Attention all you Carfaxers and Auto Checkers..... I don't know what will show up on the Auto Check but..... This is a 3 owner vehicle! I registered it back and forth from NJ to NC a few times in mine and my wife's name for insurance reasons. Also, this vehicle was NEVER in an accident per say. A deer (small doe) hit ME! I did not hit the deer! The deer hit me! It ran into the front fender (side of car) and caused minor damage that was professionally repaired at a professional hi-tec body shop! If you can see where the damage was, I'll give you the car. (just kidding) You can't see any sign of it though. This is my personal vehicle. It has been extremely well maintained and quite frankly may be one of the nicest in the country. First of all this color combination does not come around very often and the baseball glove interior is a highly sought after option. This vehicle is completely stock with the exception of a smart phone compatible, blue tooth Alpine radio that I had installed. Of course, I have the factory radio which is in perfect working order and will come with the sale of the vehicle. Not too long ago, I had the wheels removed and powder coated to the original factory silver color because the clear was pealing slightly. They are all PERFECT now. As you can see by the pictures, the 4 matching Bridgestone Potenza high performance tires are NEW! Your lucky if they have 2000 miles on them! There is NOTHING you need to do to this vehicle except get in and drive and enjoy! The timing belt and water pump was done at 78,000 miles so no need to worry about that for about 110,000 miles more! Note the pictures of the timing belt being done and the cleanliness of the underside of the vehicle. Everything in the vehicle works exactly like it should and all the lenses and glass are clear and chip and crack free. This is a non smoking vehicle that turns heads EVERYWHERE! I can NEVER drive down the street in the day light or in the city lights and not have people stare and give shout outs, especially when the top is down. The fact of the matter is, most people have no idea it's a 2001. It looks like a new car or at least a newer very expensive car. With that said, I will let you know that I am a 45 year old man that treats his possessions with the utmost care. This car is as tight as when it came off the assembly line and has been driven with much care. It has NOT been beat! This vehicle has the 225 HP AMU engine which is a much more peppy and powerful engine option. Of course it is a 6 speed that shifts flawlessly. The clutch is tight. The breaks are great. There are NO leaks of any kind from anywhere. The top is leak and rip free. As a matter of fact I can't even think of anything that someone would complain about. With that said, the car is not brand new although you will find it very nice. To cover my butt, I will say there maybe a very few and very minor cosmetic imperfections that anyone would find on ANY vehicle that is 13+ years old. Of, course you may need a magnifying glass to find them. The "typical" Audi things that you may be familiar with, (example: pixilated display screen) that sometimes go wrong, are NOT an issue with this vehicle. Everything if needed, has been professionally addressed. I looked long and hard to find this one and I paid a premium for it! I have enjoyed it for around 4 years now and it's just time to move on. Frankly I have 5 vehicles and as you can see by the mileage, this one doesn't get driven very much. Someone will be very happy to own this fantastic car. Please note the mileage may be slightly higher at the time of pick up as I still do drive this vehicle and the weather is fantastic! Please check my feedback and feel confident. I have sold some high dollar items on here and have never had a complaint. Also, I am much more picky then the average person. So, most of the time if it's exceptional to me it's going to be exceptional to anyone else and that goes for this car or anything for that matter. If you have ANY questions or concerns or would like to make a verbal offer feel free to call me. I can best be reached at 609-513-1588. My name is Mike One last thing.... I know what some people have bought Audi TT's on here for. Please don't call me and tell me about the one that sold for $7,000.00! THIS IS NOT THAT ONE! This is an exceptional car that need nothing and that is in fantastic shape! |

Porsche says goodbye to Audi's Le Mans team in this classy video
Fri, Dec 16 2016Well, this is cute. You may remember that in 2014 Audi made a video to welcome Porsche, its corporate sibling, back to Le Mans racing. It involved an Audi race car, a farmer on an old Porsche tractor, and the street in front of Porsche HQ. With Audi leaving Le Mans after a successful 18-year run, Porsche is returning the favor with this sort of sappy video. There's not much more to it. The video starts with clips from the original, where the Porsche-diesel-tractor-driving farmer is passed by an Audi R18 that traveled from Ingolstadt to Stuttgart to make some very precise German street graffiti (in English). Then, in the present day, the farmer hears the news of Audi leaving LMP1 and he gets an idea while Joe Cocker's "Up Where We Belong" starts to play. (Yes, seriously.) We won't spoil the ending for you. It still stinks that Audi had to leave Le Mans racing in the wake of the diesel scandal to focus on Formula E racing instead. But it's good to see there are no hard feelings between the two VW Group brands, at least as far as the marketing departments are concerned. We expect the Porsche-Audi sibling rivalry and corporate squabbles to continue behind closed doors, however. Related Video: Audi Porsche Racing Vehicles Videos porsche 919 hybrid
2016 Audi S6 Quick Spin [w/video]
Wed, Jul 8 2015Back in my salad days, when I was rocking a the greatest Civic Si of all time, the occasional pair of leather pants, and a yen for malt liquor and grass (both of which quickly put an end to the leather pants), a car like the 2016 Audi S6 would've made my head explode. "What's that?" I might have asked. "A roomy four-seat Audi with more than 400 horsepower and all-wheel drive, that looks like it was sculpted by Ralph McQuarrie? Pushing 30 mpg and under five seconds to 60 miles per hour? The hell you say." And that's even before Future Me showed Skinny Me an interior full of carbon fiber and aluminum, God's own quilted-leather sport buckets, and a 'radio' that would've made my Dreamcast look like an Atari 6400. (If you haven't picked up on the vibe yet, I was kind of a weird nerd in the late '90s.) Gentlemen, we live in the future; I just drove a mid-cycle-refresh Audi that proves it. Driving Notes The 4.0-liter, turbocharged V8 is tailor-made for smoothly pulling around anything less-well-endowed than the M5/E63/CTS-V set. Now up to 450 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque (versus the 420 hp and 406 lb-ft of last year's model), there's enough pull in the easily accessible powerband to satisfy all but lunatic drivers. It doesn't feel staggeringly fast, but that's only because 500 horsepower has become so commonplace in the new uber sedan game. It's quick enough. Remember when 250 hp was a crazy number? The car sounds like it has a V8, too. That may seem obvious, but in Generation Direct Injection things tend to get a bit clattery. You'll get some of that if you open the hood with the engine running (as I did in one of the Short Cuts above), but none where it counts: behind the wheel, windows up, stereo down, foot to the floor. That recipe delivers a hushed, baritone-sung song about understatement. Less subtle is the braking force when used at or near the top of its ability. After a moment of surprise and delight while decelerating in normal traffic, I went back-road hunting to test a few pseudo panic stops. Vented 15.7-inch front discs, with 14-inchers in the rear, provided a fast and steady haul-down from 70 miles per hour. Remember when wheels were 15 inches? I mean, you need those big brakes and potent engines to move and stop a car this hefty. With a base weight of 4,486 pounds – no doubt heavier still in my loaded, Dutchman-driven example – it still kind of blows my mind to see the 27-miles-per-gallon highway number.
More next-gen Audi TT details revealed
Fri, 10 May 2013We still only have rumors about the third-generation Audi TT said to be scheduled for launch in late 2014, but based on a report in Car and Driver, we know a tiny bit more about it. The base engine will be the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with direct injection, but horsepower is said to be 220 horsepower - that would make for a nine-hp jump over the current output. The TTS would get an even larger power boost, going from 265 currently to 300 hp. The TT RS would stick with it's 2.5-liter five cylinder, with output increased from 360 to 380 hp. If Audi includes a nice dose of the go-light engineering involved in the TT Ultra Quattro, these horsepower numbers might be even more impressive.
As with the TT concept and first-generation production car, though, it sounds like the brand is concentrating on aesthetics. It's been widely reported that Audi wants to reclaim the juju conjured by the original TT, and while we still don't know what that means outside, CD reports that the interior gets simplified, "futuristic-feeling" styling thanks to instruments served up on a TFT screen. Remember, the first Audi TT had a cockpit that Car magazine dubbed simply, "The Cabin."
About a year after the coupe comes, the Audi TT Roadster will show up and should be joined by the next A5. The news for the next version of the subtly beautiful coupe is the arrival of a plug-in hybrid with torque vectoring via an electric motor for the rear axle. Beyond that is wilder speculation of an A9, which might be called Q9, and which was the four-door-coupe flavor of the month two years ago when it was possibly going to share a platform with the Lamborghini Estoque. According to the CD story, the thinking now is around "a combination of fastback and crossover proportions," a two-fer we've yet to see any carmaker pull off without making us go, "Oh. I see."
