It currently has 37629. Almost all miles on trips from Phoenix to San Diego on vacation. She's a garage queen! Everything works. A new timing belt was installed in April of 2012. Nitto Invo tires at 90% remaining. Original exhaust, 18" rims, rear valence all included for the party wishing to take it back to total stock."

One of only 500 made in this color combo. I love this car and hate to part with it. So, I am fully aware that my retail price is off of suggested in the car "books."  Two previous owners were older. I purchased it from a dealer in Florida. I am in AZ. BTW, the valet parking kids always put this up front.

At launch this car was miles ahead of standard technologically- 6 speed, turbocharged, AWD, Haldex torque management, AND it gets 25 MPG! The suspension is nearly completely stock except for the adjustable lower control arms in the rear. This was done to adjust camber with a lower offset in the rear wheels. The red leather interior is stunning. Bose sound system with 6 disc changer. Zenon headlights. Heated seats and Homelink remote transmitter.  The car has numerous upgrades including:

  • APR Stage 1 upgrade - dyno'd at 250 HP on 91 octane, 255 on 93 octane
  • Red powder coated adjustable rear lower control arms to allow for greater offset
  • Osir DTM Valence
  • Osir Telson Spoiler
  • Tenso 18" lightweight wheels
  • H & R Wheel Spacers
  • BlueFlame stainless exhaust - beautiful - quiet - low sound - appropriate with character of the car
  • Relatively new (90%) Nitto Invo 225/40-18
  • K & N air cleaner
  • Red painted emblems and accents

Audi R8 V10 Plus takes on Ducati Diavel in straight line

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The classic car-versus-motorcycle comparison is put to the test as Autocar pits a 2013 Audi R8 V10 against the Ducati Diavel in a run from 0-150-0 miles per hour. While you might expect the 162-horsepower Ducati weighing just 515 pounds to blow away the 542-horse, 3,500-pound Audi, this particular test measures the acceleration and braking of both high-performance machines.
Drag racing an Audi R8 against a Ducati on a long, flat stretch of concrete sounds fun to us, and Autocar documented the whole test for our viewing pleasure. We don't want to spoil the fun for you, so let's just say that a Volkswagen-owned brand wins. Scroll down to watch the video for yourself.

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. IIHS gives 90 models its Top Safety Pick award in one fell swoop

Wed, Feb 24 2021

Although the Audi A7 and the Toyota Sienna are positioned on completely different ends of the automotive spectrum, they overlap in one important area: both earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). They're among the 49 cars that received the distinction for 2021, while 41 additional models scored a Top Safety Pick (without the plus) award from the institute, bringing the number of winners to 90. Earning a coveted Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS is easier said than done. Recipients need to score a good rating in the institute's six crash tests, be available with a front crash prevention system that scores a superior or advanced rating in vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations, and be offered with (but, crucially, not necessarily fitted standard with) headlights that are either good or acceptable. Vehicles that have good or acceptable headlights across the full range, regardless of trim level, are eligible for the Top Safety Pick+ award. The Hyundai Group (which includes Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis) earned more awards than any other carmaker, with 12 standard Top Safety Pick distinctions and five earning a Pick+. Volvo led the Pick+ chart with its entire lineup of nine vehicles. At the other end of the spectrum, Mitsubishi still hasn't earned a single award, and General Motors only nabbed one of each. Safety is spreading across market segments, according to the IIHS. It pointed out that, in 2020, there were no minivans or pickup trucks on the list of Top Safety Pick recipients. Fast forward to 2021, and the list includes the Honda Odyssey, the Toyota Sienna, and the Ram 1500 crew cab; the first two earned a Pick+. The full list of 2021 award winners is on the IIHS website. Note that, for some models, only units built after a certain date earned an award. This distinction reflects a change (usually in headlights) during the production run. Cars sold in the United States are safer than ever, but automakers still sell vehicles with a zero-star crash test rating in many global markets. Suzuki's 2020 S-Presso flunked a reasonably basic round of tests in 2020. Featured Gallery 2021 Hyundai Palisade View 12 Photos Audi Hyundai Volvo
