DESCRIPTION:

For Sale is my beautiful 2007 Aston Martin DB9 with factory Aston Martin CPO Warranty.  This DB9 has undergone a rigorous 4 hour inspection in order to be considered certified by Aston Martin.  This means you can actually enjoy driving the car instead of worrying about potential costly breakdowns.  This vehicle is fully loaded with every factory option including:
-Aluminum front grille
-Sports package (19" wheels, sport tuned suspension, 1" lowered ride height)
-Front skid plate (prevents damage to front fascia)
-Ventilated slotted front and rear brake rotors
-6 piston front and 4 piston red brake calipers
-Upgraded Lynn sound system with sub woofer
-"Clear skin" over rockers and rear quarter panels to protect against chips and scratches
-Contrast black/red leather interior
-Black piano wood accents
-Parking sensors
-Heated seats
-Navigation
-Bluetooth

This DB9 is also extremely rare as it comes with a 6 speed manuel transmission.  Less than 5% of all DB9's EVER made have the optional 6 speed manuel.  In my opinion, you cannot drive this car unless it's manuel, an automatic transmission simply does not do this car justice.

Additionally, this DB9 comes with full Aston Martin service history, and at this point does NOT require any maintenance for at least another year or 10k miles (whichever comes first).
-Oil and Filter service performed 6/2014
-Tires were changed 6,600 miles ago
-Brakes were changed 1,800 miles ago

Basically, this DB9 is ready to be a daily driver or can be parked in your living room as a work of art because it's in pristine showroom condition. Although I mostly drive the car on weekends, I have driven it several times to work from NJ to Manhattan where the roads differ greatly.  The DB9 feels comfortable in any setting and road surface.  The ride is never too stiff and has just enough modern creature comforts that you would never expect from a car that's nearly 7 years old or rather young!

I am selling the car simply because I need the money to fund a new business, additionally, as can be seen from the miles, I just have not had time to use the car as much as I hoped I would.  With that being said, I am not desperate to sell the car, however, I am negotiable on the price.  Similar DB9's that are NOT fully loaded, do NOT have the rare 6 speed manuel transmission, and certainly do NOT have the CPO Aston Martin Warranty have sold for my current asking price.  Hopefully, this car can go to a home that will love and cherish it as much as I have.

If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to see and drive the car please send me a message.  You MUST know how to drive a manuel if you would like to test drive the car!

Gold-plated Aston Martin DB5 model sells for $90k

Mon, Sep 22 2014

Classic Aston Martins sell for big bucks at auction. So this news of a DB5 selling for a princely sum hardly comes as a surprise. But the model in question wasn't an actual DB5. It was a scale model. Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary James Bond film Goldfinger, this 1:3 scale replica of the DB5 that Sean Connery drove in the movie was plated in 24-karat gold and signed by Sir Ken Adam, who designed the modified movie prop. Created by Propshop at Pinewood Studios, the model comes complete with radio-controlled machine guns, bulletproof shield and rotating license plate – just like the one in the movie. After registering interest from some 19,000 viewers from 129 countries, the model sold online for GBP55,000 ($90k) to one Mr. Robert Tyrrell, an English farmer and Bond fan. Proceeds benefit the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Aston Martin DB5 Model Sells for GBP55,000 in Online Charity Auction 17 September 2014 - Tonight, on the 50th anniversary of the World Premiere of Goldfinger, a unique 24k gold-plated third scale replica of James Bond's iconic Aston Martin DB5 was sold in a special online sale to benefit the NSPCC by Christie's and EON Productions for GBP55,000. It was bought by a farmer from Abingdon in Oxfordshire and was among the highlights of the five lots which made a total of GBP136,800 for the charity. The model was created by Propshop at Pinewood Studios and signed by legendary Bond Production Designer Sir Ken Adam. Bidding closed online this evening during an event in London's West End attended by Bond girl Shirley Eaton. Complete with radio controlled machine guns, bullet proof shield and revolving number plate, interest in the sale came from Bond fans around the world with more than 19,000 visitors from 129 countries to the special www.christies.com/goldfinger site. The buyer, Mr. Robert Tyrrell from Steventon, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire, an arable farmer with a collection of classic cars, said after his winning bid tonight: "I saw it at Goodwood this weekend and said 'I'll be having that!'. I am a Bond man, the first movie I saw was Thunderball and I was more than happy to support this worthy cause." A unique Goldfinger Seamaster 'Aqua Terra' wristwatch created by Omega to celebrate the anniversary of the film surpassed the pre-sale estimate ten times when it sold for GBP70,000.

Aston Martin says Alabama is 'obvious choice' for US plant

Wed, May 20 2015

Aston Martin is gearing up to be the next foreign automaker to build an assembly plant in the United States – and it looks like it'll be in Alabama. Speaking with Automotive News Europe, company CEO Andy Palmer said that he and his team will make a decision on the prospect of building its second factory, and that the Yellowhammer State was the "obvious choice" for its location. The possibility first came up on our radar last month, after Aston reportedly held discussions with representatives of state governments in the South. The plant would be earmarked to handle production of the DBX. Slated to be the company's first crossover, it was previewed in concept form at the Geneva show in March. "Our principal customers will be in the United States and China," Palmer said to ANE. However, the US would apparently be preferable to building a plant in China, from which it would be more difficult to export vehicles to other markets and where Aston would need to form a joint venture with a local manufacturer. The prospect of building its plant in the same state where Mercedes builds its SUVs would offer certain advantages as well: Aston has inked a deal with the German automaker to supply some systems and components. The British automaker has also long-been rumored to be considering building a crossover based on the same platform as the GL-Class (soon to be redubbed GLS), although that may or may not take the form of the DBX. Aston Martin is working toward ramping up production from the 4,000 units it sold last year to as many as 15,000. "If we went to three shifts" at the current plant in Gaydon, said Palmer, "we would be at 15,000 a year, so theoretically we could do it but you'd have no room for stoppage for maintenance. Watch some vintage F1 cars blast up a Japanese mountain road

Mon, Dec 28 2015

It's a rare treat to see classic Formula One cars racing anywhere, but watching them on a Japanese mountain road is absolutely sublime. The folks behind Motorhead from Japan took over the toll road's twisting stretch of tarmac to turn this impossible dream into a reality. The unusual opportunity of a closed mountain road would be a waste for only two vehicles, and there were plenty of drivers in amazing machines that wanted to blast up the hill. After the vintage F1 cars got their turn, some drifters in a Nissan GT-R and a Toyota GT86 added some tire smoke to the misty mountain air. A couple more GT-R racecars and some modern sports cars eventually joined them. Before the rain hit, this team had quite a party going on. This video features amazing camera work, but the music unfortunately drowns out the chance to hear these amazing racecars. If watching this leaves you wanting more, Motorhead released a video last year of another group of impressive performance vehicles on the mountain road.
