Up for auction is my 1999 audi a4 avant. This car has been nothing but great to me. Mechanically this car is perfect and needs nothing. I have owned this car for just around 15 months since 158k miles. I bought it from a friend that owned it for 3 years since 126k miles. I know all maintenance that has been done to this car for the last 4 years. The car is lowered on ST coilovers ($1700 new) and have around 30k on them. I am going to try and list everything done to the car, there is a lot. Interior is mint, one very tiny rip in driver seat and one burn in rear seat, no wrinkles! New redline leather shift boot. car has no lights on and DOES NOT LEAK ANY FLUIDS! Windshield is original and has a 4" crack near bottom. Little dent in driver door, no paint crack. Car cleans up extremely nice and always gets compliments. Car has never left me stranded and would not hesitate to drive anywhere. All fluid is up to date and car needs nothing (other than some exterior)

-35k miles on timing belt kit and accessory belt

-30k on track density engine mounts

-30k on ST coilover suspension ($1700)

-25k on both front axles (oem)

-7k on S4 OEM clutch, PP and light weight flywheel. rear main seal and clutch bleeder as also changed ($1200)

-6k miles on brakes (discs, pads, and rear calipers) $800

-15k miles on B&M short shifter and transmission fluid

-a6 fat fives wheels 17x8

-interior LED lighting

-leather hood bra

-one piece headlights with 6k HIDS

-S4 sideskirts

-S4 bumper (broken)

-magnaflow catback exhaust (quiet)

-pioneer headunit with ipod hookup in glovebox

-new lower rad hose and newer radiator (25k)

-new coolant and brake resouvoirs (and fluid)

Audi mechanic takes owner's S4 home for the weekend

When you bring your car to a dealer, you expect a technician to take it out for a spin, just to make sure there aren't any noises, rattles or other behavior that you may have missed. Maybe they run a few miles along a predetermined test route or take a quick run down the highway. You do not, however, expect a tech to abscond with you vehicle for a full weekend
That is just what happened to Chris Jackson, though, an Audi S4 owner in Calgary. His car was taken to Glenmore Audi - as mandated in his lease agreement - due to an issue with the navigation system. After realizing he'd left something in the car, he swung by the dealer on Saturday to pick it up, only to discover the car wasn't on the dealer's lot.
Naturally, he approached the dealer about the missing sedan.

New Audi Allroad Shooting Brake concept images leak out, next TT previewed?

The Detroit Auto Show media preview kicks off on Monday, which means the time is just about ripe for previously embargoed images and information to start leaking out onto the web in a major way. Case in point is this Allroad Shooting Brake from Audi, a seemingly close-to-production vehicle that may foreshadow the styling of the upcoming Audi TT, or hint at the looks of a Q1, or both.
The TT bit may seem far fetched, but we do know that Audi has used a small wagon concept to preview the design of an upcoming TT before - back in 2006 before the release of the gen-two car. We also fully anticipate the Q1 to be breaking cover sooner rather than later, so the safe money is that the concept closely resembles what that production vehicle will ultimately look like, though perhaps with a bit more height overall.
And, frankly, be it a TT or Q1 or both, we like what we're seeing. Sharp character lines on a rounded body form follow the idiom of the current TT rather nicely, while the big-wheels-at-all-corners stance plays into the sporting character we'd expect from any small Audi. Inside, we see the same Virtual Cockpit, MMI controller, and vents that we recently took in at CES, though with a slightly different steering wheel (with the starter button built right in). Tidy work here, too.
