!!! ~ NO RESERVE ~ !!!

EXTREMELY RARE, LOW MILEAGE 2005.5 (B7 platform) AUDI S4 in Brilliant Red Exterior and stunning silver leather interior with hard to find factory carbon fiber trim.

I am the third owner of this beautiful vehicle.  The Audi recently passed PA emissions and inspection.  I planed on trading it in on our the new vehicle for our family, but I feel based on the service history, low mileage, condition, color combo rarity, and care put into this vehicle the dealerships offer of $14k trade was quite low and I could do better selling it outright. Look at the drivers seat for instance, there is not even a love handle mark in the leather.  The interior is 99% perfect.

How rare you ask?  Well, there is NOT ONE, YES NOT ONE B7 6-speed manual for sale in all of North America under 75,000 miles with these factory options, let alone the tasteful upgrades below.  Don’t believe me?  On autotrader search 2005-08, manual, red exterior, ivory interior, under 75k, w/factory navigation.  Results returned you kindly ask…ZERO!

It goes without saying that a vehicle like this rarely comes along.  Better yet, it will easily qualify for a extended warranty.  For instance, when we bought the car a couple years ago we had the option to purchase a extended warranty for just a few thousand.

That being said, within the last 3,000 miles the following items have been serviced:

  1. Factory wheels have been chromed.  Yes, these are OEM Audi S4 wheels.  This is the only S4 I have ever seen with chrome wheels and it really completes the high end look.
  2. Transmission and differential fluids flushed
  3. Oil changed on schedule
  4. New brake pads front and rear
  5. New rear Audi OEM rotors
  6. New spark plugs
  7. 4 New all Season Continental Pure Contact Tires
  8. New front upper and lower control arms
  9. Replaced front driver side CV axel (CV boot was leaking)
  10. New wheel bearings
  11. New HID headlamp Bulbs (no flickering issues like some S4’s have with the ballasts)
  12. Coolant system fluid flush
  13. New coolant system tank (old was looking yellow due to age so it was replaced)
  14. New wiper blades
  15. Battery replaced with heavy cycle AGM series
  16. LLumar (very light) window film
  17. New serpentine belt and tensioner
  18. All season VW factory Audi factory front and rear floor mats, including trunk

Aftermarket items include (all completed within the last 10k)

  1. JHM 93 Octane performance engine management ECU tune
  2. RS4 cat-back performance exhaust
  3. Vogtland springs and coilovers front/rear
  4. Porsche Cayanne big brake kit front
  5. SS stainless steel brake lines front
  6. Ventilated Brake disc rotors (front only)
  7. 5mm H&R spacers front and rear, used to clear big brake kit
  8. 034 motorsports large air intake
  9. Pipercross performance foam air filter
  10. Wolfsburg shift knob (factory OEM leather knob will be included in sale)
  11. RS4 gas/brake/foot rest aluminum peddle set
  12. Apikol snub mount upgrade
  13. Michael Andretti personally signed the (unused) ash tray cover…cool!

To the very best of my knowledge, all electronic features work on this vehicle (i.e. interior lights, buttons, mirrors, etc.), and unlike many used S4's, the surfaces of all interior parts look almost new will practically no wear marks or scratches.  In full disclosure, the dealership we were going to trade it in too found out that the first owner of this vehicle was in a parking lot fender bender and the rear bumper was replaced.  According to the report it was a very low speed collision and the air bags did not deploy and no mechanical items required repair, only cosmetic.  Audi did an excellent job replacing the bumper and obviously it never created any issues for the second or third owner (us), and we didn’t know this since the auto check report didn’t show the cosmetic repair when we bought the car.  Otherwise, all she needs is a good home and caring new owner.

Good luck and happy bidding!  Feel free to contact me for a phone number to discuss through ebay too.  I AM NOT DEALER, and tire kickers are not appreciated. NO TRADES, again, only selling to do a little better than the dealer trade in offer for quick cash.  Clear title, but it will show a lien.  The lien has been paid off as of 1-10-14, but it may still show since the title is in process from our financial institution to us.  Please, do not let this become a concern, we will verify the lien is paid in full for interested parties.  Factory manuals included in sale. All receipts for work included too. No pets, no smoking, no odors, garage kept. Overall, a exceptionally clean car.  THANK YOU!!!!

I reserve the right to end the auction early, so if interested, please make me a (reasonable) offer.

New Audi Quattro concept coming to Frankfurt?

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

We first saw the Audi Quattro Concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and since then we've been tugged this way and that by a series of rumors as to whether the car will be built or not, and whether such a car will live at the accessible or the exalted end of the cost spectrum. A report in Germany's Auto Zeitung from June restarted the fires of gossip with a report that a production version of the concept will appear at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and put it firmly in the exalted sphere.
Now, just a month from the show, Auto Bild has a similar report, sketching out an upmarket car but on a different platform. Back when we drove it, the Quattro concept was built on a spaceframe based on the RS5 platform and got its go from a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 380 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque (the show car got 408 hp from a turbocharged five-cylinder). The June report from Auto Zeitung said this new reveal would be powered by a modified version of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from the RS7 that would put out something like 650 hp. Auto Bild, on the other hand, reports that the engine will be tuned to something like 600 hp and the new concept will ride on an "enhanced" version of the A6 platform.
Both reports agree that the car we'll see will preview Audi's new design language with "tauter, more angular lines." Lightweight and exotic materials will be used in efforts to reach a supposed target weight of 1,200 kilograms (2,640 pounds), down from a target of 2,900 pounds in earlier report. Auto Bild says that Audi still hasn't decided whether to make a production version, but if they are correct about the direction of the concept, any retail offering based on it isn't going to be cheap.

Pre-Race notes from the 2015 Nurburgring 24-Hours

Sat, May 16 2015

Autoblog has come to the German countryside to watch the Nurburgring 24-Hour race, and just one day in, we have to say it's outstanding. Le Mans has been the highlight of our summer racing schedule for the past few years, the 'Ring 24-Hour event being the appetizer we always skipped. Earlier this year, however, while visiting Miami to check out the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S, we met Scott Preacher. He oversees digital marketing for both Cigarette and AMG during the week, then comes to Germany to compete in the VLN race series on the weekends, driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for Team Mathol. If Le Mans is the Oscars of endurance racing, the Nurburgring 24-Hour race is the Screen Actors Guild award – the one voted on by the actors, for the actors. In this case it's the race by the teams and fans, for the teams and fans, even though the increasing manufacturer presence has altered the team equation. We were told that it wasn't so long ago that true privateers could win the overall, but that's not really the case anymore. Front-running teams have heavy factory involvement – Audi Sport Team Phoenix, for instance, which finished in first and third last year, has its own 'Ring race center and is running the 2016 R8; Aston Martin is represented by Aston Martin Racing and Aston Martin Test Center, and Bentley has a Bentley Motors team and uses HPT to run another team. The fan component hasn't changed, though, and you can't talk about the race for more than 60 seconds before someone brings up the battalions of spectators. Every driver we spoke to cited them as the most incredible part of this race after the track itself. It feels to us like a giant German Sebring, with thousands of people camped out in the ginormous, forested infield, many of whom have been here since Monday erecting their ornate camping compounds. There will be parties everywhere Saturday night, and so much bratwurst on the grill that the drivers can smell it when as they're blasting full speed through Wehrseifen. Even when we drove a Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe on a lap before the race, the fans waved like it was a competition. Scott Preacher's Australian co-driver Robert Thompson said, "You come around a corner and it's like you're driving full speed through the middle of a carnival." The race field itself could also be called a carnival, with an officially invited field of more than 170 cars. Even on a track that's 24.4-km long, that's like racing on the 405 at midday.

Audi stealthily tests RS4 Avant

Thu, Oct 29 2015

With S3s, R8s and RS7s aplenty, Audi offers no shortage of performance models in North America. But one of our favorites is always kept just out of arm's reach. That of course is the RS4 Avant, and here we see Audi Quattro GmbH testing the latest version. Though it may look like a plain old S4 – and even wear S4 badges – the wider fenders and bigger wheels suggest that this is in fact a prototype for the upcoming RS4 Avant. For those unfamiliar, that nameplate connotes the best of all worlds within the A4 range: maximum power, maximum traction, and maximum luggage space. All the ingredients, in short, to make us wonder why anyone would rather drive a crossover. After the first-gen RS4 employed a twin-turbo V6, the subsequent two generations went with a 4.2-liter V8. This model, however, could adopt an electric turbocharger setup to give it all the power it needs (and then some) with a new form of hybrid setup that will soon be spreading across the industry. The bigger question on our mind, of course, is whether the new performance wagon will make the transatlantic voyage to North American showrooms. We're holding out hope that Ingolstadt may make a real run down American roads at the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C63 and BMW M3. Whether it brings the wagon body-style along with it is another matter entirely, but we can always dream. Related Video:
