Up for sale is my own personal fully loaded 2011 Audi A4 Premium Plus Quattro! This beauty is powered by the 2.0L TFSI engine with the 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission to cruise down the open road while listening to the optional incredible Bang & Olufsen premium sound system,  all while remaining glued to the road with the Quattro all-wheel drive system. She's also fully loaded with the Audi GPS navigation system and the EXTREMELY RARE Titanium Sport package!

The EXTREMELY RARE Titanium Sport package includes 19" Titanium-optic wheels with high performance tires, black exterior styling elements (window trim, front grille, etc), sport front seats with lumbar, sport suspension, three-spoke sport steering wheel, paddle shifters, Piano Black decorative interior trim as well as a completely black headliner! This beauty has a Brilliant Black exterior, Black Leather interior along with the Titanium Sport Package, making this fine example an EXTREMELY RARE combo that is nearly impossible to find! I searched for this combo for months, before I ultimately custom ordered this vehicle through Audi with a 6-month wait time. As you can see from the pictures below, it was WELL worth it - just look at her! Per my understanding, the Titanium Sport package was ONLY offered on the 2011 model year Audi A4's and will not be offered in the near future. What a rare combo!

This vehicle is in nearly mint condition inside and out. The exterior is in nearly mint condition with no dents, dings, or scratches with the exception of a couple (2-3) normal very tiny road chips on the hood, as seen in the photos. Please note that the mark that you see on the driver-side lower front bumper is only a bug splatter - I did not see it until I took all the pictures! There has been absolutely ZERO accidents or fender-benders with this car! I have always babied this car and even gotten a full exterior paint correction done, which means that most of the light "swirl marks" and "orange peel" that you can see in the paint from the factory has been removed and buffed out to a mirror shine. This car has never been to a car wash as I wash the car myself using a full touchless system - I cover the car in a thick soapy foam using a "foam lance" and then rinse the car down with fully deionized water (which does not leave any water spots behind, as all minerals are removed), and then let air dry without using any towels or chamois to dry it. Yes, I'm obsessive! In addition, this car has never had any type of aftermarket power tuners or chips installed nor any other modifications done to it.

This car has black leather interior and is in absolutely mint condition, with no rips, tears, scuffs or stains. Nobody in our family is a smoker and the car has NEVER been smoked in, and the interior has remained completely pet-free. The black leather is absolutely beautiful and compliments the deeply rich Brilliant Black exterior, making a stunning combo! It's equipped with the optional 14-speaker, 505 digitally amplified watt Bang & Olufsen premium sound system which sounds absolutely incredible! It's also equipped with the Audi MMI GPS Navigation plus package that equips it with a 7" full-color LCD screen and MMI control logic, which is powered by a 40-GB hard drive and an NVIDIA processor to enhance graphics, and it's even equipped with the optional Sirius Satellite radio with live traffic - this navigation system will blow your mind!

The vehicle is still covered under the remainder 4-year/50,000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, so there are many years of time left for complete peace of mind! It absolutely pains me to sell this vehicle, but as I'm nearing 60 years old with unexpected personal health issues popping up, she unfortunately has to go to a new, caring home. I paid cash for this vehicle so I have the title in hand with NO liens or leases against the title. She's ready for you to buy and start enjoying!

If you'd like to have the car shipped to you, I would be more than happy to help you with arranging the shipping! Please e-mail me and we can work out the details.

Audi tests new kind of car sharing, lets you buy cars with buddies [w/video]

Thu, Dec 11 2014

Car sharing services like ZipCar, Car2Go and others offer people in cities the chance to have a vehicle without dealing with the hassles of parking or maintenance, while also eliminating traffic. However, many individuals are turned off by the idea of splitting a car with an entire metropolis or would prefer to have a specific model at their disposal. For these unsatisfied souls, Audi has a new arrangement in Stockholm, Sweden, called Audi Unite that might be just the ticket. The setup is basically a small-scale car sharing service. Up to five people agree to share any of Audi's models for a year or two – even an R8 if they are so inclined. Each user has a special Bluetooth key fob that identifies them to the vehicle, and a smartphone app allows operators to schedule time with the car. Each person is then billed monthly according to his or her use. Audi thinks it might work best with friends, colleagues or neighbors, but the company can also play matchmaker for clients, if necessary. "In the beginning, our biggest fear was what if two people want to go somewhere at the same time-what happens then?" said Clemens Weisshaar, one of the founders of design firm Kram/Weisshaar that helped develop the idea, to Fast Company. "Interestingly, it never happened." They chose Stockholm because the city was tech-savvy, and there is a tradition of sharing there. Prices for Audi Unite seem fairly reasonable for each user. According to the service's website, if four people use an A3 Sportback for two years with a 20,000-kilometer (12,247-mile) driving limit, they would pay an average of 2,091 Swedish krona ($277) each per month. For an extra 365 krona (about $50) per person each month, they can add a package that includes vehicle pickup and delivery for monthly interior and exterior cleaning, winter tire exchanges and necessary servicing. After Stockholm, Audi plans to try Unite in other Swedish cities before launching the program in additional countries, according to Fast Company. Scroll down to watch a video with more explanation about how the program works and read the automaker's press release about the initiative.

Brand new cars are being sold with defective Takata airbags

Wed, Jun 1 2016

If you just bought a 2016 Audi TT, 2017 Audi R8, 2016–17 Mitsubishi i-MiEV, or 2016 Volkswagen CC, we have some unsettling news for you. A report provided to a US Senate committee that oversees the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and reported on by Automotive News claims these vehicles were sold with defective Takata airbags. And it gets worse. Toyota and FCA are called out in the report for continuing to build vehicles that will need to be recalled down the line for the same issue. That's not all. The report also states that of the airbags that have been replaced already in the Takata recall campaign, 2.1 million will need to eventually be replaced again. They don't have the drying agent that prevents the degradation of the ammonium nitrate, which can lead to explosions that can destroy the airbag housing and propel metal fragments at occupants. So these airbags are out there already. We're not done yet. There's also a stockpile of about 580,000 airbags waiting to be installed in cars coming in to have their defective airbags replaced. These 580k airbags also don't have the drying agent. They'll need to be replaced down the road, too. A new vehicle with a defective Takata airbag should be safe to drive, but that margin of safety decreases with time. If all this has you spinning around in a frustrated, agitated mess, there's a silver lining that is better than it sounds. So take a breath, run your fingers through your hair, and read on. Our best evidence right now demonstrates that defective Takata airbags – those without the drying agent that prevents humidity from degrading the ammonium nitrate propellant – aren't dangerous yet. It takes a long period of time combined with high humidity for them to reach the point where they can rupture their housing and cause serious injury. It's a matter of years, not days. So a new vehicle with a defective Takata airbag should be safe to drive, but that margin of safety decreases with time – and six years seems to be about as early as the degradation happens in the worst possible scenario. All this is small comfort for the millions of people who just realized their brand-new car has a time bomb installed in the wheel or dashboard, or the owners who waited patiently to have their airbags replaced only to discover that the new airbag is probably defective in the same way (although newer and safer!) as the old one.

2016 Audi TTS Quick Spin

Mon, Mar 28 2016

So, this is awkward. Last week, you (hopefully) read my Quick Spin on the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG, a vehicle that I argued was dynamically very good, but wasn't so much better than the standard C300 to make it a worthwhile buy. Now I'm going to voice a similar opinion. The Audi TT has always been a vehicle you bought for the style, rather than the performance. If you wanted an athletic two-seat German, you just bought a Porsche Boxster. But the TT, that's a car you bought for the way it looks. And the way it looks remains the strongest argument against the car you see here, the TTS. In short, it's quick, agile, and more aggressive looking, but none of those qualities are so dramatically better than the plain-jane TT. Another Autoblogger came to this conclusion while tracking the new TTS – now I'll explain where this car misses the bull's eye on the road. Driving Notes Audi will probably never match the design impact of the original 1998 TT, but the third-gen feels like a more mature, cohesive evolution of the handsome second-generation car. The front and rear fascias are sharper, more muscular, the headlights/taillights chiseled and emotive, and the front grille significantly more powerful. Even in the subdued Daytona Gray shown here, this is a car that can get people staring almost as easily as that original model. The interior of the third-generation TT is as much a design triumph as the first TT's exterior. It's a master class in clean, simple, elegant design, but it's also extremely disorienting. Buttons for the HVAC system are hidden on the vents themselves and not having a central display of any kind is jarring. Once you get used to the layout and embrace the absolutely exceptional Virtual Cockpit – seriously, I'm convinced this is the finest piece of in-car technology on the market – the cockpit layout just starts making sense. This is a compact cabin, but it's a wonderful place to spend time. In addition to Virtual Cockpit, the S Sport seats (optional on the standard TT) are supportive and perfectly snug. Even for the big boned, the flat-bottomed steering wheel is a delight. The material quality is high across the board. Perhaps the biggest complaint is the charitably named backseats. Audi should just go with an R8-style shelf back here – those tiny buckets aren't fooling anyone. It'd make for a more versatile interior. Audi's current TT engine line is restricted to 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinders.
