2015 Audi S4 3.0t Premium Plus on 2040-cars
Charlestown, New Hampshire, United States
For sale is a 2015 Audi S4 with Supercharged 3.0 V6 and 6 speed manual transmission with Sport Differential ,
Technology package with Google Earth navigation and Bang & Olufsen audio system. The interior is classy with fine
black Nappa leather with carbon fiber inlays - both extra options. The exterior is the Daytona Gray , which has
been reserved color for Audi S and RS models and was Audi exclusive color only before 2015 and 2016 . In 2014 this
color was a $3900 option. This great performance sedan will still look classy in many years to come and get more
and more unique as the 6 speed is disappearing, replaced by automatics. The traditional 60:40 rear/front all-wheel
drive system with Torsen center differential for which Quattro is so well known can change the ratio of torque
distributed to the front and rear wheels of the car, depending on the available traction. When the rear wheels
start to slip, more power is sent to the front wheels, and vice versa. This S4 is also equipped with the optional
for Audi's S and RS cars Audi Sport differential in the rear which uses torque vectoring to change the torque
distribution in the rear axle from side to side. In a corner, more power is sent to the outside rear wheel, to help
push the car around the corner. The Sport Differential eliminates understeer (the front end of the car pushing
wide), and helps rotate the car.

Audi Quattro tech shoots for the moon
Mon, Sep 28 2015Most automakers seem satisfied building vehicles to drive on the Earth's surface. But not Audi. The German automaker is quite literally shooting for the moon with the vehicle you see here. Called the Audi Lunar Quattro, it forms what promises to be an integral part of one team's campaign for the Google Lunar Xprize. That team calls itself Part-Time Scientists, and is the only German contingent of the 25 that originally entered from around the world and the 15 that are still in the race. Sponsored and technically assisted by Audi, the Lunar Quattro is a solar-powered moon rover. It packs an adjustable solar panel and a lithium-ion battery powering four individual hub motors – one in each wheel. It can only travel at a theoretical maximum of 2.2 miles per hour, but outright speed isn't the point here. It's been designed to traverse the difficult terrain of the moon's finely dusted and craggy surface. It'll need to travel at least 500 meters (1,640 feet) and will transmit high-definition video footage from the twin stereoscopic camera on its swiveling head back to Earth. The lunar rover is scheduled to be launched aboard a rocket from Earth to the moon by the end of 2017. The 240,000-mile trip will take five days and is targeted to land north of the moon's equator – close to the place where Apollo 17 (NASA's last manned lunar mission) landed back in 1972. Before that, though, it'll be presented by Audi sales chief Luca de Meo (who's since been named the head of Seat) at the Cannes Innovations Days forum. You can check it out in the gallery and extensive press release below, but first, we suggest you watch the video playlist above while preparing to check out tonight's red moon eclipse. The group of German engineers are working within the framework of the Google Lunar XPRIZE competition to transport an unmanned rover onto Earth's natural satellite. Audi is supporting the Part-Time Scientists with its know-how in several fields of technology – from quattro drive and lightweight construction to electric mobility and piloted driving. The moon rover will be named the "Audi lunar quattro." "The concept of a privately financed mission to the moon is fascinating," says Luca de Meo, Audi Board Member for Sales and Marketing. "And innovative ideas need supporters that promote them.

Audi RS6 Avant vs. Vauxhall VXR8 Supercharged in wagon battle
Fri, 28 Mar 2014The performance station wagon is the mature person's muscle car. As we get older, it's natural to add things like spouses, kids and dogs to our lives and each one necessitates a little more space. That doesn't mean we want to give up spirited driving though, and a quick five-door offers a great balance between needs and wants. In the latest video from Evo, we take a look at two, muscular European estates to see which is faster around a track.
Richard Meaden pits the Audi RS6 Avant and Vauxhall VXR8 Supercharged against each other; seeing that the cars go about utilizing their massive performance in very different ways. The RS6's all-wheel drive and luxury interior make it more of a scalpel around the track compared to the Vauxhall's rear-wheel drive hammer. Both offer the driver the chance to create some very smoky powerslides, though. Sadly, neither of these muscle wagons are available in North America, but scroll down to get a taste of them in the video.
