For sale to a good, loving home:

My beloved, 2005 Acura TL, Louise. My loyal travel companion. (she loves road-trips!)
White Diamond Pearl, Parchment Leather interior
150,700 miles
tires - 20,000 miles since new in 2012. Comes with Road Hazzard coverage policy from Big O Tires
Battery & starter replaced in June 2012 (these are the only 2 repairs EVER needed, all other items were maintenance only)
****Timing Belt replaced as maintenance @ 100,000 mi*****

Minor, cosmetic dings and scratches on front and rear bumpers. (see pics) Other cars were constantly love-tapping her when they parked!

A few wear and tear items where she is beginning to show her age (shown in the pictures)
-a clip is missing from the back panel of the driver's seat
-a scuff in the leather on the passenger-side door
-discoloration spots on the passenger-side mirror
-Leather on the driver's seat is showing signs of 150,000

What else can I say, I loved this car - all 8 years she and I have been together! I bought her as a certified, pre-owned from an Acura Dealer in Pennsylvania. I am the second owner. We drove across country together (thus her name, Louise) I am selling everything I have and traveling to Italy, or else I would keep her forever!

I have the clean, PA title in hand & can sign her over with verified funds.

Original MSRP - $35,470
This model includes all luxury amenities as standard.
seating for 5, comfortably
Leather seats, steering wheel, shift control knob
dual-zone, automatic 3D solar-sensing climate control (Using time of day and direction of travel, this gadget calculates the sun's position relative to the car to adjust side-to-side interior temperatures to maintain desired settings.)

5 speed automatic with optional manual SportShift

iPod/MP3/aux integration- I paid to have this option installed aftermarket (not standard until 2006 TL models)

HANDS-FREE Bluetooth (works with all phone models, I have used it with about 20 different phones, the last 4 being iPhone models)

Safe! (5 Star crash rating)
Airbags - driver, passenger
"seat-mounted side-impact airbags and full-cabin side curtain airbags are standard. The side-impact airbag sensors note the seat occupant's height and position to minimize potential injury to out-of-place and smaller-stature individuals. Frontal airbags are dual-stage and dual-threshold, meaning they deploy at different rates depending on the severity of the crash and whether the front seat occupants are belted in. For 2005, a weight sensor has been incorporated in the front passenger seat; if the total weight on the seat is less than 65 pounds (the weight of a small child or a car seat), the right front airbag will not deploy. On the driver's side, a new position sensor has been added, so if the seat is within half an inch of the most forward position, the airbag will only deploy in the more gentle, dual-stage mode. If the seat is farther than a half inch from the forward position, the airbag deploys in either single or dual-stage mode based on the severity of the collision. LATCH child seat anchors are included"
ABS brakes, Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control System, Electronic Brake Assistance

HANDS-FREE driver control, voice activated radio, climate control - the vehicle will respond to 300 different verbal commands

anti-theft alarm

Powerful, yet fuel efficient - 3.2L V6 (270 hp)
20 city /29 highway MPG - (realistically, though in LA it is more like 18 city because of the traffic, but when we drove across country, it was 32 MPG!)

awesome Stereo system - multi-speaker, externally power-amplified, DVD/CD/cassette/AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio system, to which Acura added a new technology known as DVD-Audio 5.1. DVDs recorded with this technology triple the channels in traditional stereo and virtual (electronically synthesized) surround sound systems, from two to six. The hope was to do for digital recordings what Dolby did for analog tapes.

In-dashboard Navigation System - Easy to use, large display, voice activated with clearly audible directions in response.
Power Sun/moon roof
alloy wheels
xenon, high density discharge headlights

Very comfortable ride, spacious cockpit and passenger seating. Memory seats, remembers driver's settings based on which key fob unlocks vehicle.

Review for 2005 Acura TL from Car & Driver -

"Acura's badge is a set of engineering calipers, symbolizing the brand's focus on precision engineering. That symbol holds more than ever with its latest models, the all-new 2005 Acura RL and the sportier and only slightly smaller Acura TL, which was completely redesigned and re-engineered as a 2004 model. (The 2005 Acura TL carries into its second model year with no major changes.)

The Acura TL is a true sports sedan, albeit with front-wheel drive. The TL delivers sharp-handling, a powerful V6 engine, a fully independent suspension, and the latest active safety electronics to optimize driving dynamics. Its engine doles out abundant power, whether for back road barnstorming or passing other vehicles on the freeway. Barnstorming is aided by great handling and powerful brakes. Freeway cruising is made pleasant by the reasonably smooth ride, though the TL is not a soft cushmobile.

Where previous TL models were subtle, tailored and conservatively handsome, this latest-generation TL is hip, bold, and razor-edged. It's a fully equipped luxury performance sedan in midsize dimensions. Every passive safety feature you'd expect in a premium car is included.

The interior is thoroughly modern and features state-of-the-art surround-sound. The TL isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for in performance and features."

    2021 Acura TLX A-Spec Long-Term Update | How's it handle?

    Thu, Apr 8 2021

A couple of months have passed since we took delivery of our new 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec long-term tester, and the miles are starting to pile on — the odometer just clicked past 6,000. I was particularly eager to get behind the wheel of our TLX, as my first go-round in AcuraÂ’s new sports sedan left me feeling good about where Acura was headed with this car. That said, I only spent about an hour in the saddle during my first drive experience, and that time was on unfamiliar roads. The stint I just completed was a full month, and in that time I treated the TLX as if I owned it. So much so, that I completed the same mini road trip with it that I took in my 2001 Acura Integra GS-R last fall. The destination was southern Indiana, an unexpected but heavenly place to test the handling of a car. Just go south or east from Bloomington, Ind., on the squiggly lines you see on Google Maps. I promise you wonÂ’t be disappointed. Photo evidence of both trips below, including my friendÂ’s Alfa Romeo Giulia(s). The TLX was an absolute peach on the hundreds of miles of winding pavement. Despite its BMW 5 Series size, the TLX handles like a compact car. Its chassis is rigid and unbending through every kind of corner. This isnÂ’t the Type S (nor is it an Advance trim with the adaptive dampers), but itÂ’s all the chassis you could want on a backroad. ThereÂ’s enough give from the dampers to smooth out the bad spots, but itÂ’s dialed in to provide unwavering stability in big weight transfers, too. Acura struck a happy balance. Credit for this carÂ’s poise under stress on less-than-ideal roads should also be given to the new independent double wishbone front suspension design. You can sense it sorting out dips and changes in the road as youÂ’re battling through a rough corner. The big 255-section-width tires stay confidently glued to the pavement, communicating grip levels through the wheel and chassis as you go. The super-quick steering ratio from the new electric rack does a decent job of simulating road feel, but the best part about it is the rackÂ’s sheer speed. Acura takes full advantage of this sedanÂ’s rigid chassis with that quick, precise turn-in. ItÂ’s not quite as fast as the Alfa Romeo GiuliaÂ’s energetic steering, but the end result is a car that changes direction the moment your brain decides it wants to. What really ties this carÂ’s handling together is AcuraÂ’s torque-vectoring SH-AWD system.

Driving Iron Man's Favorite Supercar, The Acura NSX | Translogic 215

    Thu, Feb 9 2017

There's fast, and then there's 3 electric motors plus a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 fast. On this episode of Translogic, we're dealing exclusively with the latter. Our host Jonathon Buckley heads to Atlanta, GA to experience the hybrid-electric power of the Acura NSX. Bucko even had the opportunity to chat with the car's chief engineer about how the NSX is evolving the segment, much like its predecessor did nearly 3 decades ago. "It's gonna change the automotive segment very much like that original car did," said Jason Widmer, Chief Engineer for the NSX. Referencing the all-aluminum body on the original car and the 3 extra electric motors on the current model, Jason brings to light some of the more leading edge pieces of technology in the vehicles. Between the insanely smooth acceleration and the wonderfully loud engine noises, this is one hybrid that seems to give drivers the best of both worlds. This car has so much cool tech, it's no wonder it was Iron Man's vehicle of choice in the cinema blockbuster The Avengers. This is one car you have to see to believe so check out the episode above and see what we mean! Acura teases production MDX ahead of next week's unveiling

    Tue, Dec 1 2020

Acura will unveil the 2022 MDX in production form next Tuesday, Dec. 8, promising it will be "the most premium, performance-focused and technologically advanced SUV in Acura history." Acura will host the debut on its web site at 11:30 a.m. EST.  If you thought we already saw the 2022 Acura MDX, it's because we did. Acura showed the TLX-inspired design back in October with a "prototype." Like parent company Honda, Acura tends to show "prototypes" that are dead-ringers for their production variants, and this appears to be no different. The below left is Acura's teaser image with the levels brought up to reveal more detail; the below right is an image of the "prototype" shown in October. From what we can see here, they're virtually identical, and nothing we've seen in spy photos suggests that we're in for any surprises when the real thing bows next week.  The 2022 MDX rides on a new light truck platform that Acura says will provide more athletic handling, greater ride comfort and a quieter cabin versus the outgoing car. Like the new TLX, it will incorporate a double-wishbone front suspension, which should also improve ride and handling. Acura says it will offer a Type S version of the MDX is with the same turbocharged V6 that will power the new TLX Type S. That variant will make 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque (same as the TLX), while the standard engine will continue to be Acura’s 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. Both engines will be mated to AcuraÂ’s 10-speed automatic transmission and send power to all four wheels using the latest fourth-generation SH-AWD system. Not all of the performance details are available yet, but Acura says the MDX can be had with four-piston Brembo brake calipers (likely another Type S feature) and comes with a drive mode selector that allows you to adjust ride, handling, steering, suspension and powertrain characteristics. Based on the prototype, the interior matches the exterior for flair and elegance. We like the open-pore wood thatÂ’s been infused with metallic flake, French stitching, contrast piping and quilted leather in all three rows. Acura says that all three rows get more legroom this year, and first and third rows get more headroom. A new panoramic moonroof should make the cabin even airier for rear occupants. Related Video:
