This car is amazing. Black glossy exterior, masculine black matte leather interior (pristine). There is one small ding (oooouch) that is incidental near the back left brake light (as pictured)...and the only one in 10 years.
One owner (me). I ordered the car from Germany in 2003 and got all the features that I wanted at the time....park-tronic for backing up....this has saved me so many times parking in the city. Seats go all the way back.
The car has around 111,000 miles and got a full brand new transmission at 100,000 miles. At 110,000 miles I had the 2nd timing belt and huge overhaul of service done. All paperwork for the life of the car is available. 340 horses of pure pleasure. I loved driving in SF with this car. I had a lot of brake pad replacements with my 'every' 10,000 mile service. I have the same service consultant for the life of the car at Sonnen Audi
/Volkswagon in Marin, who can keep up with the new owner and the car. The BOSE stereo is amazing with a 6-CD player, seat warmers, 2 door moon-roof, seats 5, Back seat comes all the way down for huge storage in this wagon. Cool retractable cover for the back storage area to keep valuable cargo out of view...I can send you some good links on the performance, etc of this car. Did I mention it is FAST?

Audi A3 named 2014 World Car of the Year

As usual, the second press day of the New York Auto Show was kicked off by the World Car of the Year Awards. Rather than fluff things up, we'll cut right to the chase: top honors go to the brand-new Audi A3, which bested the Mazda3 and BMW 4 Series for the all-important award.
Of course, the wonderful thing about the World Car awards is that there isn't just one big announcement - other honors are given out for specific categories. Here are the other winners from this year's ceremony:

2015 Audi A3

The five-door Audi A3 hatchback, on sale in the States since the 2006 model year, never earned the respect it deserved. Despite possessing the automaker's well-regarded build quality and a range of strong powerplants (including an excellent diesel option), the entry-level model always played second fiddle to the rest of the Audi lineup, suffering from less innovative technologies and fewer premium options on its list. Many buyers considered it inferior to the rest of the models in the company's showroom. But those misconceptions could be about to change, as Audi is in the midst of introducing its third-generation A3 family to the States with expectations that the range will finally align with the rest of its portfolio.
First to arrive is this new sedan, notable as it is the first time the A3 has been offered as a compact four door. The new bodystyle is positioned as a premium C-segment offering, with its most obvious competitor being the new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class (BMW has not officially announced a 2 Series Gran Coupe, which would be the third entrant in the segment). The automaker says its "A3/S3 models will be among the most technically advanced Audi products around" and there will be "no sacrificing Audi craftsmanship and premium appointments." To put the automaker's claims to the test, we spent a week with this new sedan in Southern California.
