^2002 Audi S6 Avant Quattro^

Up for auction is my 02' Audi S6 4.2L V8 Avant Quattro. I will start off by telling you this is most likely one of the finest examples left to exist. This is a rare vehicle as only roughly 900 were imported to the U.S. This car demands attention were ever it goes! I get compliments everywhere I go. You will not find one of these next to you at the stop light nor in your neighbors driveway! With that said let me begin! Brilliant black over ebony nappa leather interior. Excellent shape inside and out I would have to rate exterior at solid 9 and interior at a 9 as well. Non-smoker, 2 previous Audi enthusiast owners. Garage kept and well maintained. Timing belt and waterpump was completed at 90k. Castrol synthetic motor oil always used and all driveline has redline synthetic fluids. Engine is strong and no leaks. Transmission shifts flawlessly. Suspension is tight and sound. The fuel pump was replaced in June 2013. Currently on the car are a set of 19" S-line wheels with Goodyear Eagle GT tires. Tires and wheels were purchased in 2012 around 130k. I purchased an addtional 5th 19" wheel which is brand new in the box for future use if one ever hit a pot hole or curbed a wheel. I also am including the factory premium audi alloy wheels mounted on cooper snow tires which are all in excellent shape. The car has a full H&R suspension which handles amazingly and places the car at a great stance. The only other modificaion is the "Miltek" dual exhaust which gives it just the right sound but nearly next to stock. The CEL is on due to the miltek exhaust however one may purchase a "cheater" to accept the sport cats which is inexpensive. The car runs, drives, and performs excellent. Factory equipment and options as follows......Xeon headlamps, factory navigation, heated front & rear seating, bose premium sound with 6disc in-dash changer, dual zone climate control, 12-way power front adjustable seats with lumbar and mem. settings, servotronic sensitive steering,5-speed tiptronic transmission w/ steering wheel shifters, rear side airbags, rear cargo net, 60/40 rear folding seats with ski-pass, and the notorious audi factory alcantara suede headliner throughout the cabin! If you are looking for a seriously "CLEAN" Audi S6 avant this may be for you! If you are attracted to this car and ad an got this far but want it for wholesale or next to nothing look elsewhere. I assure that you will not find one in as "Clean" as shape anywhere around. (YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR) I am having a hardtime parting ways with this vehicle however I need to make room in my garage for a new Mercedes CLA-45 amg I have on order. Lastly I am including brand new front rotors and pads as well as a set of Audi winter weather floor mats.

Coming to America | 2018 Audi RS3 Sedan First Drive

Tue, Mar 21 2017

Audi's Quattro division never let us have the giant-killing, all-wheel-drive RS3. Too sophisticated for the US, they said. Too European. And we only make it as a Sportback (that's hatchback to you). You wouldn't like it. You're more SUV kind of people. Others, those in Quattro's special we-like-you countries, bought the RS3 and constantly raved about it, insisting its handling made the Mercedes-AMG A45 look ponderous (because, well, it is), its packaging was terrific, and the noise, they said. The noise. Over and over, the noise. But ex-Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann is now the boss and he's brought with him a worldview that Quattro GmbH never had. And despite being busy changing the letterhead to Audi Sport, Winkelmann found time to think about America. And he must like us because he's moved us to the top of the list. Not only will we get the face-lifted RS3, with its new, lightweight five-cylinder turbo motor crunching out 332 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower, we'll get it in a crisply styled three-box sedan. And we'll get it first, before even Germany (where it's built). The RS3's 2.5-liter five-cylinder has enough power to hurl it to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and, thanks to launch control, the ability to do so repeatably. It's coming with a 155-mph top speed that can be raised to 174. It's coming with limpet grip from a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. It's coming with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (and don't ask for a stick shift, because they haven't bothered to engineer one). It's coming standard (for the US) with constantly variable magnetic ride dampers, which replace the base fixed-rate steel spring-and-damper setup. But more than anything else, the RS3 sedan is coming here with that engine. It starts with a sharp braaap as it spins to around 4000 rpm and then a pop and bang that will wake the neighbors. And that's in the quieter default mode. It's like an angry man who always wakes up looking for a fight and, finding he can't get one, barks out the last word anyway. Except it never really goes quiet. It goes less loud, but not quiet. Quiet is not in the repertoire. The engine is what dominates this car and the noise dominates the engine. It's always there, always threatening, menacing, bellowing, barking, or popping and burbling. With a 1-2-4-5-3 firing order, the turbo five is a unique combination of belligerent and sophisticated, raucous and operatic, brutal and smooth, and often all of them at the same time.

Audi A7 Sportback H-Tron Quattro packs plug-in hydrogen powertrain

Thu, Nov 20 2014

If you think a plug-in diesel hybrid is an expensive proposition, just wait until you hear details about the just-revealed Audi A7 Sportback H-Tron Quattro. The "H" in H-Tron, as you might guess, stands for hydrogen, so say hello to a new concept that combines a plug-in battery system with a hydrogen fuel cell. Yeah, exactly. Let's start with the numbers. On the plug-in side, the new H-Tron has an 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery that can power the car for up to 31 miles on battery power. With electric motors on both axles – it's a Quattro, after all, but a through-the-road hybrid with electronic torque distribution management – the A7 H-Tron uses a hydrogen fuel cell and four (!) H2 tanks to offer about 62 miles per gallon equivalent. Audi says the overall fuel cell stack efficiency is "as high as 60 percent" while the electric motors operate at 95 percent efficiency. Efficiently turning all of that electricity into movement means the A7 Sportback H-Tron Quattro has a total power output of 398.3 pound-feet of torque. The 4,299-pound concept can allegedly go from 0-62 miles per hour in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 112 mph. The car's total range is 311 miles. The A7 H-Tron is not the first plug-in hydrogen vehicle concept. That title goes to the Ford HySeries Edge. Mazda also considered putting a hydrogen range extender in the Mazda5 plug-in van. The Audi A7 Sportback h-tron quattro It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mi) in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 180 km/h (111.8 mph). It covers over 500 kilometers (310.7 mi) on one tank of fuel – and its exhaust emits nothing more than a few drops of water: The A7 Sportback h-tron quattro, which Audi is unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014, uses a powerful, sporty electric drive with a fuel cell as its energy source that operates in combination with a hybrid battery and an additional electric motor in the rear. The overall electrical system power of 170 kW is transferred to both the front and the rear wheels. This drive configuration makes the emission-free Audi A7 Sportback* a quattro through and through – a new departure in fuel cell cars. "The A7 Sportback h-tron quattro is a genuine Audi – at once sporty and efficient. Conceived as an e-quattro, its two electric motors drive all four wheels," explained Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at Audi. "The h-tron concept car shows that we have mastered fuel cell technology.

New Audi Allroad Shooting Brake concept images leak out, next TT previewed?

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

The Detroit Auto Show media preview kicks off on Monday, which means the time is just about ripe for previously embargoed images and information to start leaking out onto the web in a major way. Case in point is this Allroad Shooting Brake from Audi, a seemingly close-to-production vehicle that may foreshadow the styling of the upcoming Audi TT, or hint at the looks of a Q1, or both.
The TT bit may seem far fetched, but we do know that Audi has used a small wagon concept to preview the design of an upcoming TT before - back in 2006 before the release of the gen-two car. We also fully anticipate the Q1 to be breaking cover sooner rather than later, so the safe money is that the concept closely resembles what that production vehicle will ultimately look like, though perhaps with a bit more height overall.
And, frankly, be it a TT or Q1 or both, we like what we're seeing. Sharp character lines on a rounded body form follow the idiom of the current TT rather nicely, while the big-wheels-at-all-corners stance plays into the sporting character we'd expect from any small Audi. Inside, we see the same Virtual Cockpit, MMI controller, and vents that we recently took in at CES, though with a slightly different steering wheel (with the starter button built right in). Tidy work here, too.
