2005 Acura Rsx Base Auto - Low Miles - Original Owner - Desert Car - No Reserve! on 2040-cars

Up for auction is a 2005 Acura RSX 2.0L  with  5 speed automatic transmission.  This vehicle is currently owned by a family member that due to illness is no longer able to drive.  She purchased the car new and it has spent its entire life in sunny Las Vegas.  This is a one time opportunity with a no reserve auction, so if you have been waiting for a clean, unmodified and low mileage Acura RSX, this could be it!

Exterior

The car has always been garaged and the paint shines like new.
The car has no rust and rarely has seen rain.  It has one small ding in the driver's rear quarter panel and approximately 1" scratch, otherwise it has avoided the usual parking lot door dings seen in most used cars.  The jade green metallic color is very subtle and has only a hint of green.  The 16" alloy wheels have no curb marks and look new.  The windows are tinted with Formula One window tint all around and a visor strip on the windshield, which has a lifetime transferable warranty against fading and lifting.

The passenger door and front fender were painted in 2011 due to a parking lot incident.  The damage was entirely cosmetic and the repair was performed by a professional paint shop in Las Vegas.

Interior

Every option works as it should.  Cruise, moonroof, power mirrors, power locks, power windows, auto climate control, a/c, and cd stereo to name a few.  Carpets and seats are stain free.  An aftermarket center armrest that sits in the console is also included.  It sits in place with no modification needed.

Mechanical

This RSX has no mechanical needs - as it has less than seven thousand miles!  Oil, oil filter and cabin filters were recently changed before the auction and the car is detailed and ready to go!  I am a car enthusiast and was surprised at how fun to drive this little car is.  The small steering wheel and quick steering make for a nimble small car that has plenty of power for zipping around town.  Great gas mileage, too!

Both sets of keys and original keyless entry fobs are included, along with the original valet key.  Owners manual and wheel lock key are also present.

Shipping

This 2005 Acura RSX has always proved to be very dependable, and though I can not offer a guarantee, I will mention that I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.  If you feel the same, I'm happy to provide pickup from the Las Vegas Airport.

If you prefer to arrange your new vehicle to be shipped, eBay recommends Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS)
Give them a call today at 800.826.1083 for a free quote
Depot to depot shipping may be less expensive than door-to-door, so I am happy to drop off at any local pickup point in the greater Las Vegas area to save you on additional destination charges.

Terms of Sale

This vehicle is currently located in Las Vegas, NV and will be sold in "AS IS, WHERE IS" and there are no warranties expressed or implied herein.  Any bid on this vehicle will be considered a binding acceptance of the terms of sale, specifically including a non-refundable deposit of $500 due within 48 hours of sale (preferably via PayPal), and the remaining balance due within 7 days after close of auction via cash, or certified bank check only.  The vehicle is privately held, so there are no dealer fees or taxes required upon purchase.  The vehicle is being sold with a clear title.

I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately as possible and provide detailed pictures to convey the true condition of this 2005 Acura RSX.  Nevertheless, this car remains an 9 year old vehicle, so please email questions or concerns in advance of bidding.

Failure to comply with these terms will forfeit your purchase and your deposit.  If you need more than 10 days to collect your purchase, we can also arrange storage for the vehicle for $45 a week.

Thank you for your interest!

Honda is first Japanese carmaker to be a net-exporter from US

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Over the last decade or so, many foreign automakers have challenged the idea of what defines an "American car," but Honda took things a step further last year by exporting more cars out of the US than it imported in. Reuters is reporting that in 2013, a total of 108,705 Honda and Acura models were exported from the US with only 88,357 being shipped in. This gives Honda a net exporter status here, and makes it the first of such among the major Japanese automakers.
Honda's US imports have been dropping over the last five years while its exports have been steadily increasing. In 2008, the report indicates that Honda shipped 187,000 vehicles to the US and exported only 20,000, and even by 2012 Honda still favored imports with 136,000 imports and 74,000 exports. The article says that US-made Honda and Acura vehicles were exported to 50 countries with most ending up in Mexico, but the big news is that the Honda's US production set a record in 2013 with 1.3 million units built.

Honda and Acura render their future visions for Shanghai

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

With the Shanghai Motor Show coming up later this month, Honda has released a couple of teaser sketches for two concept vehicles that will be making global debuts. Aside from the renderings, there is no information about either the Honda or Acura concept vehicles, but we can tell that both are some sort of utility vehicle, be they of crossover or people-mover variety.
The text for both images indicates that both concepts show future products that will be launched in China, but there is no mention as to what other markets the automaker has planned for these vehicles. In addition to these two concepts, the NSX Concept and 2014 RLX from Acura will make their Chinese debuts, and Honda says it "will display models substantially identical to the mass-production version of the Concept C and Concept S." The Concept C is will be a "middle-class" sedan built for China, and the Concept S, an MPV that will primarily serve China as well.

2021 Acura TLX outed in European patent images

Mon, May 4 2020

Acura brought its Type S concept to last year's Monterey Car Week as a glimmer of what we could expect from the all-new TLX coming next year. Since then, we've had better glimpses of the sedan in unintended leaks, the first in Acura's own infotainment system, now in patent images from the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Discovered by French forum Worldscoop, the details in the grayscale drawings match the color image from the infotainment software, giving us another look at hotly anticipated sedan that will infuse much-needed excitement into Acura's lineup. Even though the images show rear bumper cutouts plenty large enough to house quad pipes, the patent is presumed to show the standard TLX trim, not the Type S trim we know is coming. Even so, we can see plenty of Type S concept influence even with the less aggressive bodywork, such as the narrower upper grille and more pronounced lower grille, the garnish on the lower intakes, the side mirror design, and flared rear fenders. The rear end in the patent shows the same taillamps and decklid shutline, aero vents in the bumper, and the reshaped license plate holder moved from the trunk to the bumper.  The bodywork will sit on a new platform, and the bulk of betting money has Honda's 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo four-cylinder from the RDX as the base engine. That mill making 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque in the RDX, compared to the 2.4-liter four-cylinder in the current TLX that makes 206 hp and 182 lb-ft. The Type S is expected to inaugurate a brand new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 developed specifically for Acura with more than 350 hp, a meaty bump beyond the 290 hp and 267 lb-ft in the present range-topping 3.5-liter V6. The TLX comes in two standard flavors now, so the question is whether Acura will give the 2021 model another engine or output option between standard and the Type S. The MDX Sport Hybrid crossover fits a 3.0-liter V6 powertrain producing a combined 321 hp and 289 lb-ft. On the 2021 TLX, a 10-speed automatic will manage shifting duties, sending power either to the front wheels or to all four through Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.  The automaker had planned on debuting the car at the New York Auto Show, and the rescheduled debut will come online and is likely not far away. If Acura doesn't show the Type S at the same time, an unveiling of that should come by early next year. Related Video:
