed for piece of mind. I took pictures of the scratched wheel in case they are needed. New Bentley Continental GT debuts next month with hybrid power
Thu, May 16 2024Bentley has a new Continental GT coming next month, but it won’t arrive with the gas-only 8- or 12-cylinder engines seen in years past. The fourth-generation car will get BentleyÂ’s new Ultra Hybrid Performance powertrain, a plug-in hybrid system that delivers big power from a V8 combined with an electric motor. The automaker claims 771 horsepower and around 738 pound-feet of torque from the electrified powertrain, saying that it will make the new GT “the most powerful and most dynamically capable Bentley road car in the companyÂ’s 105-year history.” For reference, the current GTÂ’s W12 engine produces 650 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, propelling the car to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The current V8 makes 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Bentley didnÂ’t give acceleration numbers for the new model, but with more than 100 additional horsepower and more than 70 extra pound-feet of torque over the W12, it should be noticeably quicker. Bentley also claims the Continental GT will have 50 miles of electric-only range and carbon dioxide emissions of under 50 grams per kilometer. Power will continue to go through all four wheels along with torque vectoring and an electronic limited-slip differential. Bentley will also include more trick features such as four-wheel steering and its 48-volt electronic active anti-roll control. The automaker may continue offering a gas V8 as an entry point to the line, but hasn't confirmed it either way. The Continental GT comprises a third of BentleyÂ’s overall sales, with almost 100,000 units sold in its more than 20-year run on the market. That popularity is reflected in the number of GT variants Bentley offers, though we donÂ’t yet know how and where the hybrid will be positioned in the GT catalog. Prices will likely climb a bit to start around $250,000 and could reach the mid-$300,000 range at the top. Â
Bentley builds its final 6.75-liter V8, ending a 61-year production run
Tue, Jun 2 2020Bentley has just finished its very last 6.75-liter V8. While engines come and go, this is significant because Bentley has been building this engine, known as the L-series, for 61 years. This final engine will go in the 30th and last Bentley Mulsanne, a 6.75 Edition by Mulliner, marking the end of the flagship sedan. The L-series engine was first introduced in 1959, and according to Bentley, it was developed in order to develop more power than its existing inline-six without adding weight or taking up more space. The engine in fact weighed 30 pounds less than the six-cylinder, and it made about 180 horsepower. That original engine "only" had 6.2-liters of displacement, and it wasn't until 1971 that it would reach 6.75 liters thanks to increased stroke. This final version of the engine is significantly different from its fuel injection to its twin-turbochargers, but is based on the same design. And with 530 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, it's the most powerful iteration of the engine. At 61 years, the Bentley engine is arguably the V8 with the longest production run. While the first-generation Chevy small block V8 was introduced earlier for the 1955 model year and is still built in crate engine form, GM stopped using it in production cars in 2002. Far fewer Bentley engines were built, though, with a total over 36,000, as opposed to the millions of Chevy small blocks in the world. Of course, volume is sort of the antithesis of what makes a Bentley a Bentley. With the 6.75-liter engine out of production, all of Bentley's engines are derived from VW Group engines, from its W12 to the plug-in hybrid V6. Related Video: Â Â
Bentley Continental GT art car is meant to move while standing still
Mon, Sep 30 2019Art cars are always cause for interest, so when a Bentley “art car” pops up, we take notice. This particular Bentley wasnÂ’t commissioned by the folks in Crewe, but instead by a dealership in the U.K. named Jack Barclay Bentley. The art on the car was applied via a wrap over a black paint job, and itÂ’s the work of Icelandic artist Katrin Fridriks. A new Continental GT was the canvas for this work, and there is an explanation as to the motivations of the artist. The piece is part of FridriksÂ’ “Speed of Light — Commander” show. Its design is meant to give the car a sense of speed and motion even when sitting still. Only black, white and gray were used. HereÂ’s what is said about the art in the official write-up from the dealership: “Utilising an exceptionally limited color palette between black and white, the artistÂ’s intervention allows the bold, hand-crafted lines of the car to come through her energetic liquid shapes. The abstract organic forms applied on the elegant surface of the powerful vehicle are following its impeccable design, accenting its raw performance and motion. Starting with harmonious flowing marks in the front and accelerating towards splattering paint on the back, she is offering a different and unique appearance of the car depending on the variety of viewing points.” The language used is rather flowery, but what else should we expect from Bentley? Jack Barclay Bentley also happens to be the oldest Bentley dealer in existence, having sold Bentleys for 92 years now. This car will be on display at the dealership in London's Mayfair district until Oct. 7 before itÂ’s sent on a number of special events with JD Malat Gallery.
