Up for sale is a 2001 Audi TT 225hp (stock) 277 hp (aftermarket) Quattro 6 speed manual transmission. It has 133,xxx miles on it. I still use this as my daily driver so the miles will go up. I purchased this vehicle about a year ago and absolutely love it. I've put a lot of money into this car to make it look nice and it's an absolute blast to drive and a head turner. The color is brilliant red with showroom condition black on chrome interior. So far I have put a stage 2 clutch in, stage 2 fuel injectors, ECU reflash, NGK laser platinum plugs, mass airflow sensor, cold air, coil packs, coil pack wiring harness, timing belt including the timing belt, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, thermostat, metal impeller water pump, and all the seals, and that's just under the hood. Also I have done new lateral and longitude sensors, abs sensors (both sides), roller bearings (both sides), ball joints (both sides), cv shafts (both sides), coil over kit sport suspension, alignment, oil has been changed with premium oil every 3 months since I've had it, tires rotated every 6 months, well maintained by me and the previous owner with all records. Also I have custom 18" black chrome ssr racing wheels, tires are in good condition with about 50% tread left, a custom stereo system featuring a pioneer avh-p8400bh double din, 1-12" jl audio w6, a jl audio 500/1 amp, and a 1.5 farad audio capacitor, all in a custom box built for the car with red LEDs strung through it. It gets around 28mpg highway and 22mpg city. Also you will be getting all extra parts that I have for the vehicle including a Bentley manual.  Buyer has to pick up. I will accept Paypal only.

Audi partners with AT&T for 4G LTE, will offer Mobile Share data plan

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Audi has made a big splash at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, joining the Open Automotive Alliance with Google, Honda, Hyundai, General Motors and NVIDIA, debuting a next-generation cockpit that's destined for the third-generation Audi TT and promising to offer laser headlights in a production car. But much like Apple during the Steve Jobs days, it has "just one more thing."
The German luxury brand has announced that it will, like Chevrolet, be teaming with AT&T to offer 4G LTE connectivity in its vehicles. The first model to benefit will be the 2015 Audi A3.
"With the introduction of the new A3 family Audi is putting the most advanced technology into the compact luxury segment," said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America in a press release. "Offering drivers a 4G LTE connection will provide the fastest in-vehicle connection available and significantly enhance the infotainment experience."

Audi TT spy shots reveal revised lighting elements

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

As we inch closer to an expected Geneva debut for the next-generation Audi TT, our latest round of spy photos are starting to give us an even better look at Audi's latest sports car. This time out, we're getting more details on the car's head and taillights.
It's safe to say that the new headlight design will not incorporate the twin rally lights we see mounted on the next TT's grille, but our spy photos do show off the wide, angular new lights in even greater detail than previous photos. The rear lights, meanwhile, look like they'll retain a similar shape to what's seen on the current car, while new LED details lend a degree of freshness to the look.
As we mentioned, we're predicting Audi will debut the next TT at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show in March. We expect, though, to have more on the car before that time. Stay tuned.

Audi's fastest cars won't catch your drift

Tue, Mar 28 2017

"I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." – Stephan Reil Drift modes are popping up in sports cars all over the world, but Audi Sport development boss Stephan Reil refuses to have anything to do with them, insisting they're a waste of time and tires. So if you want to show off with a wild-looking, tire-smoking, perfectly controlled drift in an Audi Sport model, you will have to brush up on your car control, not your button pushing. "No drift mode. Not in the R8, not in the RS3, not in the RS6, not in the RS4," Reil said. "I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." That seems a bit like Reil and his team are missing a trick that is proving popular with enthusiast buyers and isn't technically difficult to do. It's also a whole lot safer than holding down the skid-control button for long enough to switch off all the electronic safety nets, which Audi Sport will actually let you do. "You can do it yourself [drifting] with the ESP off, if you hold it [the button] for three seconds," Reil challenged. "Then it will not intervene for you even when it [the car] is fully out of control, because that's what you asked it not to do. "You wanted the full control by pushing that button. You got it." Almost every fast car, from Ford to Ferrari, now comes with (or soon will) a drift mode so drivers can just stomp on the gas and turn the wheel to instantly look like rally stars. The dangers of do-it-yourself drift control (which our forefathers used to call "driving") make up most of the moral defense for the companies that use the computer-controlled versions. While critics have called drift modes irresponsible, proponents argue that it is far safer than switching off all the safety nets, because there is still a level of skid-control safety behind it. "Drift control is a lot safer than just turning everything off," BMW M chief Franciscus van Meel said during the launch of the M550i xDrive. "The drivers can enjoy the car on a track but it still has another level of safety to catch them if they make a mistake." View 23 Photos But is that extra level of safety actually for the common good? Critics note there is no way to restrict drivers using drift modes on suburban streets.
