2007 Aston Martin DB9 V-12 Volante Convertible 450 H.P. 11,000 Miles 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante 2-Door Convertible
Vehicle Description 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Convertible 6.0 Liter V12 / 450 Horsepower 6 Speed Automatic / Navigation / Parking Sensors Mike's Place is proud to offer this 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Convertible. The MSRP on this vehicle was over $180,000. Here is your chance to own this car for a lot less. The vehicle history report shows the mileage as accurate. Carfax does show this car was involved in some kind of accident on 1/19/12. I did not own this car in 2012 and have no way of knowing what kind of damage was done. The title is 100% clean. Reason to buy a Southern California car.............No Rust! Many vehicles from other states experience a rather hard life dealing with harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, hail, salt roads and cold weather cause all kinds of issues both mechanically and cosmetically. So a California car may appeal to you. The 2007 Voante's top speed is no longer restricted to 165 mph. Aston Martin says the Volante's maximum speed is now 186 mph. The DB9's 6.0-liter V-12 produces 450 hp and 420 pounds-feet of torque. The ZF six-speed automatic transmission uses buttons to select Drive, Park, Neutral and Reverse. A Touchtronic manual mode permits gear changes using paddles behind the steering wheel. The DB9 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The snug fabric roof is extremely well insulated, features a heated rear window, is fully power-operated and in just seventeen seconds, it will disappear beneath a solid hard tonneau cover that sits flush with the bodywork. Sensors can detect a potential rollover and deploy twin roll-bar hoops. Aston Martin says the windshield pillars can withstand twice the car's body weight. New for 2007, the Volante has new seats that incorporate standard head and thorax airbags, dual-stage heating and twin lumbar adjustment. The seats can be programmed to remember three separate settings. The interior is in really nice condition. The leather seats look very good. Both power seats function properly. The dash is in great condition. All the gauges seem to function properly and the digital display looks great. There are no check engine light or warning lights on of any kind. I tried all the buttons located on the dash and door panels and everything seemed to function properly. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works. The door panels are all in great shape and all the power windows work properly. The radio works and the speakers sound great. We help transport about 90% of our cars sold. 2020 Aston Martin Vantage Road Test | Old-school road trip in a new-school Aston
Tue, May 26 2020Our roads may be virtually empty, with Americans all cooped up and nowhere to go. But with jet planes and TSA lines looking iffy and icky for the foreseeable future, the great American road trip is poised to reclaim its preeminence in travel. To test that post-pandemic theory, in a purely theoretical way, I requisition a 2020 Aston Martin Vantage for a daytrip from New York to the Catskills. It’s the kind of high-character “import” sports car that once defined the breed, before corporate imperatives watered the character down. AstonÂ’s two-seater is nakedly beautiful, flawed-yet-fabulous, and expensive as hell. But if you drive the Vantage and donÂ’t fall head-over-loafers, IÂ’d accuse you of not caring for sports cars at all. ItÂ’s as alive and engaging as any sports car out there, a 509-horsepower firecracker that rewards skilled drivers – or dings them for mistakes – in defiance of the trend toward all-wheel-drive automatons. As for the Catskills, itÂ’s in the midst of its own explosive comeback. This rough-hewn mountain region, a convenient two hours north of Manhattan, was once the prime vacation destination of the Northeast, so popular in the late 19th century that a 1,200-room luxury hotel was required just to gaze at some waterfalls, with guests including U.S. presidents and Oscar Wilde. Through the 1950s and 60s, it continued to be the pipeline to nature for Jewish families and other northeast tourists. Their summer camps and sprawling “Borscht Belt” resorts and nightclubs mythologized in films like Dirty Dancing and now televisionÂ’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which has fetishized Catskills nostalgia to a truly marvelous degree. Then came airline travel, and affordable tickets to Miami Beach and other exotic warm-weather locales. Like a Palm Springs of the east, the Catskills fell into steep decline. The region became a punch line of corny kitsch. As with Palm Springs, fashion has come full circle: The Catskills and adjacent Hudson Valley are red-hot again, rediscovered by Brooklynites especially as a magical spot for affordable second homes, or permanent moves to open farm-to-table restaurants, curated antique shops and other bastions of rustic hip. The Vantage lures me from coronavirus lockdown like a movie idol waving outside my Brooklyn window, for a cannon-shot recon run to Woodstock.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Drivers' Notes Review | English style, German heart
Tue, Oct 16 2018Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — The Vantage continues Aston Martin's evolution as a modern sports- and supercar maker. This machine feels special. It's gorgeous and translates Aston's design language effectively. It sounds intoxicating. I blasted around Detroit's sleepy suburbs one chilly night and felt a bit like James Bond. The AMG-sourced V8 is well-calibrated and works smoothly with the eight-speed automatic. Pulling the paddles is obviously fun. The steering returned proper feedback with adequate weight. The chassis is tight but not abusive. Considering the Vantage has so much power and technical prowess, it's still imminently drivable. I was comfortable almost immediately, and it's the kind of car that left me feeling satisfied and wanting more. That's the essence of Aston. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Synder — The V8 Vantage holds a special place in my heart, and my heart was beating faster just looking at it in our parking lot. It's a gorgeous car, and it stands up to close inspection. I love the detail, the colors, the look of the materials and how they accentuate the car's design. That attention to detail is even more pronounced inside the car, where there's something interesting going on everywhere you look, including the headliner. Driving the car is a lot calmer than you might expect. Yeah, it's fast and a bit stiff, but not jarringly so. The AMG V8 and eight-speed transmission work wonders together. The acceleration is smooth and linear, with shifts happening in an instant, and without drama. Plus, I love the giant paddle shifters mounted on the steering column. They're thin, but extremely long, and they're always right where you expect them to be when you reach out with your finger. There were just a couple things that stood out to me as imperfect. On the infotainment interface on the center tunnel, the control wheel is tucked away, which helps keep you from accidentally bumping it, but makes it a little awkward to use. The other thing was that the whole driver seat moved around underneath me. I'm sure Aston saved some weight with these seats, but this didn't feel very securely attached to the floor. I forgot about both of those things as I found my way out of traffic and onto some curvy roads. This thing builds and carries a ton of speed with ease. And as good as it looks in its natural state of motion, this car was turning heads — and cellphones — when prowling through the parking lot.
