The TT RS is already a rare vehicle in North America with only about 1000 imported, and no longer being imported.  The car you are bidding on is even more rare and inconceivably fast with the full Audi Performance and Racing (APR) Stage III upgrades which boost horsepower up to 665 hp on 100 octane.  The potential is awe inspiring but this is still a very comfortable daily driver which I use to commute regularly.  Around town gas mileage is around 24 mpg, which is the beauty of a turbo - power when you want it but not constantly guzzling gas when taking it easy.  But if the mood strikes, this car can run 0-60 in under 3 seconds in the right hands.

I am the second owner having bought it with 500 miles on it from an exotic car dealer in Indiana, Abreu Motors.  The drive train upgrades were done around 9800 miles by authorized APR installer European Legacy Motors in Houston, TX and includes:

APR Stage III GTX Turbo

APR Intercooler

APR High pressure fuel pump

VWR High flow cold air intake

Sachs clutch pressure plate and disc

APR turbo-back stainless exhaust and high flow cat

APR ECU tuning with all programs and settings and lifetime updates

Goodridge stainless brake lines with Motul fluid

Motul coolant and engine oil

42 Draft design 8 mm wheel spacers

Brembo brake pads

Denso Iridium IKH24 spark plugs

Price paid for all parts and labor is $28,000.  The car and upgrades are 100% paid for with a clean title.

The suspension is 100% stock, and is that for a reason - the stock set up with normal and sport modes is so good that there is nothing on the market that can improve on it for performance and comfort in a single set up.

This supercar does not have the factory fluff like high-end stereo and navigation or sunroof.  It is performance oriented and those things are unnecessary weight.  I don't miss it one bit.  It does have power heated seats and XM radio.

This car has never been damaged but I did repaint on of the factory wheels for this auction which had a touch of curb rash.  It is as clean as they come, non smoker, no drive thru meals, and detailed (too) often.

I had the pleasure of running this wee beast on the Circuit of the Americas track for a weekend with MVP Track Time in February this year.  The car performed flawlessly and was a joy to drive. The turbo is smooth and gives gobs of torque, the brakes are very reliable, and even the stock wheel/tire combo works well.  Even on 93 gas this TT RS is neck and neck with a Porsche GT3-RS or Turbo - for a fraction of the cost.  The Sachs clutch is a just as easy as the factory but has a short engagement so shifts are fast and clean.

Shown in some of the COTA photos are a set of white O.Z. racing 18x8 Alleggerita HLT wheels with BFG R1 245/40ZR tires which are about 12 lbs lighter each than the stock set.  The O.Z. wheelset is INCLUDED in the auction and has only 2 days on the track with 90% tread left.   Lug bolts included and these wheels do not use the 8 mm 42Design spacers.  This is a $3000 retail value.

Thank you for bidding and if you have any questions or need more information please get in touch.

Audi bringing matrix 'organic' LED concept to Frankfurt

Wed, Jul 29 2015

Audi has announced that it's bringing a new concept to the upcoming Frankfurt motor show in September, and now it is teasing the taillights. They adopt organic light-emitting diode technology, which takes advantage of several benefits. For one, it uses a relatively low amount of electricity, between three and four volts. It's also incredibly thin, made up of two layers, each less than a thousandth of a millimeter thick. It casts no shadows, requires no reflectors or any other elements, and emits very little heat. Plus the lights can be formed into different shapes, opening up new possibilities for designers. This isn't the first time we've seen Audi focus on lighting technology, and in recent years it's showcased matrix LED and matrix laser headlights. The company runs through the history of the evolution of its lighting tech in the video above. We'll have to wait a little longer to find out what the team from Ingolstadt will be putting these new taillights on. Audi presents latest lighting technology at the IAA in Frankfurt - Matrix OLED technology makes its debut in a concept car at the IAA - Light attains a new level of homogeneity - Flat light sources open up new design possibilities Audi is presenting its next step in automotive lighting technology at the IAA in Frankfurt. The new Matrix OLED lights enable a previously unattainable level of lighting homogeneity, opening up further creative opportunities for design. As the leading brand in automotive lighting technology, Audi has systematically developed all aspects of OLED technology over the years. Matrix OLED lights combine high-tech engineering and design ideally – initial projects are currently underway to implement OLED technology in production tail lights. They are being shown for the first time in a concept car at the IAA. OLED is an English acronym for "organic light emitting diode." In each OLED unit, two electrodes – of which at least one must be transparent – incorporate numerous thin layers of organic semiconductor materials. A low DC voltage – between three and four volts – activates the layers, each of which is less than one-thousandth of a millimeter thick, to light them. The color is based on the molecular composition of the light source. In contrast to point light sources – such as LEDs – which are made of semiconductor crystals, OLEDs are flat light sources. Their light attains a new level of homogeneity, and its dimming is continuously variable.

Audi A3 G-Tron offers big range, few emissions

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Audi is exploring a variety of sustainable transportation technologies beyond the traditional diesel, hybrid, plug-in and electric options, including the compressed natural gas A3 Sportback G-Tron that debuted today at the Geneva Motor Show.
The most interesting thing about this rather innocuous-looking A3 Sportback is that when run on Audi e-gas, the car becomes completely carbon neutral, emitting no more CO2 than was chemically input in this special fuel's production. Audi has already broken ground on a new plant - powered by renewable energy, of course - that uses electrolysis to produce e-gas, which could then be made available through any natural gas distribution network.

Audi A1 now testing after S1 Geneva debut

Sun, 16 Mar 2014

Audi showed of its new S1 hot hatch to the public at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but the Four Ringed brand isn't done tweaking the smallest member of its lineup. Here are spy shots of an upcoming refresh of the standard A1.
The camouflaged model on display here appears to be the three-door model. From what we can discern, it seems the A1 is going to look a lot more like the S1 after the revisions. The headlights and taillights are more like the new performance model than the current standard car. Unlike the S model, the facelifted version has a different front bumper with reshaped foglights and a slightly altered design.
A release date for the refresh hasn't been announced yet, but regardless it probably won't be coming here. Audi is already aiming the A3 at young, American buyers. The little A1 just doesn't fit with that strategy.
