2006 Audi A4 (came out mid-year 2005.5) Sport Wagon:
I have loved....LOVED being the proud owner of this amazing car for 4 years, but after starting a home building business 2 years ago my truck is getting more use and it is time to let her go.

You are looking at a well tuned machine that packs a lot of punch with its well rounded package. This Audi A4 Avant still packs the same punch that it did from the first day that I drove it.....ergo the beauty in German engineering of fine motors. The well tuned naturally aspirated V6 will get you where you need to go without any hesitation.  The ride is quite pleasing with road noise being kept to a minimum with the exception of the throaty purr exuding from its dual exhaust pumping from its power house.  It is a 2005.5 because the car came out in the year 2005 but has the new body style of 2006.

Specs:
It is a A4 5-door station wagon dubbed the Avant with a 6-speed Tiptronic Automatic Transmission. The slick Avant model V6 putting out 255 HP@ 6500 rpm, delivered to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. 5 star reviews in every area including....... purrs like a kitty under the hood, very stylish, and excellent acceleration.  Only con is that it is hard to find!

For the sportiness, it corners very well and has very quick acceleration. You press the gas and you can just feel the car wants to go! For the luxury, the seats come in soft leather, have lumbar supports for your back, and heated front/back seats. You get dual climate control and 4 driver memory settings. It is very comfortable and very stylish.

The car includes Bose's premium sound system which gives clarity and even distribution of sound. It adds to the overall driving experience since it's a fun little car to drive!! .

The A4 Premium trim level package comes nicely equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, leather seating, heated power mirrors, power driver's seat, a sunroof, Sirius satellite radio, Servotronic speed-sensitive steering and a split-folding rear seat back. This package is coupled with the Cold Weather Package bringing into the mix: heated front and rear seats...rubber mats....and a sleeve between the rear seats to slide your skis into... Popular standalone options that have been added on the A4 include a Navigation System Plus and Bose's Premium Sound System.

The car is for sale by owner; a meticulous, nonsmoker. All manuals. The is one small crack below license plate. Synthetic oil changes and always premium gas.

2013 Audi RS6 Avant hauls ass and then some

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Holy moly. Despite the fact that Audi first released details on its 2013 RS6 Avant back in December, we're still just as smitten with it now as we were a couple months ago. And why wouldn't we be? This stunning piece of forbidden fruit combines two of our favorite things: fast Audis and useful wagons.
The meat and potatoes behind the RS6 Avant is its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, tuned to crank out 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel-drive wagon can scoot to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 155 mph. Opting for the Dynamic package ups that v-max to 174 mph, and selecting the Dynamic Plus pack increases that even further to 190 mph.
This RS6 Avant certainly looks the part of an extreme ass-hauler, fitted with the usual RS-spec gaping air intakes, 21-inch wheels, sport exhaust and carbon fiber ceramic brakes. Combine all that goodness with dynamic ride control, an adaptive air suspension and torque-vectoring Quattro all-wheel drive, and we have no doubt that this thing will scare off every other station wagon in the parking lot. (Well, except maybe that Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Woof.)

The skinny on Delphi's autonomous road trip across the United States [w/videos]

Wed, Apr 8 2015

Rolling out of an S-shaped curve along Interstate 95, just past Philadelphia International Airport, the final obstacle between the autonomous car and its place in history appeared on the horizon. So far, the ordinary-looking SUV had traversed the United States without incident. It had gone through tunnels and under overpasses. It circled roundabouts and stopped for traffic lights. Now, on the last day of a scheduled nine-day journey, it was poised to become the first autonomous car ever to complete a coast-to-coast road trip. First, it needed to contend with the Girard Point Bridge. Riding in a rear seat, "I saw that bridge coming, and I thought, 'Oh my gosh, this is going to be a grab-the-wheel moment," said Kathy Winter, vice president of software at Delphi Automotive. The car, an unassuming Audi SQ5 nicknamed Roadrunner, had been well-tested. Back in January, a few inebriated pedestrians fell flat in front of the car during a demonstration in Las Vegas. It was the quintessential worst-case scenario, and the car admirably hit the brakes. More than drunken louts, bridges present a sophisticated challenge for the six radar sensors that feed data to the car's internal processors. Instead of sensing solid objects, radar sensors can read the alternating bursts of steel beams and empty space as conflicting information. "They're a radar engineer's worst nightmare," said Jeff Owens, Delphi's chief technology officer. Girard Point Bridge, a blue skeleton of girded steel that spans the Schuylkill River, might be a bigger challenge than most. Traveling across the lower level of its double decks, the autonomous car's radar sensors had to discern between two full sets of trusses. Cross the Schuylkill, and Delphi's engineers felt confident they'd reach their destination: the New York Auto Show. For now, the sternest test of the trip lay directly in front of them. A Data-Mining Adventure Until that point, the toughest part of the journey had been finding an open gas station in El Paso, TX. Trust in the technology had already been established. The main reason Delphi set out on the cross-country venture with a team of six certified drivers and two support vehicles was to capture reams of data. What better way to do that than dusting off the classic American road trip and dragging it into the 21st century? They did exactly that, capturing three terabytes worth of data across 3,400 miles and 15 states.
