As stated in my condition description this is a project vehicle that runs but needs some cosmetic repairs and restoration. It's a 1988 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Spider bought new by it's single owner. Unfortunately he passed and the car sat for many years so there are some areas that have been attacked by rust. The front left and right fenders are pretty rusted out along with the valance in front of the wind shield (however I have a brand new one in black that can be painted red to match that will be included in the sale). Also the spare tire carrier has rusted out and needs repair. I have taken pictures of all the bad spots and pretty much every point of the car.

The motor, transmission, coolant and fuel system has been completely flushed and put back to its original working order. Two new fuel pumps and a new fuel filter was installed prior to start up. Yes, the car does run, but the clutch hydraulic system has lost pressure which I am assuming would be caused by a bad slave cylinder, and the buyer should be advised that it needs to be properly looked over to ensure it is road worthy. The soft top does not leak, but because it has been outside for many years it has seeped moisture inside and the carpet now needs to be completely vacuumed and steam cleaned. The dash and other accessories are in perfect "like new" condition and the car is equipped with a special edition steering wheel. I do have a hard top that we had bought at one point that IS NOT included but will sell for $500. The soft top frame needs a little work as its hard to move up and down. The overall condition can be seen by my pictures, but if you need any more please let me know.

It was once a fun, great running car, I remember driving in it as a little kid. With only 46, 400 original miles this Alpha defiantly still has a chance to be a fully restored and put back on the road. This is being sold as is and all shipping costs will be paid by the buyer. I will help on my end to ensure safe delivery. Shipping costs are estimated to be anywhere from $500-800 if you are in the United States. I will work with the buyer to arrange shipping carriers or local pickup.

If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to message me.

Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spider is a beauty in blue

Sun, Feb 28 2016

Be still our beating hearts. The beautiful blue sportscar you see above is the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spider. It's the latest work from Italian design house Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary. As you can see, it's a work of art, but what you can't see is that, like the hardtop version that came before it, this car is actually based on the bones of an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. That means it's bound to be a rare beast, since only 500 8C coupes and 500 8C Spiders were ever built. Apparently, just seven of these droptops are planned, and each one will be painted in a different color. The hue we see on the car that's debuting at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show is called Blue Ceruleo, which we figure pretty much means Sky Blue. Here's hoping at least one comes in a green scheme similar to the one shown off at Geneva back in 2014. We don't have any details about what powers the Disco Volante Spider, but we'd guess it uses the same 4.7-liter V8 and six-speed semi-automatic transmission that powered all the original 8C models. That would mean 444 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, a 0-60 run 4-ish seconds and a top speed of around 180 miles per hour. But the actual performance seems mostly superfluous to the Disco Volante Spider's real mission, which is to look pretty. You'll want to check out our image gallery for more close-up shots. And if you just can't get enough, it seems that someone with early access to the show floor in Geneva smuggled in a camera. Check out the video above. Alfa Romeo Stelvio caught testing under the cloak of darkness

Tue, Oct 11 2016

With Americans still going crazy over compact SUVs and crossovers, the upcoming Alfa Romeo Stelvio is the Italian automaker's latest attempt at regaining its status as a household name in the US. Photographers managed to capture a prototype testing at night with very little camouflage to hide the SUV's overall design. These photos are the clearest ones we've seen of the upcoming SUV. The prototype's front end is extremely similar to the Giulia's with two oval-shaped outlets on the side of the fascia with a v-shaped grille in the center. The headlights, which are surrounded by black tape, also mimic the units found on the Giulia. The ruffles in the camouflage on the hood suggest that the Stelvio gets a pair of vents. The profile of the crossover is much more round than previous prototypes depicted with the overall shape mimicking the Jaguar F-Pace, but much smaller in size. The taillights, surprise, surprise, also resemble the same ones found on the Giulia. There's no way to know what type of engine is powering the Stelvio prototype, but the two tailpipes and skinny tires point toward something much more subdued than the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 that puts out 505 horsepower in the Giulia Quadrifoglio. We expect the production version of the crossover to get the same gasoline and diesel options as the Giulia, depending on where the vehicle is sold. The Stelvio – and this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone – looks like a larger, taller Giulia. While the prototype looks ghastly with its camouflage, we expect, and hope, that the SUV will look a lot better at its debut, which could take place at next month's Los Angeles Motor Show.
