Garaged Fun car! Clean title in hand. I am the third owner, 1st was a corporate lease, then snowbirds and then I got it almost three years ago at 35,000 miles. The car does not have a warranty, however it is up-to-date with all services and this car has ONLY been serviced for major services at the local Audi dealership. They have all the service records from 2004. Since I have had the car, I have done all the scheduled and preventative services, the tires, brakes and driver's side airbag have been replaced in the last year and a half. The airbag WAS NOT deployed, but the car is 9 years old and had to be replaced (this was done 2 months ago at Audi). NO PROBLEMS mechanically with the car, has never been in accident. However, there are some minor cosmetic issues with the car. It was hit with a golf ball in the passenger front quarter panel, and there are some minor scrapes and dings around the car - not really noticeable because of the color. The interior has its share of bruises as well, including some scratches and the sticker is peeling on the driver's door lock button, headlight button and convertible button. The glove box is broken on right but still attached, the arm rest top closure is detached but still looks intact (I don't even open it since there is another cup holder in the dash), and the rear ash tray cover is loose (see pictures of interior flaws). Driver's side leather is cracked on side. Carpeting has some spots on it - will have the car shampooed & detailed before you get it! That all being said, the car IS 9 years old. It still runs great and looks good, and the best part is there is no reserve. Oil change was done last week. This is my personal car, so I am still driving it. Let's assume it will have 200-300 more miles on it by the time you pick it up. Please use the cruise control or you will drive too fast in this car! Please e-mail any questions. Comes with both sets of keys, manual & convertible draft shield for back seat. AS IS - FINAL SALE. Will take more pics if requested, raining today - didn't want to get the car wet. Takes premium gas only! My AUDI reserve price is BELOW the Kelley Blue Book Value!!! Good luck.

1984 Audi Sport Quattro expected to hammer at nearly half a million dollars
Tue, Dec 23 2014The highest prices paid at automobile auctions continue to be claimed by European sports cars, with names like Ferrari and Bugatti forever topping the lists. But what we have here is not quite a sports car. It's more of a hot hatch, but its still expected to fetch between $350,000 and $475,000 when it goes up for auction next month in Arizona. That's because this is no ordinary hot hatch... it's the prototypical hot hatch: the legendary Audi Sport Quattro, one of the most maniacal and dominant homologated rally machines ever devised. Shorter in wheelbase and dartier of handling than the Ur-Quattro that came before it, the later Sport Quattro was built to comply to with the FIA's legendary Group B regulations. That meant that it competed with the likes of the Lancia 037, Ford RS200 and Ferrari 288 GTO – beating them all in the World Rally Championship one after another – but also had to be built in limited quantities and sold to the public. And so Audi and its nascent Quattro GmbH skunkworks division built 214 road-going examples of the Sport Quattro, and this could very well be the most immaculate example in existence. It was previously owned by noted collector Yoshikuni Okamoto of Kobe, Japan, and with barely more than 5,000 miles on the odometer, recently underwent an exhaustive service at Audi of Fairfield, CT – one of the company's largest dealerships – and though the Sport Quattro was never offered for sale in the US, this one is now fully registered for use on American roads and comes in impeccable condition despite its 30 years of age. The gavel drops during the RM Auctions event at the Arizona Biltmore on January 15-16, 2015. Even the low end of the pre-auction estimate is nearly double the $184,860 which Sports Car Market reports Bonhams sold an '85 Audi Sport Quattro in September 2013. 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Pack squares off against Audi R8 V10 Plus
Wed, 22 May 2013The team over at Motor Trend has pitted the new Audi R8 V10 Plus against the Nissan GT-R. While both of the bright red all-wheel-drive supercars are comparably matched in power output, the similarities end there. Audi offers a mid-engine aluminum coupe with a naturally aspirated V10 that spits out 550 horsepower. Nissan shows up with a more traditional coupe equipped with a 545-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 at the front of the car.
The Head-to-Head video takes both cars to the Streets of Willow Springs in the California desert for some track work with professional racing driver Randy Pobst behind the wheel. After a day at the track, the pair head to the local mountains for some spirited real-world driving. One dominates on the circuit, while the other earns back its credibility in the canyons. We won't tell you which coupe comes out on top, but we think you may be surprised. Follow the link below to watch for yourself.
Automakers need to stop stalking celebrities
Fri, Jan 24 2014Since the invention of the automobile, cars and stars have gone together like paparazzi and the Kardashians. During this season of starlet-adorned award ceremonies, from the Golden Globes through to the Oscars, you will find a lot of car companies all vying to loan out their vehicles to any celebrity with a recognizable face who happens to be heading to a red-carpet award ceremony. There is, however, none so coordinated, consistent and aggressively playing the Fame Game as our friends at Audi. Since the invention of the automobile, cars and stars have gone together like paparazzi and the Kardashians, so by association getting a celeb behind the wheel of your car brand gives it an instant image boost that must make the car more attractive to buyers. Celebrity tales equals dealership sales. That's the logic, anyway. But surely the millions of dollars spent giving free cars to rich stars is a waste of precious and increasingly smaller marketing budgets. It's time to make the car the star, not the other way around. Lets be clear, we are not talking about the very obvious dropping of famous faces into big budget ads. That has its place in the marketing toolbox, but in a very media savvy world it's clear most of us get that play-for-pay concept. Today, the use of just a famous name in an ad yields very little influence on whether you or I will buy that car. No, this awards-ceremony loaner deal is a subtler, but higher risk, idea that if you see a "star" with "their" car in "real life" then surely that adds to the car's appeal. We, the audience, are expected to start salivating like Pavlovian puppies in our desire to have same car in our own, less red-carpeted driveway. Geoff Day has been called the "Pied Piper" of the auto industry, leading auto journalists on wild rides around the globe in his position as former director of communications for Mercedes-Benz USA. Before that, he worked at DaimlerChrysler UK on its PR efforts, and rubbed elbows with the Queen of England in his role at the Buckingham Palace Press Office. His phone is filled with the numbers of the great, the good and the bad. His head is filled with dirty little secrets hiding in many corners of the auto industry. There is no doubt that the publicity that comes with a well placed story, picture or feature can help raise awareness of a product – Oprah proved that with her "Favorite things" – especially if you are launching a line of wrinkle cream or juice bars.
