First is the power steering hose. While on a road trip to Wyoming I had power steering leaking. I took it to a local mechanic who fabbed up a replacement for the leaky line since one could not be sourced locally. The car drives mine and power steering is fully functional but I would suggest replacing it with an oem part before any hard driving. Another minor thing is at the bottom center of the windshield is a tiny crack in the glass from rock thrown at me from a semi. Again barley even noticeable but probably worth having it sealed. The wheel speed sensor in the right front side is also broken. Because of this traction control is permanently off. I've never bother to change it because I prefer it that way but it should be an easy fix if you're into that. The last issue is a boost leak that sprang up after the turbo replacement. The boost leak triggering a p1297 code and between new car, new job and school I haven't had the time nor money to get it looked at. The car pulls really hard to about 10psi before falling on its face. That being said even with the leak this car is set up to be a blast in summer or winter. I've sunk thousands into this car with maintenance and upgrades and though it has a few issues its one step away from being supreme. I wish I had the space, money and time to finish myself. I'm trying to be as open as possible but as this is a private used car sale, and a modified one at that, it is an as-is sale with no warranty expressed or implied. The same goes for emissions testing. I don't have to deal with emissions where I live so I cannot testify in that regard. Though with the professional e85 conversion, including documentation I can provide, titling it shouldn't be any problem. Willing to ship but buyer must arrange and pay for shipping. Fully payment must be received before shipping. Has a clean and clear Colorado Title ready to be signed over. Thanks! |

New info on how VW, Porsche, Audi V6 TDI engine cheat works
Mon, Aug 8 2016The German newspaper Bild am Sonntag is reporting that US investigators have found three pieces of software that work in concert to turn off the emissions control equipment in certain diesel models after a set period of time. The engine in question, the 3.0-liter TDI turbodiesel, was found in certain Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, and Porsche Cayenne models – the sale of which was suspended in the US late last year. Since most emissions compliance testing takes around 20 minutes, the software in the three VW Group models shuts off the emissions control equipment after 22 minutes, a straightforward end run around the testing. Remember that the 3.0-liter TDI engines aren't included in the big buyback and recall program announced for the smaller 2.0-liter, four-cylinder TDI engines. The 3.0-liter engines will likely get their own program, but we don't know when to expect it or exactly what it will look like. Last month, California rejected a proposed fix for the larger TDI engines, and VW went back to the drawing board. Since the company is unlikely to create two fixes, one for California and one for the rest of the nation, the company can't really proceed until they figure out a solution California will accept. The EPA hasn't officially commented on the report, and we don't know how Bild am Sonntag came across the information, but we'll be closely watching what emerges after this report. Related Video:
Audi's next S7 spotted sporting Prologue-inspired nose
Wed, Sep 21 2016Our spy photographers caught the next-generation S7 testing at the Nurburgring, and this newest version, while still retaining the S7's hatchback profile, updates it with design cues from the Prologue concept. The front is the most distinctly updated part of the car, and pulls the most from the concept. The grille has been widened and given more defined corners that exaggerate the hexagonal shape. The headlights have been slimmed down and are more in line with the grille. These changes give the front of the new S7 a lower, wider look than its predecessor. Speaking of grilles, we also spot a heat exchanger tucked inside the grille opening on the left corner. We're not sure if this is an intercooler, an additional radiator or perhaps an oil cooler, but clearly something needed a bit more airflow. We don't really have any indications of what powertrain the new version will have, but it will probably have a higher output than the current 450-horsepower S7. Moving around to the back, the much-loved arching hatchback profile drops to a revised tail. The taillights, like the headlights, are more slender than they used to be, and they also appear to have been stretched closer to the center of the rear fascia. The base of the hatchback opening appears to have been widened as well. This doesn't have much of an effect on style, but it should make it easier to load cargo into the S7 and its stablemates. As for when we'll see this new hatch revealed, we're not sure. But this prototype looks close to production-ready, so we could see a debut soon, perhaps sometime next year. Audi's Q8 Concept previews a 2018 personal luxury crossover
Mon, Jan 9 2017Audi revealed the Q8 Concept here at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, and it's just as we expected: a Q7 with frameless windows, an oversized grille, and a rakish "coupe-like" roofline. This concept is an exaggerated example of a vehicle that will almost certainly enter production to do battle with BMW's vanity luxury utility, the X6, and Mercedes-Benz's GLE Coupe. The coupe moniker doesn't really apply, despite the German automakers' best attempts to redefine the word, but otherwise the Q8 Concept delivers. It's two inches shorter overall than a contemporary Q7, on a similar wheelbase, so the basic proportions of the thing should make the jump to production. View 14 Photos The driveline is equally plausible: a plug-in hybrid setup pairing a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 with a 17.9-kWh lithium-ion battery. The concept's V6 hypothetically makes 333 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, and a single electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission adds 100 kW (134 hp) and 234 lb-ft of torque to the mix. Those numbers certainly make sense, considering the gas Q7 makes 333 hp (albeit with a supercharger) and the existing Q7 e-tron, which isn't sold here, pairs a 17.3-kWh battery with a diesel V6. Since this is a concept, production intent or no, the range numbers are also a little theoretical, but here's what Audi claims: a 60-mile EV range, and a total range of around 621 miles. Not shabby if you're taking a long road trip. The adaptive air suspension should also make it a comfortable one. Inside, this is a four-place vehicle; no third row, and no center rear seat, as is the trend with these things. The cabin is very clean and modern – typically Audi, although exaggerated a bit. Expect it to be toned down some for production, but this concept interior is a glimpse into the future. We'll have to wait until next year to see something closer to production-ready, but it's coming.
