Leaks a few drops of oil per week from the lower oil pan gasket. This is an easy/cheap fix. Needs original oval chrome side view mirrors ($60/each on ebay)"

I bought this car to restore it but while adjusting the valves my condo association had other ideas about me working on it in the carport and threatened to fine me if i work on it anymore. Since I bought it 3 months ago to restore it, I need to pass her on to someone else to finish what i've started.

New Parts/Repairs:
  • New Oil Vapor Separator
  • New Fuel and Oil Hoses
  • New Door Handle (Needs installation)
  • Valves adjusted
NO RUST. California car. Always garaged.

Runs great. Can cruise along at 90MPH on the freeway no problem. I drive it on the weekends on Pacific Coast Highway and always get looks and compliments. Lots of car for the money.

Steering and handling is amazing. Car is super fun to drive around.

 EVERYTHING WORKS

UPDATE:

Someone asked about the repairs I wanted to do. Pretty typical old car/old alfa stuff.  Here's what I was working

1. Mirror isnt original, wanted to install new original ones like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/24547000-Side-Mirror-Cross-and-Serpent-Embossing-1969-Alfa-Romeo-Spider-/121136740316

2. minor oil leaks: lower oil pan, few drops a week--ive been told this is typical. Leak on the dipstick holder (i changed hoses so not that)

3. Tune up. has old spark plugs and the fuel pressure modulator and idle should be dialed in. i'll do these adjustments before the sale. I adjusted to be sure that it would pass smog without any problems but I think its running too rich now. hasnt had an oil change since ive had her.

4. switch door handle for new one (included)

5. pulley or belt squeaks sometimes. This was my next project when I was interdicted by the condo association nazis.

6. stereo is a sucky cassette player. antenna doesnt go up automatically (have to lift it up) speakers are decent.

PICTURES OF CLEANER INTERIOR, TRUNK AND UNDERCARRIAGE COMING SOON.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV to lead Italians' EV charge in 2026

Fri, Apr 7 2023

Stepping up its commitment toward electric mobility, Alfa Romeo’s chief executive CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato says that the second-generation Stelvio SUV will arrive with electric power in 2026 to replace the current model, and be followed a year later with a large EV sedan. As reported by BritainÂ’s Autocar, the Mk2 StelvioÂ’s design wonÂ’t change much, but the underpinnings will adopt the so-called STLA platform, which is part of Alfa ownerÂ’s StellantisÂ’ range announced a couple of years ago. For the 2024 model year, both the Guilia sedan and the Stelvio will continue with gas power before the switch to electric, and will receive one final refresh before then, said senior VP Larry Dominique. The Italians have also added what Dominique called “buzz models”: the Estrema and the Lusso and Competizione editions. On the subject of extended range for the EVs, Imparato mentioned that the Guilia successor would likely offer up to 435 miles on one charge. Given that the upcoming saloon and SUV will share a platform with the Giulia, they will most likely share its fundamental drivetrain offering too. Alfa has also suggested that the 500-plus horsepower Quadrofoglio will eventually evolve into an electric variant of the Guilia, pumping out a possible overachieving 1,000 horsepower. A new plug-in hybrid SUV called Tonale, a bit smaller than the Stelvio, is due shortly at dealers in the U.S. Related video:

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.

Watch Alfa Romeo reveal its mid-engine supercar here live

Wed, Aug 30 2023

This gorgeous red supercar is the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. The name “33” has several references, the first being to the design, as this new 33 Stradale borrows from the famous Tipo 33. Secondly, Alfa is only producing 33 examples of this supercar, and all of them are already sold. The powertrain strategy for the 33 Stradale is perhaps the most interesting part of it, as buyers can choose between a twin-turbo V6 and a fully electric version. AlfaÂ’s gas-powered 33 Stradale produces 620 horsepower, is shifted via an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox and puts its power down exclusively to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip differential. Its top speed is 206 mph, and the 0-62 mph time is “less than three seconds.” The engine itself is said to be a derivative of the Ferrari-developed V6 you find under the hood of the Alfa Quadrifoglio models. The battery-electric 33 Stradale produces “more than 750 horsepower” and goes 0-62 mph in under 2.5 seconds, but Alfa isnÂ’t saying much else about the powertrain. We presume it will be all-wheel drive due to multiple electric motors being necessary. Range is currently estimated at 280 miles on the optimistic WLTP test cycle. The platform is a combination aluminum H-frame and carbon fiber monocoque that shares plenty with the Maserati MC20, and the roof is engineered with the same materials, supporting the butterfly doors. A front-axle lift system comes standard, and you also get a drive mode selector to choose between Strada (road) and Pista (track). Launch control is activated via a “Quadrifoglio” button. Big Brembo carbon ceramic brakes do the stopping, with six-piston calipers in front and four-piston units in the rear. While there may be a lot underneath that is shared with the MC20, its design is pure Alfa Romeo. Its interior is just as impressive as the beautiful exterior, too. The controls in the center stack are all about physical engagement, as they feature the most beautiful design that just makes us want to turn, twist and toggle them. Above that rests a widescreen touch display powered by Uconnect5 in a similar layout as the MC20. The cluster features a “3D telescope display,” which Alfa claims is the first of its kind. Plus, the steering wheel purposefully doesnÂ’t have a single button on it for maximum driving enjoyment.
