Chassis No. BN4L041400
Includes British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate
The Ideal Driver Set up Nicely for Touring and Club Events
Well-Kept Professional Restoration with Fresh Mechanical Tune
Accompanied by an Extensive File of Restoration and Service Receipts
Complete with Spare Assembly, Weather Equipment & Tonneau Cover
Following on the heels of the tremendously successful Austin-Healey 100-Four, the 100-Six addressed a number of
concerns yet still remained unmistakably true to the Healey breed. A wider oval-shaped grille, a fashionable and
functional hood-scoop and a thoroughly revised interior gave the 100-series a visual upgrade, while a stretched
wheelbase, an optional overdrive fourth gear and a modified BMC C-Series inline six-cylinder engine helped boost
performance. The new availability of a pair of "occasional" jump seats in the BN4 2+2 models - the 100-Six was
still ideal for, in the words of period advertising, "either in competition or just for a family holiday spin."
Beautifully Presented Big Healey - The Ultimate 100-Six Driver
Still a highly capable open-top sports car today, this outstanding example presented here is what marque
enthusiasts would consider the ultimate 100-Six driver. According to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust,
41400 was completed on the 3rd of May 1957 as a LHD North American Export destined to the United States through New
York. The car came well equipped with chrome wire wheels, overdrive, heater and laminated windscreen.
A sunny California car, finished in red paintwork over tan appointments, this particular roadster was subjected to
a thorough and extensive rotisserie restoration completed in 2005. New equipment addressed during the restoration
included: a complete Connolly Leather interior upholstery, wool carpeting, 72-Spoke chrome wheels w/195/70 - R15
tires, Stay-fast Canvas Top and Tonneau Cover, side curtains, front disk brakes with power booster, springs &
shocks (front & rear), wire harness, brake lines, cables and virtually every available component on the vehicle!
Three point belts and third brake light add safety in modern traffic, while spare assembly and weather equipment
accompany the Healey. Additionally there is an extensive service and restoration file/binder that will accompany
the sale.
The drivability of this 100-Six is simply unmatched; during the restoration it was upgraded with a beautifully
worked 3000 Triple-Carbureted engine and drivetrain with Teflon bushing suspension, all dialed in with plenty test
miles under its belt. In the years following its restoration, the car has be successfully toured, shown, driven and
enjoyed extensively and is now ready for its next caretaker to continue the tradition.
Sporting a fresh tune and detailing, this beautifully presented "Big Healey" is the ideal candidate for enthusiasts
of the classic sporting lines, raw power and handling so unique to these period British machines.

Aston Martin Lagonda super sedan officially teased
Fri, Jul 25 2014Ask anyone who's anyone about Aston Martin and they'll tell you about exclusive and highly desirable two-door luxury GTs – the kind James Bond would drive – but it would be all too easy to forget about the other side of the equation. The company's full name is, after all, Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., but while the latter name is seldom used, it's about to make a rare comeback. The British automaker has just confirmed "strictly limited series production" of a new Lagonda saloon, previewed by the two teaser images you see here. The super sedan will be built in the same facility that previously produced the One-77 supercar at the Aston Martin factory in Gaydon and will be available in strictly limited quantities by invitation to select customers exclusively in the Middle East. Aston Martin has revealed precious few technical details of the new project, but the design clearly pays tribute to the iconically wedge-shaped 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda sedan designed by William Towns, with elements from the recent Zagato-designed Centennial editions evident as well. It will be based on Aston's ubiquitous VH platform that underpins just about everything it currently makes, and given the proliferation of the company's long-serving 6.0-liter V12 engine, we figure it's safe to say that'll provide the motivation as well, with at least the same 565-horsepower output as the Vanquish and the new V12 Vantage S Roadster, if not more. The announcement, of course, hardly comes as a surprise. Just a few months ago we spotted a disguised prototype for this very vehicle undergoing testing, and Aston has been toying with the idea of a Lagonda revival since the debut of the rather controversial Lagonda crossover concept at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show to mixed reviews. There was since talk of partnering with Mercedes-Benz to revive the Lagonda line along with Maybach, but that ultimately fell through – although the two are still collaborating in other areas, including the provision of a new line of engines and other technologies. Lagonda was originally founded independently in 1906, was acquired by legendary Aston chief David Brown in 1947 and has popped on and off the radar screen ever since. It remains unclear whether the new sedan will revive the Lagonda handle as a nameplate or as a separate brand, but you can delve into the press release below to read what Aston has confirmed thus far.
Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Koenigsegg Lego sets coming this summer
Sun, May 5 2024Lego has announced a slew of new automotive-themed sets. As is typical fashion for brand of building toys, the subject matter leans toward ultra-exotic, ultra-expensive vehicles, ranging from a $139,000 Mercedes SL63 on the low end to a $3 million Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut on the high end. If you can't afford those cars in real life, soon you'll be able to build your own plastic models of them. Some of the real-world counterparts aren't obtainable no matter what the cost. Take the Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo, for example. The one-off concept was designed by Lamborghini exclusively for Gran Turismo, the PlayStation racing simulator. However, Lamborghini did build a 1:1 version for the physical world, with the 808-horsepoewer hybrid V12 from the Sian FKP 37 beneath its bodywork. The Lego version is part of the company's Speed Champions line, which measure about 6 inches long. It does an excellent job of capturing the original's insectoid look and Y-shaped taillights. The set is made up of 230 pieces and will retail for $26.99. This is Lego's first Vision Gran Turismo car but we hope to see more. Also joining the Speed Champions line are two 2-car sets. An Aston Martin-themed set pairs a Vantage safety car with an AMR23 Formula 1 racer. Both are finished in AMR's bright green with actual sponsor logos. The set contains 564 pieces and will cost $44.99. Also arriving as a 2-car set are a pair of Mercedes-AMGs. A black G 63 and yellow SL 63 Roadster, along with a pair of sunglasses-clad bros, make up the 808-piece set. It also retails for $44.99. All three Speed Champions sets arrive on June 1, 2024. If you're looking for something a bit more advanced and detailed, Lego also offers the Technic line. First up is a Porsche GT4 e-Performance, a 1,000-horsepower race car based on the 718 Cayman. This set can also function as a remote controlled car that moves forward, backward, and steers via a downloadable smartphone app. The 834-piece set costs $169.99. Last but not least, there's the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, a model of the Swedish supercar that is said to have a top speed of over 300 mph. The model does an admirable job of capturing the car's 0.278 Cd drag coefficient, considering it's comprised of 801 individual plastic bricks. This set will retail for $49.99 and, along with the Porsche, comes out August 1, 2024. Related Video LEGO Speed Champion Build: 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback
