If you are looking for a true low mileage, unmolested original Audi S4, 2.7L twin turbo, with 5 spd. Auto/manual transmission with electronic shifters, and all available options, you have found it. Best color combination: Silver Ext. over black leather interior. Mileage certified at 85,700 miles. This car appears to have had two prior owners. Driven 25,000 miles in last nine years, and was purchased and driven home running perfectly. This car has been maintained and runs very strong. The engine, transmission and drive train are in excellent condition, as the car was obviously well cared for. The exterior I would rate at a 9/10 as I would the interior. Car has been detailed, and anything needing repair has been done with the following replaced: alternator, brakes (pads and rotors in back, pads in front, cam oil plugs, extra key, front spoiler (not yet attached), rear deck lid (sent wrong one being replaced), front right drivers light, Xenon lights, low beams and drivers lights replaced, stock wheels reconditioned, with red rims liners, red interior lights, and red Audi decals (See photos). Bumpers were repainted to make perfect. This model was ordered with all available options including Bose Stereo, Navigation, Leather, Telephone hookup, six CD deck player, cassette deck, single CD player in dash, full instrument panel and all standard and other equipment listed below.  Ice cold A/C, No engine codes, all electrics and power options work well, engine is box stock original as is the rest of the car. This is one of the cleanest S4's you will find, completely original and unmolested. This car was owned primarily by two buyers in the last nine years, one woman located in Northern California since 2006 and has been very well cared for.

No matter where you look you will find that consumer ratings are in the high 4's (4.5 to 5.0) out of a possible 5 for all aspects of this year and model car. It comes with power features that include power one touch capability on all four windows, power and heated mirrors, heated seats, power door locks with Remote keyless entry, heated seats, power multi-directional seat positioning for both front seats, Split folding rear seat backs; 4-wheels ABS, Stability Control, Traction control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Speed-proportional power steering, Tilt and Telescopic Steering wheel, Remote Anti-theft Alarm system, Xenon High Intensity Discharge Headlamps, Front Fog/Driving Lights, Front and Rear Head Airbags, Dual Side Mounted Airbags, Child Seat Anchors, Front and rear Ventilated Disc Brakes, Wipers Headlamps, Rear Center Lap Belt, Clock, Tachometer, outside temperature display, Trip Computer, Cruise Control, Remote Truck Release, Trunk Cargo Net, Front Seat back Storage, Center Console Storage, Interior Air Filtration, trunk light, Wood Trim on Dash and Doors, Front and rear reading lights, Climate Control, Leather Trim Center Console, Extended Leather on doors, Leather steering wheel, Dual illuminating Mirrors, Variable intermittent wipers, rear defogger, and locking front and rear floor mats.  The Bose system has eight speakers, 80 watt stereo output, and am/fm receiver, and an additional Sirius Satellite Stereo.  This is truly one of the finer examples of a 2001 S4 Audi which has never been abused and has been constantly kept in excellent condition as can be seen from its appearance in the photos. This car will not disappoint and will make any buyer proud to be its owner. These cars are detuned for the U.S. market and can be doubled in h.p. & torque from 250/257 to close to twice this amount with only external parts.

A luxury crossover for people who like to drive | 2018 Audi Q5 First Drive

Fri, Oct 7 2016

1.6 million. That's how many Q5s Audi has sold since the model's 2008 debut, making the agreeable but stylistically neutral sport-ute the best-selling premium SUV on the planet. One in four Audis sold is a Q5, which is a big part of why the German carmaker made significant improvements intended to ensure the 2018 Audi Q5 is another success story. For starters, the Q5 has swollen in size. Not by much – we're talking 1.3 inches in length, half an inch in wheelbase, and incrementally more height – but enough to boost rear legroom by 0.39 inch and add 0.31 inch to rear headroom. If you're worried that curb weight has bloated in direct proportion to the larger footprint, fear not: The 2018 model is actually up to 198 pounds lighter than the model it replaces, thanks to a carefully modulated blend of high tensile steels and aluminum in the chassis, and incremental weight savings throughout. Two turbocharged engines are available: the Q5's 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque (doing the 0-to-62-mph sprint in 6.4 seconds), and the SQ5's 3.0-liter TFSI mill that turns 354 hp and 369 lb-ft (capable of whisking it to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds). The 2.0-liter meets a new seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission, while the beefier 3.0-liter gets a conventional eight-speed torque-converter-equipped gearbox to handle the higher torque. Audi's new Quattro ultra setup (already seen in the A4 and Q7) offers fully variable torque distribution that helps achieve 20/27 mpg with the 2.0-liter and 18/26 mpg for the 3.0-liter. The system can de-couple the rear axle via an electronic clutch, which improves fuel economy; with 100 percent of torque directed to the front wheels during straight-line driving, the parasitic losses of running power needlessly through the rear differential are avoided, while a second clutch controls front/rear torque distribution. Audi says the ultra setup works proactively, not reactively, using torque vectoring to distribute power and anticipating changes in vehicle dynamics 500 milliseconds before the torque is redistributed. While there are numerous tech updates under the skin, the body itself is very familiar. In person, the Q5's looks are tweaked ever-so-slightly thanks primarily to a curvier, crisper character line that is so sharp, it casts its own shadow under certain lighting conditions. Inside, a Q7-like upgrade gives the cabin a more sophisticated feel.

Audi CEO announces new electrified car each year starting in 2018

Thu, May 12 2016

Audi is preparing an aggressive (and possibly desperate) plan to electrify its lineup following the disastrous diesel emissions scandal. CEO Rupert Stadler announced the plan during the company's Annual General Meeting in Ingolstadt. "Starting in 2018, we will launch another electrified car each year," Stadler said. This is easily the most dramatic statement we've heard about electrification since Audi of America President Scott Keogh told Autoblog that one out of every four Audi models will have some kind of plug-in capacity by 2025. This new push for electrics will kick off with Audi's long-awaited all-electric CUV. We've already known about this guy for a while – according to our conversation with Keogh, it will be based on the E-Tron Quattro Concept first shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. And earlier this year, Audi even went as far as confirming its Brussels, Belgium factory will screw together the new EV. Speaking of those batteries, Audi expects them to match the 310-mile range promised by the E-Tron Quattro. What we're really eager to see, of course, is what Audi has planned after 2018. Will we get an all-electric A4 to battle the Tesla Model 3? An A7 E-Tron to challenge the Model S? Or will Audi go with a segment Tesla hasn't exploited yet? Expect a few years before we get answers to those questions. Beyond the EV announcement, Stadler also confirmed the next-generation Audi A8 will debut in 2017. The new luxury sedan will be capable of driving itself at speeds up to 37 miles per hour, fitting with previous reports. From there, Stadler expects to "see fully automated driving" by 2025. Audi TT Sportback Concept rounds out an icon

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

That German automakers seem singularly fixated on filling any white space between their models isn't new - the last decade-plus has seen their showrooms overflowing with niche models, some of which seemingly occupy sub-genres of sub-genres. To our eyes, there's often diminishing aesthetic and utilitarian returns to go along with the heightened price tags that accompany these models, but we're beginning to think Audi is tackling its personal diversity initiative best. Unlike the often heavy-handed designs from rivals (we're looking at you, BMW), Ingolstadt seems to be doing doing a more graceful job of carving out models between models. The latest proof of this is the TT Sportback Concept, just unveiled here at the Paris Motor Show.
After showing off its Allroad Shooting Brake Concept in Detroit and, more recently, in the Offroad Concept in Beijing amidst rumors of the TT sports car platform expanding into an entire family, we're not surprised to see this more utilitarian five-door hatchback showcar here in France. This, despite the fact that Audi already counts similarly proportioned A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback models in its lineup.
Of the TT line extension concepts, this Sportback certainly looks the most production ready, with a bare minimum of showcar tinsel masking realistic proportions and detailing. We think it's quite handsome from stem to stern, even if it's a bit familiar looking. The design incorporates Audi's trademark big-grille look with the TT's prominent arched roofline and heavily radiused fenders, along with a rear lighting graphic that subtly echoes the A3. Despite its leggy looks, the TT Sportback Concept is surprisingly compact, spanning less than a foot longer overall than the production 2016 TT despite its 4.7-inch longer wheelbase and extra set of doors. Those sleek looks come at least partially as the result of an overall height that sits 1.2 inches lower than the TT coupe.
