Up for sale is a black 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider with 105000 miles!

Exterior: The color of the car is black and paint condition is 7 out of 10. The car has a few scratches but the body is clean and I do not see any major accidents in the car.

Interior: The car has a black interior (I am not sure if this is leather or vinyl) the passenger seat is good but the driver seat has some tears in the center piece as you can see in the picture.
The dash has some cracks as you see in the photos. The carpet is in good shape but it does need a little cleaning. The convertible top is in a very good condition (it was replaced two years ago).
All the glass, trim, and lights are in very good condition. In total the condition of the interior is 7 out of 10.

Mechanics: The car has a 4 cylinder fuel injection engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission are in good condition. I drove around my warehouse for about 10 miles without problems. The car has an engine guard! The exhaust is good, there are no leaks anywhere. The suspension is also in good shape! In total the condition of the interior is 8 out of 10.

Electrical: From what I see, everything works well except the high beam light (It can be do to the bulb or the switch). All the gauges work except the odometer which the previous owner said has not been working for the past year. The car has been driven less then 2000 miles sense. The car also has a security system.
The rims and tires are in fair shape. I would give the tires 70%.

The problems: The A/C does not work ( when I hit the switch, the compressor runs. So I think it just needs Freon R-12). The door lock has some issues, it sometimes does not lock. The odometer is not working. The drover seat has some tears. One of the rims has a small curb rash (no bend).

I am not an Alfa Romeo expert, this was a car that I got out of a tried and I don't know a lot about this car. But I have a very reasonable reserve compared to other ones that I have seen like this. In total the car is not in a perfect condition but with some attention it can be.

I am more experienced in BMWs and Mercedes. I do not have much knowledge in Italian cars.

This car has low milage for this typical model. This car has always been taken care of.
This car is 26 years old and has been driven for around 5000 miles a year!!
I have a very reasonable reserve price!! If you like more pics please send me your email and ill send them to you! I would be happy to have anyone come and check out the car! The car is at my storage in manassas va! THE CAR IS ASIS!
Bid with confidence!! I am a 100% positive feedback Ebay member. You can check my seller feedback!
IF you have 0 or negative feedback please contact me before you place a bid, or I am going to cancel your bid!
If you are going to place a bid, please be sure of it!

Alfa Romeo Milano EV teased in camo ahead of April reveal

Wed, Jan 24 2024

The Alfa Romeo Milano is officially set to be revealed on April 10 this year as the Italian company’s first fully-electric vehicle. In addition to a reveal date, AlfaÂ’s given us some photos to pore over and get an idea of what the Milano will look like when the wrappings are taken off. For starters, though, donÂ’t get too excited about the prospect of buying one. The Milano is expected to be sold in Europe and perhaps other international markets, but not in the U.S. ItÂ’s said to be related to the Jeep Avenger, which is another small EV we donÂ’t get on this side of the pond. Just like the Avenger, the Milano is a small subcompact crossover that appears to be one size smaller than the Tonale, which is sold here. Alfa promises that itÂ’s taking this project just as seriously as any from a dynamics perspective, though, touting that engineers from projects like the 4C, 8C and Giulia/Stelvio Quadrifoglio are ensuring the Milano lives up to AlfaÂ’s high standards through testing at its Balocco test track.  If we ever get to drive it, weÂ’ll be sure to test AlfaÂ’s claims that it will be the best in its class for dynamics and handling. As for the design, the Milano is a stubby little SUV with what appears to be a fairly strongly raked rear window. The camo in front only does so much to cover up AlfaÂ’s traditionally triangular trefoil grille. Its wheel and tire package is shockingly big for such a small vehicle as it wears massive 20-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport EV performance tires. Despite the Milano launching as an EV, itÂ’s expected to offer gasoline variants, too. We analyze the possible powertrain options in our most recent report about the Milano, but all of our questions should be answered in April this year, so stay tuned for news on the first electric Alfa. Mazda engineers urging execs for more RWD models

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

According to Edmunds, Mazda engineers are pressuring the company to create more rear-wheel-drive models, in an effort to better differentiate itself from its rivals. This push is reportedly coming from middle and senior engineers within the company, and these folks at Mazda believe this rear-drive strategy would allow the automaker to produce more distinctive, fun to drive cars. Mazda discontinued the rear-drive (and rotary-engined) RX-8 a few years ago, leaving the MX-5 Miata as the company's only RWD offering.
As enthusiasts, we're fully on board with Mazda offering more rear-drive cars, but unsurprisingly, the company's top management isn't exactly keen on the idea - and with good reason. First and foremost, the cost associated with redesigning fresh architecture for new models would be very high, and considering the fact that Mazda hasn't exactly been raking in the dough lately, an expensive new venture like this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. What's more, Mazda's latest front-drive models - the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5 - have been very well-received, and are helping the company gain sales momentum.
But that doesn't mean there aren't other options. Edmunds reminds us that Mazda is already partnering with Alfa Romeo on the next-generation Miata, and if this collaboration is successful, perhaps the relationship could bear additional fruit. After all, Alfa Romeo is said to be working on returning to its rear-wheel-drive roots, so Mazda's engineers might be able to make a case for more RWD goodness after all.

Alfa Romeo shows off Giulia and Stelvio GT Junior special editions

Tue, Oct 19 2021

Alfa Romeo has announced a pair of new special editions commemorating the 1966 GT 1300 Junior. The Giulia and Stelvio GT Junior series are only available in Europe, and were inspired by the beloved predecessor to the legendary GTV. The Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior was part of a larger series of coupes from the 105 and 115 family. Built on a shortened Giulia chassis of the same era, lightweight aluminum-bodied GTAs and GTVs became a force in road racing, as well as GTC cabriolets and versions modified by carrozzerias. Possessing all the style of the Giugiaro-penned top-spec versions but with a less powerful engine and more affordable price tag, the GT 1300 Junior was by far the best seller of the range. It was a bona fide hit, and Alfa Romeo moved over 90,000 units from 1966-76. As the name suggests, the GT 1300 Junior had a 1.3 liter four-banger. Its 89 horsepower was delivered through a five-speed manual to the rear wheels. Weighing only a little over 2,000 pounds, its excellent handling helped make it an iconic model for the Alfa Romeo brand. To evoke the GT 1300 Junior, the Giulia and Stelvio have been dipped in an exclusive gold color called Lipari Ochre, a modern take on one of the GT 1300 Junior's most memorable hues. Both modern Alfas come with five-hole wheels, 19 inches on the Giulia and 21 inches on the Stelvio. There are no performance modifications to either vehicle. The Giulia and Stelvio come with either a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine making 210 horsepower or a petrol 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder generating 280 horsepower. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic via a carbon-fiber driveshaft. The Giulia can be optioned with a rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive drivetrain, while the Stelvio comes only in AWD flavor. Alfa Romeo says the GT Junior editions are the third in a trilogy of special editions that began with the 500-unit and wildly be-spoilered Giulia GTAm that debuted in May. That sold out almost immediately, and was followed by 6C Villa d’Este editions of the Giulia and Stelvio paying homage to 1949 6C 2500 SS. The company hasn't said how many units of the GT Junior will be sold, but they won't be coming to the U.S. anyway. Related video:
