The body colour is red.
Yours, Sincerely,

This Spider has been professionally converted to Dual Weber 40 DCOE Carburators that add to reliability and performance. In addition, this car was equipped with PC452 Street Performance Camshafts from Centerline. It is very quick and keeps pulling all the way to the top. I'm not sure of the top speed as the needle goes well beyond the speedometer's final marking. Facet electronic fuel pump with built-in fuel filter has been installed in the location of the stock unit. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes and a Limited Slip Differential. I also installed a new custom exhaust from the mid pipe back with catalytic delete.
Interior: It is in very good, almost excellent condition. The dash has NO cracks whatsoever as the car has been garage kept. Top is in excellent, near new shape with clear rear window. The top folds up and down with just one hand. Seats are in very good shape with no tears, few dirt spots which is typical for light colored convertible interiors. They recline, adjust and go back and forth on tracks perfectly. Carpets are factory original molded set in good shape. Trunk has the factory carpeting with an original battery cover.
Steering wheel wood and shifter are matching shades of wood and are very good. Center console is clean and tight. There's no radio but these cars sound so beautiful you would never use it anyway.
Body: I bought the car with minor rust in the right fender and a ding in the nose that was repaired at a professional shop in Pasadena, California with an excellent color tint and match. There are few nicks on the paint but the body is straight. Underside is dry and clean.
Tires are in almost new condition and are mounted on model correct Turbina wheels.
Electricals: All gauges are operational. All lights work, including side marker lights, hi/lo beams, turnsignals, etc. Interior turn signal indicator bulb burnt out. I checked the leads with a tester and all it needs is a replacement bulb. Wipers work on low and high.
This car does not overheat even in the LA traffic. It has been my daily driver and I tend to put over 70 miles per day. Car tracks straight. Brakes are good. Recent oil change using Valvoline Synthetic VR1 oil and K&N filter.
So, then why am I selling such a great Alfa Spider? I need something with more than just one passenger seat. As such, I am willing to let go of my Spider and find an early Berlina or Giulia. In fact, I am open to barter for a very clean one.
I am listing the car in auction format but also with BIN price. As a bonus for BIN buyer, I will include a 74 Serie 2 Spider complete but not running. The 74 comes with the highly desirable steel front and rear bumpers, factory exhaust header, earlier door trim panels and other trim items. It is mechanically complete as well and is rolling on Cromodora Daytona factory alloys. It has a straight body but with some rust. Overall its a restoration worth its while as the early Serie 2 Spiders are climbing in price or you can use the bumpers and the rest of the rare early pieces to complement the 79. The 74 is included at the BIN price ONLY.
Please note that this is 34 year old car and even though it looks and runs great it is not represented as new or as restored. Please feel free to ask any question or request additional photos. The car is listed on sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time!
Special word to scammers: Please do not bother here. This is not my first sale over the internet so if you are not physically present, work on an oil rig, doubled over in a remote hospital or came into a fortune that you would need access to except without my help, please DON'T bother! I will pursue scams to the full extent that Ebay allows!

Alfa Romeo range-topping sports car confirmed for 2023 debut
Fri, Aug 19 2022Alfa Romeo's on-again, off-again range-topping sports car is back in the pipeline. Company boss Jean-Philippe Imparato confirmed that a two-door flagship is on track to make its debut in 2023 as a concept whose exterior design will draw inspiration from historic models. "You will see something in that field in terms of sportiness in the first half of 2023. We use one word to define the brand, and it's 'sportiness,'" the executive told British magazine Autocar. He's previously voiced his support for bringing back the dormant GTV and Duetto nameplates. Imparato added that the yet-unnamed model will borrow styling cues from the Tipo 33, though he didn't specify which version of the car he has in mind. Alfa raced several evolutions of the Tipo 33 from 1966 to 1977, and it sold 18 units of a Franco Scaglione-designed supercar with a mid-mounted engine called 33 Stradale (pictured) between 1967 and 1969. We're guessing it's the latter that will provide inspiration. Numerous points remain up in the air, like what will power the car. "For the moment, I have two scenarios: full ICE or full EV," he revealed to Autocar. Regardless, the model "will be very exciting, very selective, and very expensive." It sounds like production will be limited. We're about four months away from 2023, so we won't have to wait long to discover the concept that Alfa Romeo is working on. Executives have toyed with the idea of adding a sportier model to the range for several years, but they have never pulled the trigger. Imparato explained in 2021 that the brand wouldn't release another two-door car until it increased its sales in more mainstream segments of the market. What's changed since then is unclear; the Tonale unveiled in February 2022 is the only new Alfa Romeo released since. (A Dodge Hornet badge-engineered version of the Tonale was revealed this week.) Traveling further back, in 2018 former Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) boss Sergio Marchionne announced that the 8C and GTV names would make a comeback on a pair of coupes. The former was presented as having a carbon fiber chassis and 700 horsepower thanks to a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain built around a mid-mounted turbocharged V6. The latter was also planned as a hybrid, but it would have offered drivers 600 horsepower, and a sketch made it look like a two-door version of the Giulia sedan. Both cars were canned by 2019. 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia First Drive | All about the little things
Tue, Nov 19 2019ALBEROBELLO, Italy – Little things can make a big difference. And for the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia, it's the little things that have been addressed, those that have been causing reviewers to kvetch and customers to look elsewhere. The cupholders that cause bottles to bang into the HVAC controls. The shifter and knobs made of cheap plastic that wobble about in your hand. The backwoods entertainment system that makes an Audi's look like it's been beamed in from the far-flung future. The big things? They've been left untouched, almost entirely for the best. The Giulia's exceptional driving credentials have been well-documented with multiple awards and much gushing about divine steering and an astute chassis. For 2020, they're unchanged apart from some imperceptible tweaks to the steering that iron out an occasional low-speed refinement issue. Even when driven on the regrettably non-winding roads of southern Italy's "heel," the Giulia continues to come across as something different and special. That steering is pleasingly quick and full of feeling, friendly to both those who yearn for man-machine connection and those who'd rather not get an upper body workout when parking at Kroger. The Giulia feels light and playful, with a stiff chassis and adeptly tuned suspension. When people talk about sport sedans losing their edge (cough BMW 3 Series), it can still be found in the Giulia. At the same time, the adaptive dampers available in the Ti trim's Performance package impressively sops up nasty bumps, of which there are a great many around Italy's heel (AKA Puglia). Cars with such a sporting "edge" are often given a pass when it comes to ride quality, as a sore back and kidneys bruised by the seat bolsters are considered par for the course. The Giulia needs no such handicap. If there's a meh moment, it's the engine. Much is rightly made about the Quadrifoglio's 2.9-liter turbo V6 derived from Ferrari and possibly divine intervention. By contrast, the standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four doesn't offer much in the way of zest. Oh, its 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque are class-leading, and its 5.1-second estimated 0-60 time is exceptional. In sound, however, it's just another turbo-four, and most disappointingly, its 5,500-rpm redline is a real buzzkill. It's not exactly diesel-like, but it's close.
Alfa Romeo cancels plans for Giulia wagon to focus on Stelvio development
Thu, Feb 9 2017Automotive enthusiasts can talk all day long about the benefits of wagons over their respective crossover stablemates, but despite our protestations the case for the wagon seems to fall on deaf ears, especially in America. That seems to be the reason cash-strapped automaker Alfa Romeo has nixed any plans for a wagon variant of the new Giulia. According to Car, Alfa manufacturing chief Alfredo Altavilla believes the company can engineer the Stelvio SUV to drive as well as a Giulia wagon would – so no need for both. Porsche has shown with the Cayenne and the Macan that an SUV can be an excellent performance machine. That being said, as good as performance crossovers have shown themselves to be, the higher weight and center of gravity puts them at a fundamental disadvantage to a wagon. Killing the Giulia wagon is disappointing, but it's a pure business move. The company needs to focus on expanding it's lineup, not building variants of already existing models. Alfa is hoping to boost sales into the hundreds of thousands, and building a low-volume performance station wagon is not the way to do it. Despite the loss of the wagon, rumors persist that a two-door version of the Giulia is set to debut in Geneva. Related Video:
