I am the original owner of this car and it has been a great dependable car. The paint is original. There are no known issues with the car at this time. I am selling only to buy something I probably shouldn't be buying and I will probably regret letting this car go since it is so dependable and so economical for me to operate. I have always used synthetic oil in the car and change oil and filters every 4/5000 miles. The car had its regular major service at 104K (approx) by Acura wherein they give it their major service and change the timing belt among other things. I use Acura for most of my oil changes and service calls. I have another mechanic who I also use and have replaced with him: battery, alternator, wheel bearing, ball joints. There has never been any issue with the automatic transmission. The car is running perfectly at this time and it is completely dependable. I kept my last Acura for 250K miles and this one will do the same; so based on my track record I would imagine this car good for another 100K miles. ( I AM NOT MAKING THIS A GUARANTEE FOR THIS SALE BUT MERELY MY OBSERVATION - SO DON'T CONSIDER THIS ANYTHING BUT MY OWN PERSONAL THOUGHT).
The car was never involved in any motor vehicle accident. A deer did run into the right quarter panel a few years ago and the panel and the hood were replaced. You would never know this unless I told you which I just did. No other accidents. The car does have normal wear for its age but the pictures just taken give a good idea how well it presents itself. I had a $15 car wash yesterday and drove about 25 miles in melting snow and it still looks rather well. I can provide additional information and pictures if you need them. |

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee earns Seinfeld four more seasons
Thu, May 1 2014We're going to be talking about Jerry Seinfeld and his excellent web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, for quite a long time, as it's been picked up for four more seasons. Considering the show just wrapped up its third season a few months ago, this marks quite a big win. The new order, reported by Variety, calls for 24 episodes, with Acura carrying on as the show's sole and primary sponsor. CICGC is already slated for a fourth season this summer, which includes five episodes, and a seven-episode fifth season in the fall. Guests for season four include Aziz Ansari, Jon Stewart and Sarah Jessica Parker, although we've no idea what sort of cars are in store. It's unclear when seasons six through nine will air, but if 2014 is any indication, we should expect the bulk of the episodes to arrive some time in 2015. Acura RDX Prototype to debut at 2018 Detroit Auto Show
Thu, Dec 21 2017Crossovers make money, plain and simple. Nearly every mainstream automaker sells or is planning to sell some sort of SUV. At the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, Acura will debut the third-generation RDX Prototype. This sleek concept isn't the final production version, but it is a good preview of what we'll see coming down the pipe from Honda's premium brand. Acura says this is the most extensive redesign in more than a decade, indicating that this is a ground-up redesign rather than an overhaul of the model that's been on sale since 2013. While the current model uses a 3.5-liter V6, the new RDX will likely use a turbocharged inline-four, just like the first-gen RDX. That 2007 model was a huge oddball in Honda's naturally aspirated lineup, though turbocharging is far more prevalent today. Look for a variant of Honda's 1.5-liter turbo-four under the hood and some variant of Acura's all-wheel drive system. The teaser video gives us a brief glimpse of the car, and there's more than a little TLX buried inside. Gone is the "beak," replace by the soon-to-be ubiquitous shield grille. All of Acura's current design was previewed with the Precision Concept that showed its face nearly two years ago. We don't have many other details, but we won't have to wait too much longer. No S660 for US, but Honda wants sporty cars
Mon, Aug 31 2015Honda, best known lately for being a mainstream player rather than the brand that brought us the CRX Si, NSX, Integra Type-R, and S2000, apparently wants to builds sporty cars for the US again. With that in mind (or not), Honda has ruled out bringing the tiny, sporty S660 roadster across the Pacific. "I wouldn't put my chips on [the S660]," American Honda Executive Vice President John Mendel told Automotive News. At nearly 11.1 feet long, the S660 slots in between the 12.8-foot Mazda MX-5 Miata and the 8.8-foot Smart ForTwo. Yet Mendel says the tiny two-seater wouldn't work here. "When the practicalities of the market come in, and the car only so big, that might not be the best car for the US market," Mendel said. "It might be better for India or China or somewhere else." Honda is considering its options here in the US, though. As AN reports, after his takeover earlier this year, new CEO Takahiro Hachigo promised more sporting models, like the new, US-bound, 300-horsepower Civic Type R. And while it's no secret that Honda has filed patent drawings for a mid-engine model, Mendel offered little to indicate that it'd become a reality. Calling the project from Honda's Silicon Valley research and design facility a "design study," Mendel wouldn't answer AN when it asked whether this new model was successor to the S2000 or a more attainable, lower-powered NSX. He did, however, say his company was getting pressure from dealers over the lack of verve in the company's lineup. "They want anything in the sports car world," Mendel told AN. "They're going, 'Gimme a sports car.' They want a retractable hardtop; they want a high-horsepower $20,000 sports car. Because that's the nature of what they do." There you are, Honda. Your dealers want it, which means your consumers are probably are asking for it, and your CEO wants it, too. Make something happen.
