HI,

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Please read this listing in detail and re-read it. I don't want my time wasted, and I don't want to waste your time.     ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS!

I initially bought this as a 3rd vehicle with a KY salvage title. I cannot find anything as to why it was "salvaged". The only repairs I had to make on it was the right front airbag and front right CV shaft. Other than that, I cannot find any reason as to why I bought it with the title it had. I now have had it inspected as per requirement in the state of Michigan to have the title transferred to "salvaged-rebuilt" That's the best I can get the title to be. The body had NO repairs done in any way, shape, or form. I cannot find any signs of moisture inside the vehicle anywhere that would indicate a flood or water damage.  The car is not NEW. IT IS USED> Please understand that my description is as accurate as I can honestly make it.

Now, The car needs work. It seems that it makes a clunking sound upon deceleration. I "think" its a intermediate drive shaft bearing. I was allowed to drive it on the road roughly 15 miles one way to the police station and drop it off for the inspection. It was the first time I was able to put it through the ringer. I will say that its a monster on the road. It is fast. It shifted fine, Drove straight, and felt good. I also drove it home. The noise seems to be only when you let off the gas.

The front right strut/airbag leaked bad when I bought it. I replaced it with a used one and it hold air just fine. Since then, if it sits for over 7 days, the rear starts to sag. When the car is used daily, you would never notice the rear leak as minor as it is. I would estimate that the rear end would drop 1.5 inches over the course of a week of non use. Every time the car is started, the ride ecu activates and levels the car. It almost sits as high as my Avalanche on the highest setting. FYI.

The front right CV shaft was destroyed when I bought It. It was replaced with a brand new unit.

Other issues:
Exhaust is noisy. Flex pipe is worn and needs replaced. There's 2 flex pipes.  exhaust might need more repair to fix minor leaks. IT honestly sounds like it has a custom exhaust. I can pull codes up to show exhaust leak.

Driver door storage bin (shown) wont stay closed.

E-brake trim wont stay latched (shown)

Dash display is bipolar. Sometimes the left side of the LED display is dim. (I was told it's common)

Rear deck  storage cover is broke. (shown with deck open) No affect on anything.

Headlights. They are true HID. The lenses are dim and faded. The lights are still brighter than all other vehicles I own. They wont buff out. Trust me.

Might need valve cover gaskets. When I purchased it, It would smoke a little from the exhaust manifold burning off a little oil. But since then, it seems to have gone away. Maybe due to it not being driven for a while.

Audi rolls out new A6 L E-Tron hybrid for China

Fri, Apr 17 2015

Audi is expanding its range of hybrid models with the introduction of the A6 L E-Tron at the Shanghai Motor Show. It's earmarked specifically for the Chinese market and is based on the long-wheelbase A6 L already produced there. The new E-Tron model marries a 2.0-liter turbo four good for 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque to an electric motor with 122 hp and 162 lb-ft integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. A lithium-ion battery pack provides 14.1 kWh power. Mounted in the trunk, it limits cargo capacity to 11.9 cubic feet. The system produces net output of 245 hp and 369 lb-ft – enough to send the long-wheelbase hybrid to 62 miles per hour in 8.4 seconds en route to a top speed of 130 mph. All the while, it'll return 106.9 miles per gallon by the Chinese standard, traveling over 30 miles on electric power alone (at speeds of up to 83.9 mph) and up to 546.8 miles without needing to stop. The A6 L E-Tron is one of three new hybrids Audi is showcasing in Shanghai this year, alongside the Q7 E-Tron and Prologue Allroad concept. Ingolstadt, 2015-04-16 The new Audi A6 L e-tron for China - First Audi plug-in hybrid model from Chinese production - Output of 180 kW (245 hp) with extremely low consumption - 50 km (31.1 mi) electric range and total range of 880 km (546.8 mi) With the A6 L e-tron, Audi is taking an important step toward even greater fuel efficiency in China. The sedan has been developed specifically for the Chinese market. Its plug-in hybrid drive with 180 kW (245 hp) provides for powerful performance. The model consumes on average just 2.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (106.9 US mpg). After launching the e-tron era in China with the imported A3 Sportback e-tron* in 2015, Audi is taking the next step with the local production of the A6 L e-tron beginning in 2016. The model is based on the long version of the Audi A6, which is already built in China, and is configured as a highly efficient parallel hybrid, meaning that its two drives are arranged one directly behind the other. The 2.0 TFSI is a state-of-the-art, four-cylinder, gasoline engine producing 155 kW (211 hp) and 350 Nm (258.1 lb-ft) of torque. The disk-shaped electric motor provides 91 kW and 220 Nm (162.3 lb-ft) of torque. Together with a decoupler, this is integrated into the eight-speed tiptronic transmission, which transfers the power to the front wheels. System output is 180 kW (245 hp); maximum system torque is 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft).

VW makes $23K on every Porsche sold, more than Bentley or Lamborghini

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

It's a good time to be in the luxury car business. In Volkswagen Group's financial report for the 2013 fiscal year, it is revealed that that Porsche enjoyed an operating margin of 18 percent. That means the Stuttgart brand made on average about $23,200 per car sold, according to BusinessWeek. Bentley wasn't far behind, and Audi (which was combined with Lamborghini) posted a 10.1 percent margin. This compares to only around 2.9 percent for the Volkswagen brand.
"Luxury brands are on fire," said Dave Sullivan, an industry analyst at AutoPacific. He said that the average profit margin is between six and eight percent. Brands like Porsche and Bentley have the benefit of competing in rarefied markets. Buyers looking at one their vehicles have fewer models to shop against and don't care as much about price. They can also charge more for options, which further boosts income, according to BusinessWeek.
In a way, we should be more impressed by the continued success from Audi. Its models generally have direct competitors in every segment from the other premium automakers. Plus, their buyers aren't the captains of industry who are shopping for a Bentley. Still, the Four Rings is leading rivals in sales so far this year.

Audi Q2 is coming soon to a city center near you

Tue, Mar 1 2016

For a company that exploded into modern consciousness through its Quattro all-wheel-drive technology, delivering a crossover with just two-wheel drive could be a big leap for Audi. While some models offer all-wheel drive, Audi will deliver the entry-level versions of its all-new segment-stealing Q2 baby crossover SUV with just front-wheel drive. All Q2 models will run as front-wheel-drive cars most of the time anyway, with the all-wheel drive doled out by an electronically controlled, multi-plate differential. Fitted as standard only to the range-topping 2.0-liter petrol and diesel models, and optional on the 1.4-liter petrol and less-powerful 2.0-liter diesel models, the system only moves torque to the rear axle when the front end has run out of grip. Looking past which wheels are driven, there are more reasons to be positive than negative about the Q2. First, where the Prologue concept was the first car from new(ish) design boss Marc Lichte to wear an Audi badge, the Q2 will be his first production model. No more sausages cut to different lengths, he insists, and you can tell he means it when you look at the huge, chamfered cut they've taken out of the top of the doors at the tornado line. Designed and conceived for a younger, more urban audience than any Audi before it, the Q2 will also deliver buyers a full Mini-style level of individualization for its five-seat cabin. View 47 Photos Audi will launch the car with six different engines and the teasing promise of plug-in hybrid power "one day" in its life cycle. At 13.7 feet long, the Q2 is 7.67 inches shorter than the Q3 and far lighter, too. At just 2,657 pounds, it's light enough that Audi felt comfortable giving it a 114-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine as its entry powerplant. From there, Q2 buyers can step up to a 1.4-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with direct injection, variable valve timing and lift, and cylinder-on-demand technology, with 148 hp. The top petrol-powered variant will have the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo motor, with both direct and indirect fuel injection and 190 hp. A 114-hp version of the 1.6-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel provides the step-in point to the diesel range (in Europe, anyway), followed by a 148- and 190-hp versions of the 2.0-liter turbodiesel.
