I'm selling my '99 Audi A4. The price is $6550, negotiable.

It's a great car in very good condition! Looks great, runs excellent, amazing handling, fun to drive, smooth and comfortable ride. I love this car and have taken VERY good care of it over the years. You can see all the aftermarket upgrades on the car but what you can't see are all the things I have upgraded, replaced and repaired the second there were any issues with anything. The car has never been in any type of accident and I'm only the second owner. These are very reliable car and with all the upgrades/repairs I've done this car will last well over 200K. Everyone asks why I'm selling the car and my answer is I would not sell it if I didn't have to. The reason I have to sell it is because we will be moving to New York City soon and parking is extremely expensive in Manhattan so we have to only keep one car and since my wife does not know how to drive stick shift I have to sell my car and keep her car that has automatic transmission. If I could afford two parking spots I would keep the car without a doubt, but it's way too expensive.

I have taken VERY GOOD care of it throughout the years:
- Timing belt changed at 120K
- All four rotors changed recently
- All break pads changed recently
- All wheel bearings have been changed recently (at 140K)
- The coil pack was changed at 125K (these last over 100K)
- All spark plugs were changed with the coil pack
- All ignition wires were changed with the coil pack
- Engine and cabin air filters changed recently (and on regular basis)
- Oil changes every 3000 miles (Bosch oil filter and Mobil1 10W-40 oil)
- The vacuum motor thing in the trunk that controls the door locks changed recently (this is a common problem for these specific Audi A4s and I've taken care of it)
- The fuel gauge in the gas tank changed recently (this is also a common problem with these specific Audi's and now you don't have to worry about it ever again)
- All kinds of routine maintenance and tuning up performed constantly!

Like I have already mentioned and as you can see from pictures the car is in overall very good condition. Of course there are minor chips and scratches here and there as is expected from a used car but nothing major whatsoever.

I'm asking $6650 for it, which is a fair price given all that has been done to it - the KBB value is about 4.5-5K, just the rims and the low-profile tires were about $1200, the headlights were about $500, the taillights were $300, parts and installation for both HID conversion kit with 6000K HID Xenon ligh bulbs for both headlights and foglights was another $500, etc. and I've spent at least 3K replacing many parts with brand new ones and tuning up the car all around). I have already lowered the price a lot but its still negotiable to an extent. If you appreciate the looks, the powerful engine, the luxurious interior, the amazing drive/ride this car offers and how well it has been maintained then contact me. If you are not seriously interested then don't waste your or my time.

VW Group plan puts Porsche in charge of a 'super-premium' division

Tue, Sep 11 2018

An Automobile report looks into what's happening on the organizational and technical sides of the Volkswagen Group, and what those changes could mean for the premium brands. The wide-angle view is that Porsche appears to have been anointed to "coordinate the future activities" at Audi, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini. Audi would cede Lamborghini guardianship to Stuttgart, and Ducati — via a new concern called Ducati Enterprises — would become the shepherd for VW's other Italian investments. Executives target Jan. 1, 2019, to complete the reshuffle. VW wants to save a boodle by tying up four of its five top-tier brands, and putting the one with the highest ROI in charge. Porsche, within its own house, wants to reduce expenditures by $2.3 billion per year over for four years, the savings already earmarked for improving internal processes like R&D and production. Having Porsche share those gains as well as lead development of platforms, components and future-tech strategies for the sister sports car brands could benefit everyone. In the near-term, the brands have their own plans: Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann is said to want a Chiron Superleggera, a roofless and "completely reskinned" Chiron Aperta, and a track-only Chiron SS. The Superleggera could take the Chiron Sport's and Divo's Jenny Craig routines even further. The Aperta seems a natural successor to the Veyron Grand Sport, a natural evolution of the recently introduced Sky View roof, and a reskin might include numerous Divo cues. It's also said Bugatti's considering "an all-electric high-end model" in conjunction with Porsche, Rimac, and Dallara, but name one supercar or hypercar manufacturer that isn't considering a lightning-fast EV. Lamborghini, deep into work on follow-ups for the Huracan and Aventador, might get a bit of a bump with the new plan. The carbon "monofuselage" for the next V12 flagship is said to be too far developed and too complex to scrap. It puts two electric motors on the front axle, batteries in the middle, and a naturally aspirated V12 with around 770 horsepower plus another e-motor with 402 horsepower in back. The Huracan is said to get a version of the same carbon architecture at the moment, but the corporate reorganization might press pause on it. Automobile says options include continuing the Huracan/ Audi R8 twinning, but that depends on Audi saying "Ja" to a third-gen R8 with Lamborghini bones.

Audi R8 V10 Plus vs. Renault Clio Cup racecar will make you go hmmm...

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Match up a hot hatch with a supercar of the same vintage, and we'll tell you who will win every time. It's easy, really, as the supercar invariably features a more advanced suspension, stickier tires and most importantly, more power. What if the hot hatch is race prepped, though?
In that particular case, all bets are off. A circuit-tuned suspension, a stripped-down cabin, an ultra-quick sequential transmission and the greatest equalizer of them all, slick tires, are all that's needed to turn the typical hot hatch into a proper dragon slayer.
Perhaps seeking to prove this, Evo has put together an interesting head-to-head between the Audi R8 V10 and a race-prepared Renault Clio Cup. Host Dickie Meaden takes us through each car, highlighting the bits and bobs on both sides which should make this a tight competition. And boy, is this one tight.

2016 Audi RS7 Performance is an LA beauty in blue

Fri, Nov 20 2015

The whole point of the new 2016 Audi RS7 Performance is directly in its name, and the Four Rings now claims 605 horsepower from its 4.0-liter twin turbo V8. For those keeping track of big-brother bragging rights, Audi claims 560 hp from the standard RS7. Plus, the engine's torque can jump from 516 pound-feet to 553 lb-ft during the temporary overboost function. An eight-speed automatic gearbox still sends power to the front and rear through the Quattro all-wheel drive system. The results of all these upgrades are a sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. The RS7 Performance is about more than just power; Audi also fits carbon ceramic brakes and an RS Sport Suspension with Dynamic Ride Control. The exterior also sees some minor tweaks that include a restyled rear diffuser, new 21-inch wheels, black tailpipes, and a gloss black grille. RS sport seats come standard inside. The RS7 Performance arrives at Audi dealers in December and prices start at $129,925 (after $925 for destination). Get a good look at this very quick, fastback sedan in the gallery above. The Audi RS 6 Avant performance* and Audi RS 7 Sportback performance* further hone the brand's sporty profile. Their 4.0 TFSI engine with 445 kW (605 hp) and up to 750 Nm (553.2 lb ft) of torque push acceleration (3.7 seconds) nearly to levels usually reserved for supercars. Fuel consumption remains unchanged at 9.6 and 9.5 liters per 100 kilometers (24.5 and 24.8 US mpg), respectively, corresponding to 223 and 221 g CO2 per km (358.9 and 355.7 g/mi). These are best-in-segment figures. The new Audi RS 6 Avant performance and the new Audi RS 7 Sportback performance offer more power output than ever before. The 4.0 TFSI now produces 445 kW (605 hp) and maximum torque of 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft). A particular highlight of the engine is an overboost function allowing the driver to temporarily draw on up to 750 Nm (553.2 lb-ft).
