Bentley Turbo RL Bespoke order 1992 Rare Long Wheel Base with special options Buyer's choice of wheels; 15" Factory originals with Avon Turbosteels or retro-fitted 18" 2001 Bentley Arnage wheels.
Here is a really stunning looking Bentley Turbo RL finished in Tudor Red with 2-tone black Connolly hides with burgundy accents (seat piping and floor rugs). The twin fine lines to the waist-rails are hand-painted in black. This is a "real" Bentley when they were an integral part of Rolls-Royce; built side-by-side Rolls-Royces using Rolls-Royce parts, Rolls-Royce engineering, Rolls-Royce manufacturing and craftsman, all on the same factory production line which made Crewe famous for everything and anything Rolls-Royce AND Bentley. (See Wikipedia link: Crewe factory) Photographs of the car show it with its original factory specification 255/65 15 Avon Turbospeed tyres on original Turbo R alloy wheels and also with a retro-fitted set of genuine 2001 Bentley Arnage 18" wheels and tyres. The car is being sold with its factory 15" set but should you prefer the Arnage wheels as photographed, these are available at extra cost. Please enquire. ~~ This very masculine Bentley Turbo RL is a stunning example which simply oozes road presence! Being a rare and unique example, it makes for a wonderful addition to any collection or provide that special "oomph" for your Friday night ride! ~~ * The car was originally special ordered thru North America's Rolls-Royce and Bentley distributor and we suspect was imported via one of its Canadian dealerships prior to being delivered to its first owner in New York (or perhaps delivered to the first owner in Canada - we are not sure). As such, the car was fitted with a kilometer odometer and the Carfax report reflects all readings in kilometers. The odometer has been converted to miles and current indicated readings are quoted in miles. Notwithstanding, because of its age and to conform with state law, the car is being sold mileage exempt In addition to the photos shown in this listing, please click on this link below to see some 150 photos. to the right side front door pillar (where it would be for a right-hand drive car). I can see the gents scratching their heads when they realised it was a LHD Bentley! So the solution? "Lets just install another set on the driver side too!" Buyer's choice of wheels. For the purist;15" Factory originals with Avon Turbosteels or,
The in-car entertainment system cost some $7,000 when specially ordered thru Bentley.
A note from RRMOTORSINC: When our Rolls-Royces and Bentleys are commissioned for resale, they are indeed professionally and correctly “fully work-shopped”. No corners are cut. And it is all addressed in true Doors and windows:- ~~oo00oo~~
PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BID AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. I am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is subject to the perils of age. Further, Rolls-Royces and Bentleys are not without nuances and idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. This is well documented in many circles. You need to be a special and considerate type of purchaser to own a Rolls-Royce or Bentley. Their down-side is part of the fun in owning them! As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: This Bentley is part of the collection of the "RRMOTORSINC": Qualified & experienced in Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars world-wide for more than 30 years |

Bentley designers talk about Intelligent Details
Fri, 16 May 2014Bentley Director of Design Luc Donckerwolke certainly thinks highly of the vehicles he creates. "We are the only ones that offer performance compatible with luxury," he says in Intelligent Details, a new short documentary commissioned by the brand. While that might be a bit hyperbolic (the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG says hello), the company does have a long history of blending elegant interiors, sophisticated exteriors and powerful engines. The film examines how crafting that works in the modern world.
Intelligent Details stars Donckerwolke and his colleague Head of Exterior Design Sang Yup Lee as they ride in two contrasting Bentley Mulsannes through New York City. They talk about what makes a Bentley special, but their biggest focus is their belief that automotive interiors can no longer by "a closed cocoon," according to Donckerwolke. It has to transform into a living space thanks to the brand's interior infotainment technology.
The message might be self-aggrandizing, but the short film itself is beautifully shot and edited with some loving looks at the city. The way it was actually made could be the most surprising part of all. We don't want to spoil it here, but scroll down and watch the whole video to see.
Behold my hideous Bentley!
Thu, Mar 26 2020Do you all just love my hideous Bentley? It's so insane and tacky. I'm sure if I were to actually order this a British lord somewhere would dispatch his valet to slap me. Who knows where I'll figuratively be in two weeks' time, but today turns out to be the day I turned to see just how tacky certain car configurators will let you get. Admittedly, they're almost all high-dollar, extra-low-volume cars. If you try to play around on a Honda configurator, you'll have wrapped things up in about 30 seconds. But Bentley, now that's a company that'll let you get tacky on its configurator. I chose the new Continental GT Convertible because the lowered roof would make it easy to demonstrate in pictures the level of my tackiness. From there, it was this eye-searing Apple Green, though I was certainly tempted by Azure Purple and Magenta. Roof choice? I was expecting there to be more, nevertheless, Claret red seemed like a suitably awful pairing. Inside, well, let's crack those knuckles and get to work. Luckily, Bentley lets you choose two different leather colors: Main and Secondary "hides" with five choices of how to split those colors. Sorry, colours. I chose Colour Split B cause it seemed to have the most of each colour. For the Main Hide, I went with Hotspur, an extremely red shade of red that would be home in an early 2000s BMW. Cumbrian Green and Damson purple were tempting, but they just weren't bright enough, and I thought they wouldn't pair poorly enough with the Secondary Hide: Newmarket Tan, which is pretty damn orange. You can't see it, but the interior of the roof is Blue. For the veneer, I went with Tamo Ash, 'cause yuck. Finally, throw on some black wheels, and voila, my tacky Bentley. I must say, this is most definitely tackier than the real Bentley Flying Spur I once tested that looked like South Beach threw up inside. So much white and teal. Oh, and that ash wood. A Bentley rep told me they ordered it by mistake. Now, Bentley isn't the only high-dollar outfit that lets you indulge in such tacky fantasies. Most other British brands do, including Mini, and the Germans offer plenty of color choices as well, usually through some special custom program like Audi Exclusive. Porsche makes it especially easy, though, which you can see in my other craptacular creation below.
2019 Bentley Continental GT First Drive Review | A grand tourer learns to dance
Thu, May 10 2018The Austrian Alps are a curious venue to show off that great hunter of the highways, the Bentley Continental GT. With deep green forests and soaring thrusts of exposed rock, the Alps are one of those few places where the natural world still reigns supreme. Humanity isn't going to change this place much. You can forget about six-lane freeways blasted through rock — the only way to get around is on narrow, twin lanes. True to its name, the coupe is perhaps the truest grand touring car on the market — comfort happily married to speed. I once logged a personal best time between New York City and Boston in a base GT, despite a pounding nighttime rain. Even that miserable East Coast route felt easy in the GT, which eats through highway miles in a peculiarly relentless fashion. It was born for distance. This is our first drive of the new, third-generation car, which won't be sold in North America for another year, at a starting price of $214,600. We've been told it is a changed machine — a GT still, but with more nimbleness. And now we're about to find out, having left behind quaint Austrian villages for a steep mountain road that switchbacks up toward the clouds. It's everything you hope and dream when you fantasize about the Alps. Before me is a straightaway interrupted by a quick left-right bend and an uphill switchback. A small twist of hands on the nicely weighted steering wheel and the Bentley jukes through the left-right fluidly; no need to brush the brakes until we're right up to the hairpin. Then a firm push on the stoppers and a full lock of the steering wheel and — listen to that! — tire noise from the 21-inch Pirellis as we get back on the gas early. The car stays remarkably flat despite the camber of the turn. I snap open my hands and flat-foot the accelerator. Another hairpin beckons just beyond. And so it goes, the Conti welcoming a full-throated uphill attack. We get to the top and begin the fall back down the mountain, which is even more illuminating. This is the model with the W12 — the only one available at launch, notorious for carrying too much weight in its nose. Take a previous generation on a tight downhill route and you wrestle the grille through the turns, giving up entry speed to mitigate inevitable front-end push. It was a point-and-shoot car, relying on good brakes and ample power to make up lost time through the turns. This new generation is a momentum machine. There is a newfound rhythm and flow. It is deft and it is nimble.
