2011 AUDI Q5 2.0T

This auction is for a 2011 Audi Q5 2.0T.  I have listed it for a close friend of mine as he is "not the eBay kind of guy" but realizes the eBay market is the best way for a vehicle of this caliber.  I personally have bought several vehicles through eBay and even sold a few with no difficulties.  It is a two owner vehicle with 17,864 miles (may change slightly as it is being driven) and has been adult owned, operated and maintained throughout its life.  In fact, the first owner was the wife of the owner of the local Audi dealership.  It was leased to her from his dealership.  It was professionally serviced, inspected annually and cleaned by the Audi technicians.  Additionally, it was garage kept during her ownership.  The second owner acquired the vehicle from her a few months ago.  Again, being garage kept and properly serviced and maintained through Audi.  The second owner has decided to replace this vehicle with a BMW convertible.  A vehicle that he has desired for several months but couldn't find the right one (black/black/low miles/perfect) until now.  It is an absolute flawless vehicle and I will describe it as accurately as I can.  That said, please do not hesitate to ask any questions at all.  I have attached many pictures within the listing but also have many more on file.  If there is something you want more detail on picturewise, please ask, I will forward if I have or take if I don't.  The opening bid is set low so that everyone has a chance to bid what they believe is fair and the reserve is set at a more than reasonable limit.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of the vehicle is exceptional.  No dings, dents, scratches, scuffs, marks or blemishes are are found on the vehicle.  The paint is clear, original and as crisp and glossy as it was the day it was sold.  There has been no paint work whatsoever.  No accidents or other damage to the body.  The glass is all original, intact and without blemishes.  The wheels are perfect with no rash at all.  The tires are in excellent condition with approximately 70% tread life remaining.

INTERIOR

The gray leather interior is flawless and as supple as it was when purchased.  There are no stains, rips, spills or other notable imperfections to note.  Rubberized floor mats (front/rear/cargo) have been installed and are included with the sale.  All controls are operable and work as they should.

ENGINE/TRANSMISSION

The engine is in top running condition having been properly dealer serviced at the regular service intervals as prescribed by Audi.  The automatic transmission is flawless and shifts as it should.  With only 17K miles the vehicle is nearly new and operates as such.

WARRANTY

The remainder of the factory warranty is intact and is transferrable.  Instead of going into the particulars of the warranty I would direct you to the Audi factory site for information.

PAYMENT/DELIVERY

Payment is due within three days of auction close.  Delivery is entirely up to the buyer.  We will hold the vehicle for a short time but payment must be made as well as arrangements for delivery.  Please call with any questions or concerns about payment and or delivery.  We are very flexible and accomodating but must be contacted with your specific arrangements before the close of  the auction.

I have tried to describe every aspect of the vehicle.  It makes it hard to do when the car is so clean with low miles such as this one is.  It is exactly as you would expect a vehicle to be with this mileage.  We offer the the following as well - IF YOU ARE THE WINNING BIDDER AND THE CAR IS NOT AS DESCRIBED WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO TAKE DELIVERY -- YOU DON'T OWN IT, WALK AWAY, NO COST WHATSOEVER.  I feel that confident in this vehicle and this listing.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions.  John 304-444-6907.

Audi calls R18 E-Tron Quattro its 'most complex race car'

Wed, May 14 2014

Technically speaking, Audi's R18 E-Tron Quattro is quite technical. The German automaker says the diesel-hybrid is the "most complex race car" it's ever created. And we'll take their word for it. The Audi, which pairs a V6 turbodiesel powering the rear wheels with two electric motors, is all about connectivity, giving the car's crew the opportunity to constantly monitor the vehicle while it's racing. The car sends in a host of data each lap to the crew's computers, and the vehicle's telemetry system constantly keeps tabs on things like hybrid energy levels, cockpit temperature and boost-pressure levels. In all, the amount of data parameters is more than 100 times greater than in 1989, when Audi first tested a race car equipped with automatic data transmission capabilities. Audi first released specs on the updated version of the R18 E-Tron Quattro late last year, trumpeting the vehicle's advantages in competing in the LMP1 class of the 2014 World Endurance Championship (WEC). Audi made the car a little narrower and a little taller and it complies with a new WEC regulation requiring the front end set off by a new wing. Take a look at Audi's most recent press release below. AUDI R18 E-TRON QUATTRO WITH COMPLEX ELECTRONIC ARCHITECTURE • Telemetry connection between race car and pit lane • Permanent acquisition of far more than 1,000 parameters • Various electronic control units interlinked by a multitude of CAN Bus systems Ingolstadt, May 5, 2014 – The Audi R18 e-tron quattro is the most complex race car created in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm to date. This not only applies to the mechanics. The electronics of the most recent LMP1 race car with the four rings is more sophisticated than ever before. The age of electronic data transmission from the race car on track began for Audi in 1989. At that time, an Audi 90 quattro in the IMSA GTO series radioed eight parameters to the garage where engine speeds and a few pressures and temperatures were plotted on printouts – a tiny step from today's perspective, but one that provided important insights at the time. Today, an Audi R18 e-tron quattro on more than a thousand channels, in cycles that in some cases only amount to milliseconds, generates data of crucial importance to a staff of engineers at Audi Sport. At Le Mans, the engineers constantly monitor their race cars for 24 hours.

Refreshed Audi A6 gets ready for Paris debut

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Audi A6 remains a solidly luxurious choice in the deeply competitive executive sedan segment, duking it out with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Lexus GS, among others. Having been on sale since 2011, though, it's starting to become just a tiny bit stale. Cue the refresh.
Expected to make its debut in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the long-roof Avant/Allroad variant shown here gives us our first glimpse at some of the tweaks Audi has in store for its A6 range as a whole.
In general, this is pretty standard refresh stuff - new headlights that retain the same general shape as the current car but add a new DRL pattern, while there are also some subtle tweaks to the front fascia. The rear taillights have also been freshened (although as only the A6 sedan is sold in the US, it's likely the taillights we see will be different), and some minor changes have been made to the rear bumper. According to our spies, the cabin and MMI infotainment system could see some tweaks, while the oily bits under the hood could be in for for some minor changes as well.

Next-gen Audi A4 spotted

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

With fresh entries from Lexus and Mercedes-Benz and a newer entry from BMW, Audi is in a rather precarious position with its A4 sedan, which has been on sale in its current form since 2008 (aside from its 2012 mid-cycle refresh). It's high time a new vehicle takes its place.
If Audi follows convention, the vehicle shown above will be known internally as the B9, and will ride atop the so-called MLB Evo, a new version of the modular platform underpinning the current A4 (and a whole heap of other Volkswagen Group products). That new bit of hardware should bless the next-gen A4 with a weight savings of anywhere from 175 to 220 pounds.
In terms of its looks, our spies point to a more evolutionary approach. Expect the A4 to borrow from the design being pioneered by the third-generation Audi TT, particularly around the grille, which should be more upright. The wheelbase should get a stretch while Audi will clip the overhangs of its midsizer, relative to the current sedan.
