My intent was to get this car in excellent
condition and use it as a second car for my daughter but I recently acquired a
fourth car and it's now not needed. High mileage due to long commute to
and from work. Heated seats mirrors and power everything all the standard
equipment for an Acura 3.2 TL. Excellent condition very well maintained carpet interior excellent condition and always kept clean inside and out especially the outside and underneath during the winter, a cigarette smoke free vehicle. Engine clean and very sound as oil was changed every 3000 miles without exception, does not use or leak any oil at all between changes or any oil from anywhere. Absolutely no rust whatsoever and no damage history. I have owned this car since it was new and it has always been garaged. List of new items installed on this vehicle in
the past 24 months: New HID headlights original equipment including
transformers igniters and bulbs $800. New front struts and all new bushings on front
end suspension $600 Extensive front-end alignment and new tires,
tires wear evenly (70 percent) car handles excellent. New front hubs wheel bearings both axles and
half shaft $750. New rotors brakes and wheel cylinders all four
wheels as well as new emergency brake shoes. Exhaust system new back to catalytic converter
remainder of the system is in excellent condition. New timing belt water pump and associated parts
for this preventive maintenance item $490. New spark plugs coils air cleaner and
environmental air cleaner for the interior. New radiator and heater hoses. New inside OEM auto sensor rear view mirror. New high output battery. Have put considerably more in this vehicle in parts and labor than I'm asking for it but it won't do it any good setting around not being used. Clean title and no damage history. Must-see and drive to appreciate. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. Acura TLX sales stopped over rollaway fears
Tue, Dec 9 2014A bad indicator that could convince customers that affected cars are in park, even when they aren't, has pushed Acura to issue a stop-sale for the V6-equipped TLX sedan. The company has already alerted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the potential safety defect. According to Consumer Reports, the defect is being blamed on unnamed transmission components in the nine-speed-automatic transmissions, which were damaged during assembly. A representative from Acura confirmed to CR that a more complete statement would be coming once the case can be reviewed by NHTSA. At this point, this case isn't a full recall, although it seems quite likely that's the direction it will take. Stay tuned for more.
2024 Acura Integra Type S Road Test: Just our Type
Mon, Sep 18 2023It’s so often the case that a truly special driverÂ’s car reveals itself within the first couple hundred feet behind the wheel. The 2024 Acura Integra Type S is one of those cars. In fact, the Integra Type S doesnÂ’t even need that amount of road to show itself, because so much of what makes this car magical to drive can be felt standing still in the driveway. The fizz starts when you push the well-weighted clutch in, then hear the buzzy and vibrating 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder spring to life. It sends vibrations through the car and straight into your body thanks to the purposefully lacking balance shafts. Little turbocharged motors are typically lacking in character, but the Integra Type SÂ’ engine feels like itÂ’s alive and bumbling with energy at idle. Before you even start to find revs, this engine presents as one designed for performance. Take a spin through the six-speed manual transmission while stationary, and it quickly becomes obvious why Honda is the standard when it comes to manual transmissions. ItÂ’s a combination of the natural fluidity moving through the pattern – going both up and down, each gear seemingly selects itself as your wrist guides the stubby shifter along – and the mechanical click-clack connection you feel through your hand with each shift. The sheer amount of satisfaction it brings to make every last gear change is enough to make any manual enthusiast giddy. I ease off the clutch for the first time, and start to roll those thick 265-section-width tires forward, quickly revealing the perfectly weighted steering rack, clueing me in on how serious this chassis is. The view forward is spectacular past the thin A-pillars. The exhaust goes bang, ratta-tat-tat on the overrun as I ease up to the first stop sign. And the brakes only require a gentle whisper to the mega-responsive pedal to bring this hatchback to a stop. It only takes that couple hundred-foot stretch to realize that this Type S is exactly what I know it to be: a Honda Civic Type R in a different outfit. The comparison is impossible to avoid, and the Honda community may spend the next 50 years debating which one is better – trust me, there will never be a clear-cut answer – but itÂ’s undeniably great that we all get to choose between these two similar driving beasts.
Powerball winner's first purchase will be used Acura NSX off Craigslist
Thu, 08 Aug 2013We don't play the lottery very often, but when we do, even a five-dollar win is cause for celebration. So we can't possibly imagine how Paul White from Minnesota is feeling after scoring a third of this week's $448 million Powerball jackpot. It has to be an overwhelming experience, but we think he's going to end up handling it well if his first press conference is any indication.
Like some of us, White has a pretty reasonable idea of what his first purchase is, and boy, is it a good one: an early Acura NSX. Yes, this man has class. Rather than run out and buy a clichéd Rolls-Royce or Lamborghini, his first instinct is to go pick up a $30,000 Acura that he has been eyeing on Craigslist for months. It's enough to make us wonder if he'll use his winnings to get on the list for one of Acura's new NSXs when they finally come around in 2015.
Watch White describe what it is about the NSX that makes heart skip a beat in the press conference video from USA Today below (note: video autoplays).
