It is with great sadness that I post this ad for my baby. Life is taking me to the very car unfriendly town of New York City, where it would be a crime to keep this beautiful bird caged and unable to spread her 8 cylinder, 340 horsepower wings. Original owner with all service records. On 6/17, I took her in to the Audi dealer for a full service and inspection so she's good to go for her new owner. She's gorgeously stock and lovingly maintained. The only upgrade I've put on her are new shoes. She came with Pirelli P6's and now sports fairly new top-of-the-line PZero Nero All-Seasons that are awesome on dry pavement as well as in the snow, which she has seen very little of.
With the exception of the last year, she has spent most of her life in the consistently nice climate of Southern California and therefore doesn't have the rough weather wear and tear and underside salt damage that you'll find on many cars. She's dressed in my favorite, low-maintenance Audi Dolphin Gray, with Black all leather interior. I bought her fully loaded with premium Bose stereo package, GPS navigation, heated Recaro seats, blue tooth phone, moon roof, and super cool Carbon Fiber trim.
If you're considering an Audi S4, you're probably a driving enthusiast that will appreciate the dying breed of manual 6 speed transmission that my baby is outfitted with. This is very rare and was one of only two in all of California when I found her. I don't do traffic, so the 66k miles have been overwhelmingly highway driven. She should have many many years left and bring as much joy to a new loving home as she has brought me. Often, getting to drive this beauty home after work has been the highlight of my day. I literally find myself exclaiming out loud, "I love this car!" to the strange looks of people around me.
In the interest of full disclosure, she has a couple parking lot blemishes that any `07 would have, but definitely no accidents. The car is as sporty as it is practical. The back seats come down and reveal a massive cargo area. It's understated, and seems to do a good job remaining stealth to traffic enforcement. Please follow all local laws though. Pro tip: If you put one of the back seats down, that yummy growl from the tailpipes resonates really nicely into the cabin and massages your back just so. For the same money, I think you can get a Prius that would be far more economical, but I guarantee that it won't put the same smile on your face every day. It's a car for someone that truly loves to drive. You don't rationalize getting this car with your head, you buy it with your heart. Serious inquiries only, please.

Audi trademarks SQ2, SQ4, Q9 and F-Tron nameplates
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Audi is planning a whole raft of new models for the near future, and now we have further insight into what at least some of those models might be. The German automaker has reportedly filed trademarks for a series of model names, including SQ2, SQ4, Q9 and F-Tron.
Following in the footsteps of the SQ5 performance crossover, the SQ2 and SQ4 nameplates would seem to indicate that Audi is planning performance versions of its upcoming compact crossovers. The Q9 would suggest that a larger crossover is in the works to slot in above the already gargantuan Q7. And the F-Tron name could be used for a fuel-cell version of the A7 or other models, following a similar naming pattern to the e-tron range of electric vehicles.
Of course Audi could simply be filing these trademarks as a safeguard and may not actually build any of these models. But one way or another, it indicates a certain measure of intent exists as Ingolstadt gears up to expand its lineup with 11 new models in the next few years.
Audi spending an additional $2.5 billion on expansion through 2019
Thu, Jan 1 2015Every year, it seems the Volkswagen Group announces a new and larger spend to push growth and profit, with Audi a regular recipient of the moolah. That's reasonable, seeing as hauls in 40 percent of Group operating profits. In December last year Audi said it would spend an additional 100 million euros ($122M US) per year through 2018 to develop new models and expand production, targeting 60 models by 2020 and luxury sales leadership. This month Audi said it will boost that by another two billion euros ($2.5B US) over the next five years, for a total outlay of 24 billion euros from 2014 to 2019. Something like 70 percent of those billions will be spent on new models, technology like "connectivity and lightweight construction," and factory expansion at its plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. Most of the ten models that will plump the lineup to 60 cars will mainly be aimed at the C and D segments, as well as crossovers, the brand's burgeoning portfolio of PHEV models, and all-electric cars that will begin staking ground in the segment. The big spend comes at the same time as Audi is working hard to reduce costs by $2.5 billion to maintain profitability, part of a larger push by VW to cut costs by $6.1 billion by 2017. More than a billion euros will go to new factories in Mexico and Brazil. Work begins on the Mexico plant next year, and when it comes on-line in 2016, Audi's Q5 successor will roll out of its warehouse doors; Audi has already announced it will hire 850 more workers next year in Mexico. When that's done, Mexico's production of German luxury cars will only trail that of Germany, China and the US. The company's Brazil plant will produce the A3 and S3 starting next year, and the brand figures luxury car buying there will triple by 2017. Munich prosecutors arrest Audi employee in emissions probe
Fri, Jul 7 2017Munich prosecutors arrested an Audi employee on suspicion of fraud and false advertising in connection with the carmaker's emissions scandal, the first arrest in Germany related to Volkswagen's diesel scandal. The Audi employee was arrested on Monday, at the behest of Munich prosecutors, a spokeswoman for the Munich prosecutors office said on Friday. When asked if the arrest was at the request of US authorities, the spokeswoman said it was not. She did not give the name of the person. Munich prosecutors declined to comment on whether the arrested person is a current or former Audi employee. Audi and parent Volkswagen both declined to comment. On Thursday, the US Justice Department said it charged former manager Giovanni Pamio with directing Audi employees to design software to cheat US emissions tests in thousands of Audi diesel cars. Audi is a division of Volkswagen Group. The Munich prosecutor's office said the Audi employee was brought before a judge on Tuesday and was now being held in custody. The spokeswoman declined to discuss the possibility of the detained person being extradited to another country or comment on whether Munich prosecutors were in touch with US authorities. The German arrest was part of a wider probe into fraud and false advertising and is a consequence of "findings following searches," the spokeswoman said. In March, Munich prosecutors searched the offices of Jones Day, the lawfirm Volkswagen had hired to lead an internal investigation into its emissions scandal and Audi's headquarters. Volkswagen condemned the searches at the time, and never published the full findings of its internal investigation which was being conducted by Jones Day. The raids by Munich prosecutors in March sought to shed light on who was involved in the designing and using illicit software used in 80,000 VW, Audi and Porsche cars with bigger 3.0-liter engines. No members of the Audi management board are being personally investigated as part of that probe, the spokeswoman said on Friday. In the criminal complaint released by US authorities on Thursday, US prosecutors charged that Pamio ignored or suppressed warnings by certain Audi engineers that the pollution control systems being used on the brand's diesel engines violated US clean air rules. US prosecutors said Pamio had ordered subordinates to send false information to American regulators stating that Audi's "clean diesels" did not use technology designed to cheat federal pollution tests.
