Up for sale today is my second owner, one of a kind, flawless 2005 Acura TL Automatic with 98k miles. You will NOT find a nicer Acura TL used. This beautiful Acura TL is in excellent condition, and has not a single issue to be fixed. It has been meticulously maintained and turns heads everywhere it goes. With the Silver exterior with Type-S Accents such as Type-S OEM Tail Lights, a Type-S Spoiler, Type-S LED Smoked Side Markers, Graphite Painted OEM TL Wheels, 35% tinted windows, and Gray Leather interior, this is the sharpest TL on the planet. This TL is fully loaded with full power mirrors, power locks, one touch power windows, power moonroof, XM Radio, premium sound, memory power with lumbar driver and passenger seating, and OEM TL floor mats.

This car looks and drives amazing. It has always been kept up on full synthetic oil changes and all maintenance. I bought it off the original owner, who had never driven it in the winter, and either have I. It has never been smoked in. It has always been garaged, and rarely driven in the rain. The exterior looks great and has no issues to note. The interior looks great as you can see with light wear on the seats, and no other issues to report. All power options work, there are no trouble lights, and brand new high performance all season tires were installed 100 miles ago. Just passed Ohio eCheck emissions testing with no issues.

Major maintenance done within the last month includes a new replacement transmission and front brakes. Seriously, do your research before you buy an Acura TL. They are NOTORIOUS for the transmission failing around 80k or more miles. I just had it replaced a month ago, and it drives and shifts like a brand new car. It came to over $2,500 to have the new transmission replaced and programmed correctly from a reputable shop. Buying a used TL is like taking a $2500 risk, but nearly every single used car has a transmission before 100k miles. Avoid it by buying this one that literally has a new transmission that is less than a month old. Buying this TL will remove that headache from occurring in the future. The water pump and timing chain were both replaced at 90k Miles. A buyer had told me he would buy it cash on the spot if I had the 100k mile Acura service completed, which I just did ($1300.) Then I never heard from him again.

The car runs and drives like a new vehicle. There is not a single suspension noise or driving problem. This is as close to buying new as you can get with a sued vehicle. I PROMISE you will NOT find a nicer, tastily appearance modified, well maintained problem free Acura TL with new tires, a new transmission replaced a month ago ever again - so please contact me if you are interested. Feel free to call or email me with any questions 614-522-9626. The blue book is $11,000 on the vehicle without any of the Type-S modifications, new transmission, or brand new tires, and the asking price is EXTREMELY fair. Clean title, no liens. If you are interested, CONTACT ME as I have the vehicle listed for sale locally as well!

Acura is livestreaming an augmented reality race on Facebook

Mon, Jul 10 2017

Honda's luxury car brand Acura is set to livestream an augmented reality race featuring its 2018 TLX A-Spec sedan. The event will see four drivers hit a real track while wearing AR helmets that will create new virtual environments for each lap. Aside from spectating, viewers will also be able to interact with the racers on Facebook Live. The race will see each driver attempt to clock the fastest overall time during a three-lap time trial. That sounds simple enough, until the AR environments come online and really begin altering what the drivers see. As a result, each lap will trigger a new mixed-reality environment, visible to both the drivers and viewers. Central to the virtual experience will be the computer-connected helmets worn by the racers. Within each helmet is a HD screen with a two-way mirror that allows the driver to see the AR overlaid onto the real track. A computer rig in the backseat, powered by the Acura's battery, will generate the environments. To ensure the experience runs smoothly, Acura will have to track the objects on the tarmac and the movement of the car itself. Of course, this isn't Forza, so you can't just rewind the action should something go wrong, so Acura will use custom-made tracking gear to ensure the drivers don't plough into a wall because their eyes deceive them. You can tune into the race on Monday at 8pm ET on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Viewers will be shown the action courtesy of cameras placed on the drivers' helmets and around the track. Facebook Live audience members will also be able to offer hints and tips. Acura claims the interactions will transform viewers into a virtual pit crew. But all you'll really be doing is smashing a Facebook reaction at a given time to reveal a shortcut to the driver -- which isn't quite the same, is it?This article by Saqib Shah originally appeared on Engadget, your source for this connected life.Related Video: Marketing/Advertising Motorsports Acura Racing Vehicles Sedan augmented reality acura tlx

2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition adds NSX colors to the palette

Fri, Jul 1 2022

The 2023 Acura TLX Type S is getting a PMC Edition with some extra-pretty color options derived from the Acura NSX.  Per usual with Acura’s PMC Edition cars, the TLX Type S PMC Edition is hand-built at the same Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio as the NSX is. The regular TLX Type S is right down the road in Marysville, Ohio, so while itÂ’s not a massive location change, the environment in which the PMC cars are built in is entirely different from AcuraÂ’s typical assembly lines. As for the new colors, youÂ’ll be able to choose between Long Beach Blue, Curva Red and 130R White — all of those shades were previously offered on the NSX. In addition to the main shade, all PMC Edition cars will get a Berlina Black (also an NSX shade) painted roof, antenna and door handles. The quad exhaust will also be finished in black chrome instead of the bright chrome that comes standard. You get the same Y-spoke 20-inch wheels as the regular Type S has, but these are finished in a copper paint, and they sure do stand out. Other exterior changes include a carbon fiber lip spoiler and rear diffuser alongside glossy black side sill garnish and model badging. On the inside, Acura uses carbon fiber trim and adds illuminated side sills and unique Type S-badged floor mats. Each exterior color is paired with a single interior option. The Curve Red car gets an Ebony black interior with red stitching. All Long Beach Blue cars get an Orchid (cream) interior with blue stitching. And finally, the 130R White cars will get a red interior. All PMC Edition cars get a serialized plaque on the center console, as well. Similar to other Acura PMC cars of the past, this one is put through the same quality control checks as the NSX, including a dyno check, rough road simulation and paint inspection. TheyÂ’re also given special coverings for transport to the dealer and delivered via fully enclosed single-car carriers. Yes, you should expect the paint to be utterly perfect upon first inspection. Pricing for the PMC Edition isnÂ’t out yet, but expect it to be available when Acura releases pricing for the full lineup of 2023 TLX models. Related video:

Acura to roll out NSX Prototype for Mid-Ohio IndyCar race

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Acura will tease us yet again with its next-gen NSX when it makes an appearance at Mid-Ohio Raceway before the circuit's IndyCar race early next month. To be fair, the car's in-motion debut won't take the form of a production model - that's still a ways off - the vehicle will be a prototype. It'll be sporting custom graphics and an eye-catching paint (wrap?) job to draw the attention of the spectators, but really, we just want to hear this thing rounding the legendary road course at full chat.
The NSX prototype doesn't look to be much different from the various showcars we've seen over the last couple of years, with the same mid-engined, hybrid V6 power and all-wheel drive all present and accounted for.
The display will take place before the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series on August 4. The race itself starts at 3:00 pm and will be shown on NBC Sports Network.
