2003 Audi RS
Ultra hard-to-find and beautiful, finished in stunning Brilliant Red

The truth is, Audi makes some of the most rediculous family hotrods in the world, from twin turbo station wagons to 520 horsepower executive transporters. Unfortunately, until recently, the US seldom had the opportunity to experience these people-moving monsters, aside from catching the giggle-inducing episodes of the UK's Top Gear. There was, however, a ray of hope that broke through in 2003, when Audi brought state-side the RS6, a family sedan turned supercar, claiming the title of "Fastest Audi Ever" available at the time in the US. This world-beater boasted revised suspension and looks, not to mention a 450-horsepower twin turbocharged V8! Unfortunately, Audi only offered 860 of these cars to the public, making it incredible to own but ultra-hard to find.

History: As you may know, there's more to owning a 2003 RS6 than simply grabbing the keys and going. Maintaining the car properly is vital, and keeping records is essential for value to be retained when passing the car on to the next owner. The good news is, this Audi was serviced and maintained just as it should be, by the local owners over the correct intervals. We have several pages of service history with this RS6, including record of the 75k service done at the local Audi dealership (timing belt, waterpump, belts, fluids, etc). Also, the annual service was done after that here at our dealership, where we also replaced the front cv joints and the front brake pads and rotors. The Continental tires have most of their life remaining too, and were replaced within the past 10k miles. This is a fully serviced, ready to go machine with all of the history and upkeep done, ready for it's new owner.
Condition: This RS6 is in beautiful condition, as you can tell by the pictures below. From front to back, there is no damage or imperfections on the car aside from only light wear noticable upon scrutinizing inspection. The only issue physically on the exterior that I would point out is that a couple of the wheels have some of the clear coat starting to peel (certainly repairable). Inside, the interior shows much better than nearly any other car with the same age and miles. The leather is excellent, there is no funny odors or issues, and the full carbon fiber trim is still in excellent condition. The only issue worth noting is the armrest lid hinges are broken, so the lid lifts off and on but does not swing open and closed (unfortunately common to Audis). Overall, top to bottom, this may not be a 10 out of 10 (as no used car is), but it's a solid 8.5-9 out of 10 for sure. The previous owner also upgraded this RS6 with KW fully adjustable coilovers ($2700) and front and rear Hotchkis Sway bars, giving it a more desirable stance and more aggressive handling characteristics. If you have any other questions about this Audi, please give me a call!

Trump calls Germans 'very bad,' vows to stop their car sales in US

Fri, May 26 2017

TAORMINA, Italy -Talks between President Trump and other leaders of the world's rich nations at the G7 summit on Friday were expected to be "robust" and "challenging" after he had lambasted NATO allies and condemned Germans as "very bad" for their trade policies. Trump's confrontational remarks in Brussels, on the eve of the two-day summit in the Mediterranean resort town of Taormina, cast a pall over a meeting at which America's partners had hoped to coax him into softening his stances on trade and climate change. According to German media reports, Trump condemned Germany as "very bad" for its trade policies in a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, signaling he might take steps to limit sales of German cars in the United States. "The Germans are bad, very bad," he reportedly told Juncker. "Look at the millions of cars that they're selling in the USA. Horrible. We're gonna stop that." White House economic adviser Gary Cohn on Friday confirmed the reports. "He said they're very bad on trade, but he doesn't have a problem with Germany." Cohn said Trump had pointed out during the meeting that his father had German roots in order to underscore the message that he had nothing against the German people. Trump's spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump had "tremendous respect" for Germany and had only complained about unfair trade practices in the meeting. Juncker called the reports in Spiegel Online and Sueddeutsche Zeitung exaggerated. The reports translated "bad" with the German word "boese," which can also mean "evil," leading to confusion when English-language media translated the German reports back into English. "The record has to be set straight," Juncker said, noting that the translation issue had exaggerated the seriousness of what Trump had said. "It's not true that the president took an aggressive approach when it came to the German trade surplus." "He said, like others have, that (the United States) has a problem with the German surplus. So he was not aggressive at all," Juncker added. In January, Trump threatened to slap a 35 percent tax on German auto imports. "If you want to build cars in the world, then I wish you all the best. You can build cars for the United States, but for every car that comes to the USA, you will pay 35 percent tax," he said. "I would tell BMW that if you are building a factory in Mexico and plan to sell cars to the USA, without a 35 percent tax, then you can forget that." Last year, the U.S.

Detroit Auto Show prankster 'damages' hundreds of thousands of dollars of cars

Thu, Jan 29 2015

Obtaining credentials for an auto show is generally a pretty selective process, especially at one of the world's premier shows, like Geneva, Los Angeles or Detroit. That didn't stop online prankster Dennis Roady from getting credentialed for the 2015 North American International Auto Show on behalf of a Russian YouTube channel to cover the show. While he wasn't brought on strictly to cause mischief, Roady couldn't help but have some fun at the expense of the product specialists during the serious business of covering the show. He took to an app called "Dude, Your Car," which allows Apple iPhone users to take snaps of vehicles and then edit them to add some serious, but fake, dents and scratches. Naturally, the pranking session was caught on video, where you can enjoy the sight of poor product specialists freaking out over damage to vehicles ranging from the Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the Audi R8 and a lovely Dodge Challenger. Take a look. News Source: howtoPRANKitup via YouTube, The Detroit News Humor Detroit Auto Show Audi Dodge Mercedes-Benz Coupe Luxury Performance Videos Sedan 2015 Detroit Auto Show prank

Audi CEO announces new electrified car each year starting in 2018

Thu, May 12 2016

Audi is preparing an aggressive (and possibly desperate) plan to electrify its lineup following the disastrous diesel emissions scandal. CEO Rupert Stadler announced the plan during the company's Annual General Meeting in Ingolstadt. "Starting in 2018, we will launch another electrified car each year," Stadler said. This is easily the most dramatic statement we've heard about electrification since Audi of America President Scott Keogh told Autoblog that one out of every four Audi models will have some kind of plug-in capacity by 2025. This new push for electrics will kick off with Audi's long-awaited all-electric CUV. We've already known about this guy for a while – according to our conversation with Keogh, it will be based on the E-Tron Quattro Concept first shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. And earlier this year, Audi even went as far as confirming its Brussels, Belgium factory will screw together the new EV. Speaking of those batteries, Audi expects them to match the 310-mile range promised by the E-Tron Quattro. What we're really eager to see, of course, is what Audi has planned after 2018. Will we get an all-electric A4 to battle the Tesla Model 3? An A7 E-Tron to challenge the Model S? Or will Audi go with a segment Tesla hasn't exploited yet? Expect a few years before we get answers to those questions. Beyond the EV announcement, Stadler also confirmed the next-generation Audi A8 will debut in 2017. The new luxury sedan will be capable of driving itself at speeds up to 37 miles per hour, fitting with previous reports. From there, Stadler expects to "see fully automated driving" by 2025.
