Up for sale, is a beautiful example of a classic Italian Sports Car, the Alfa Romeo Spider. Pininfarina Body. Awesome shade of Red, really the only color for a car like this. This 1987 classic is in excellent condition, starts and runs like a charm. It's 2.0L still pulls hard and is great on gas. It can be placed on classic car insurance which will only cost you a few hundred per YEAR including collision! It is exempt from emissions testing. This convertible is really one of the best you can find of this particular vehicle. No cracks in the dash. Treated with Krown rust control yearly. There is absolutely no rust or rot anywhere on this car, quite a rare example. It has been taken care of all it's life. Looks as if it has been restored when you first glance at this car! Never driven anywhere near winter months, and is kept in an enclosed garage. Only 92,014 original KMs! (57,175 miles!) I've personally owned this car for 11 years. The previous gentlemen, a friend of my fathers, for more than 12 years. Hate to let it go, but it's not receiving the attention it needs in my growing fleet of cars. This year alone I've only put approx. 600kms on it and it was the same last year. I want someone else to enjoy it. I'm not in desperate need to sell, this is not your numerous problem everyday project $5,000 Spider. This car is worth more than others especially with it's current condition, mileage and all the work that's been done. Look elsewhere if you're looking for a neat looking 'beater', this isn't it. This car is really worth it. Amazing the amount of head turns you'll get. Fun to drive! Could even be a daily driver. This is the next up and coming european classic car.

 

 

There has been numerous maintenance and upgrades done to this car since I've purchased it. I have dated records of all the work I've done. Noticeable ones are as follows.

 

BWA modern fiver star wheels were added. Yokohama AVS ES100 tires have been installed. The stock original wheels with tires mounted are also still available if wanted. An example of their style is featured in one of the last posted photo. That is not an actual photo of them, they are in storage (too lazy). A new Pioneer CD MP3 player deck was installed including front Pioneer speakers and rear Kenwoods. An aftermarket alarm system that I did not install was removed. Never mess with a classic in that way, especially a Brit or Italian's wiring. New Cat Converter and Mufflers replaced. New Oxygen Sensor. New Speedometer Sender. New Rear Driver Side Suspension Bushing. Repaired pesky wiring issues. Seats professionally reupholstered with durable black leather. New Battery. New Slave Cylinder. New Ignition Coil. New Hand Rolled Sun-Fast Black on Black padded quarters Convertible Top. New Water Pump. Repaired Vacuum leak, Replace Cap/Rotor, 2 new fuel lines, 2 new fuel pumps, New SPI Aux Valve. New Clutch Master Cylinder. New Altitude Sensor. Radiator Repaired by weld and painted new tube. New plugs and plug wires. New Fuses.

 

 

The only real issue with this car I can think of are as follow. Mind you this car is nearly 3 decades old. The windshield passenger side towards the bottom has a little fogging approx an inch wide which you should be able to see in the pictures. It is an original windshield. The upholstering in the trunk looks new but the connections are starting to wear, not a real issue but something to mention. Slight abrasion on shifter leather boot, and a little piece of the carpet near the passenger side could be glued down firmer near the upper part of the door as seen in picture. I might even due that prior to sale actually. Any tiny paint chips over the years have been filled in immediately with touch up paint. The speedometer is malfunctioning and inaccurate.

On a side note, the side photo featuring the Pininfarina badge there are black marks towards the bottom of the car. Apparently there was some dirt/oil of some sort that I missed at time of photography. Those are not dings or scratches. Also, some reason wouldn't upload the pic of the engine bay. Nothing particular to see, just figured some people like seeing the casting of Alfa Romeo on the engine. Looks like a normal Alfa Romeo Spider, nothing mutilated.

Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition marks a day we never thought we'd see

Alfa Romeo has been teasing its return to the United States for years. Each time, it's seemingly been pushed back for one reason or another. The last time we had our Alfa fix fulfilled was when just a few hundred examples of the 8C Competizione crossed the pond late last decade. Now, though, it looks like finally Alfa will be coming back, showing this, the 4C Launch Edition, at the 2014 New York Auto Show. By now, you should know the brief on the 4C – ultra-lightweight, mid-engined, turbocharged and with non-power-assisted steering. It's a driving instrument, and one we've admired from afar since it hit the European market. The 4C Launch Edition is the opening volley of Alfa's US return and adds a number of items to the already appealing sports car. The 500 Launch Editions will be limited to three colors - Alfa Red, Rosso Competizione or Madreperla White. It sports standard bi-xenon headlamps, which do away with the polarizing covers that highlighted European models. A carbon-fiber spoiler and mirror caps and unique forged wheels round out the changes for first US-spec 4Cs. The suspension is firmer, with performance-tuned shocks and stiffer front and rear sway bars. Meanwhile, a racing exhaust should help the turbocharged, four-cylinder engine make its presence known. It doesn't seem like the power output is changing thanks to the new exhaust, although we're expecting the 4C's already throaty warble will sound even better. Alfa Romeo turns it up to 11 with Harrison guitars and Marshall amps

To American enthusiasts, nothing might say rock n' roll quite like a classic muscle car. But that doesn't preclude the Europeans from trying. Volkswagen has partnered with Fender for its premium audio systems, and now Alfa Romeo is teaming up with some rocking powerhouses as well. The Italian automaker is collaborating with Harrison Custom Guitar Works to create the limited-edition axe you see here. The electric guitar is designed around Alfa's iconic grille and uses automotive materials like aluminum and carbon fiber as well as traditional guitar woods like poplar, maple, ebony and Korina. The cross-bars, pickups, tail piece and bridge are CNC-machined from aluminum billet. Only 11 examples will be made, each taking eight months to construct, and priced at GBP4,000 (about $6,800 at current exchange rates). At the same time Alfa has also created a one-off MiTo concept car together with Marshall Amplification. The hatchback packs a custom Marshall JVM 50-watt amp and a pair of 12-inch 75-watt speakers, but has also been decked out with gold-mesh trim on the grille, head- and taillight surrounds, side mirrors, door handles and lower bumper – just like a Marshall stack – while the interior has been worked over with Marshall treadplates, white piping and gold trim. The shift knob has even been replaced by a Shure SH55 microphone. Though the collaborations look like something straight out of This Is Spinal Tap (with a touch of The Graduate thrown in for good measure), they'll both be showcased at a special screening in London of another rock documentary: Sound City, directed by Foo Fighters frontman (and former Nirvana drummer) Dave Grohl. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale supercar revealed with gas and EV versions, gorgeous either way

This gorgeous red supercar is the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. The name “33” has several references, the first being to the design, as this new 33 Stradale borrows from the famous Tipo 33. Secondly, Alfa is only producing 33 examples of this supercar, and all of them are already sold. The powertrain strategy for the 33 Stradale is perhaps the most interesting part of it, as buyers can choose between a twin-turbo V6 and a fully electric version. AlfaÂ’s gas-powered 33 Stradale produces 620 horsepower, is shifted via an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox and puts its power down exclusively to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip differential. Its top speed is 206 mph, and the 0-62 mph time is “less than three seconds.” The engine itself is said to be a derivative of the Ferrari-developed V6 you find under the hood of the Alfa Quadrifoglio models. The battery-electric 33 Stradale produces “more than 750 horsepower” and goes 0-62 mph in under 2.5 seconds, but Alfa isnÂ’t saying much else about the powertrain. We presume it will be all-wheel drive due to multiple electric motors being necessary. Range is currently estimated at 280 miles on the optimistic WLTP test cycle. The platform is a combination aluminum H-frame and carbon fiber monocoque that shares plenty with the Maserati MC20, and the roof is engineered with the same materials, supporting the butterfly doors. A front-axle lift system comes standard, and you also get a drive mode selector to choose between Strada (road) and Pista (track). Launch control is activated via a “Quadrifoglio” button. Big Brembo carbon ceramic brakes do the stopping, with six-piston calipers in front and four-piston units in the rear. While there may be a lot underneath that is shared with the MC20, its design is pure Alfa Romeo. Its interior is just as impressive as the beautiful exterior, too. The controls in the center stack are all about physical engagement, as they feature the most beautiful design that just makes us want to turn, twist and toggle them. Above that rests a widescreen touch display powered by Uconnect5 in a similar layout as the MC20. The cluster features a “3D telescope display,” which Alfa claims is the first of its kind. Plus, the steering wheel purposefully doesnÂ’t have a single button on it for maximum driving enjoyment.
