WOW LOOK AT THIS! VERY RARE 1971 ALFA ROMEO 1750 SPIDER CONVERTIBLE CALIFORNIA CAR! THIS CAR IS VERY DESIRABLE WITH THE HIGHLY SOUGHT-AFTER "CAM TAIL" AND FEATURES MECHANICAL FUEL INJECTION! THIS CAR SHOWS JUST OVER 82k ON A WORKING ODOMETER.
The car was a barn-find, found a few years ago. Since that time, the owner spent lots of time and money on the car to make mechanically-sound and good looking. Here is some of the work that has been done:
- NEW PAINT
- NEW TOP
- NEW BRAKES
- NEW CALIPERS
- NEW ROTORS
- NEW PLUGS/WIRES
- NEW DISTRIBUTOR CAP
- NEW CONDENSER
- NEW POINTS
- NEW FUEL & AIR FILTER
- RECONDITIONED RADIATOR
- NEWER TIRES
- NEWER BATTERY
The car looks great with the candy apple red exterior paint that has one heck of a shine! Mechanically, the car is very sound...it shifts great and rides excellent.
To make the car perfect, there are some small items that will need addressed. The center gauge cluster does not work (above the radio), the seats have rips, the passenger door handle is missing. There are also a few dents here and there on the car, but nothing major. All-in-all, this is a very fine example of a rare Alfa Romeo from the period.
The car came from California and looks very good underneath. This is not a rust bucket - it has much potential for a restoration or drive it as-is and have yourself a FUN LITTLE DRIVER!

On May-26-13 at 11:53:07 PDT, seller added the following information:
THIS IS CALLED THE "KAMM TAIL" ON THIS CAR. ALSO, THIS ENGINE IS THE 1779cc 1.8L DOHC. Ebay did not have an option for this in the listing information and incorrectly listed the engine as the 1962cc version, which would make this a 2000.
We also have a ton of additional parts that go with the car, as well as the original California license plates, owners books, and some additional original paperwork. The parts are extensive, filling a whole table and some are NIB. Ebay will not allow any more photos to be posted, so if you would like me to email you the photos of the parts, please send me a question through the listing. Thanks!

Alfa Romeo 4C coupe will be gone for 2019, but the Spider lives on
Thu, Jun 28 2018This post has been updated with confirmation from Alfa Romeo. Not with an expensive bang, but a barely audible whimper: That's the way Alfa Romeo's 4C sports coupe goes out. The slow-selling mid-engined car has been cut from the lineup for next year. An Alfa Romeo spokesperson has confirmed to Autoblog that the 4C coupe will be gone from Alfa's U.S. portfolio after the 2018 model year. It will remain for sale in this country while supplies last, and will still be produced for other markets around the world. View 12 Photos The 4C never sold in enormous numbers during its 2014-on tenure, but monthly sales have slowed down to just a couple dozen cars in the past year. In January, 12 were sold, with October 2017 a particular high point with 45 units delivered. By contrast, the strongest month was January 2015 with 97 4Cs sold. Not a single month has seen three-figure U.S. sales. Those sales figures seem to cover both 4C models, so we can only assume the coupe was the weaker part of those numbers. However, if a 4C is what you want, you don't have to give up on the dream. The open-topped Spider version remains on sale, but Motor Authority reports that it gets a $1,000 price hike for next year, to $66,900; at $55,900 the coupe was $10,000 cheaper than the open version, so those wanting one should act on it quickly. In addition, the racing-oriented Track Package will be unavailable after 2018. That included handling improvements like sturdier sway bars and better shocks, along with sportier wheels and tires. Alfa Romeo to offer 4C buyers choice of headlights [w/poll]
Wed, Mar 19 2014Typically an automobile will lose some of its more radical design elements on the road from concept to production, but Alfa Romeo has done things a little differently with the 4C... at least, that is, when it came to its headlights. When the sports car concept first debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, it had an intriguing, glowing headlight design that seemed more stylish than functional. The headlight design stayed the same when Alfa repainted the concept from matte red to liquid silver for the Frankfurt Motor Show later that year, but when the 4C debuted in production form two years after concept's first showing, its headlights weren't any less strange. If anything, they were even more so, taking on a form that only a fly's optometrist could love. Things took a more conventional (and eye-pleasing) turn earlier this month when Alfa revealed the 4C Spider concept with not only a different roofline but also a new set of headlights. Those units are expected to make their way to production when the 4C Spider is finalized, but word has it that the roadster won't be the only one to get them. According to Autocar, the Italian automaker will offer new buyers of the 4C coupe the option to fit the Spider's headlamps instead of the strange-looking units on the hardtop model. The Spider, meanwhile, will only get the more conventional units. We've reached out to Alfa Romeo for confirmation, and have yet to hear back as we go to publish, but either way, the 4C remains – for the time being – a piece of forbidden fruit that we only wish we could get in the States as Alfa continues to plot its eventual return to the North American market. Best sport sedans for 2022 and 2023
Thu, Nov 11 2021SUVs dominate the car industry at every size and price level, but some people still prefer the looks, and more importantly, the performance and comfort, of the traditional sedan. With a lower ride height, lighter weight and generally smaller size, they often are much more fun to drive, and can even be more comfortable. Sport sedans of course lean harder on the performance side of things, and are among the best options for sheer speed and fun, thanks to those inherent characteristics. We've rounded up the ones in the segment that do the sporty dance better than any others in 2024 to give you a handy guide when you're shopping for one of your own. You'll find a wide array of cars here including gas, electric and hybrid powertrains. They'll have manual and automatic transmissions and drive the front, rear or all four wheels. Technically a few hatchbacks have slipped in, but they're close enough in look and feel that we wanted to include them. And excluding them means you might miss out on some of the best-driving options available. You wouldn't want that, would you? Alfa Romeo Giulia Why it stands out: Punchy four-cylinder; astounding power from Quadrifoglio; light and nimble character; awesome shift paddlesCould be better: Clunky infotainment; sub-par switchgear Read our Alfa Romeo Giulia review We start this list with one of the most predictable inclusions: the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Yes, it's a stereotype that the Italian sport sedan is fun to drive, but the fact is, well, it is. The Giulia comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 280 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful four-cylinders in the segment. It's paired with a snappy and smooth eight-speed transmission and either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The engine is lively and torquey, if a little short of revs, and the chassis feels super-light. The steering is eager and the car jumps into corners. We also highly recommend getting a version with the enormous and superb aluminum paddle shifters that make clicking through gears much more entertaining. And on the topic of the interior, it's attractive, but the various switches and knobs feels a little cheap, and the infotainment system is clunky. Of course there's also the incredible Giulia Quadrifoglio at the high end. It gets a Ferrari-derived twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 making 505 hp, and it's rear-wheel drive only.
