SELLING A 1998 ACURA 3.5 RL CAR ENGINE WORKS PERFECT AND THE PROBLEM WITH THE CAR IS THAT IT DOES NOT MOVIE AT ALL. BUT IT WAS DRIVING GREAT LIKE ALMOST TWO WEEKS AGO. BUT WHEN I PAYED A MECHANIC TO REPLACE THE FRONT DRIVER AXLE IT JUST STOPPED MOVING. AND AFTER HE JUST DID NOT WANT TO FIX IT. AM GUESSING HE DID NOT PUT THE PART IN RIGHT. AND WHEN I LEFT THE CAR ON THE DRIVER SIDE THE WHEEL DOES NOT MOVE IT FEELS LIKE ITS LOCKED. BUT WHEN I LIFT IT UP ON THE DRIVER AND PASSAGE SIDE THE WHEEL MOVES. ALSO CAR KEYS NEED TO BE REPLACE CAUSE THE KEY BROKE IN HALF STILL HAVE THE BROKEN KEY. ALSO THE DRIVER AND PASSAGE SIDE WINDOWS DONT GO DOWN BUT I ALSO HAVE THE PARTS USED NEVER HAD A CHANGES TO PUT THEM ON. AND THE NAVIGATION DOES NOT TURN ON. BUT RADIO DOES STILL WORK PERFECT. CAR DOES HAVE A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND IT HAS A BRAND NEW DRIVER AXLE LIKE I SAID ON TOP. ALSO I HAVE THE FRONT PASSENGER AXLE PART BRAND NEW IN THE BOX. SO CAR IS SOLD AS IS. Acura Integra to make its racing debut at Pikes Peak Hill Climb
Tue, Jun 14 2022Acura is headed to this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a bevy of race cars. Most notable of all is a Pikes Peak-prepped Acura Integra — yes, Acura is already getting the Integra out there for some racing. Beyond the new hatchback making its motorsports debut, Acura is also bringing two TLX Type S race cars and two NSX Type S racers. For the icing on the cake, an NSX Type S will be serving as the official pace car for Pikes Peak this year, too. This particular running of Pikes Peak is special, for itÂ’s the 100th running of the event. The first hill climb at Pikes Peak took place all the way back in 1916; the race went on hiatus during the world wars. As for the cars themselves, Acura provided the greatest detail on the Integra. Modifications include upgraded brakes, new suspension, an HPD differential, wider (and lighter) 18-inch HRE wheels and 245-section-width Pirelli slick tires. The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission remain untouched, so itÂ’ll be heading up the hill with the stock 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. However, weÂ’ll note the this Integra is sporting some extra-large exhaust tips out the rear, so Acura has clearly done something with the exhaust. The livery for the Integra is an homage to AcuraÂ’s first endeavor into motorsports where the first-gen Integra competed in IMSA and won the 1987 and 1988 championships. Pikes Peak rookie Paul Hubers will pilot the Integra up the hill for Acura. As for the other cars, Acura says that both the NSXs and TLXs are fully prepped for Pikes Peak with plenty of modifications, but doesnÂ’t go into detail about them. The NSX Type S will be trying to beat the previous record set by an NSX in the hybrid fuel class. All of these Acuras, and the rest of the field, will be running up the hill on June 26. Autoblog Podcast #343:
2021 Acura TLX to revive Type S, get turbocharged V6
Wed, May 20 2020The 2021 Acura TLX will revive the sporty Type S model after a 10-year moratorium, and this time around, it's getting a turbocharged V6, further setting it apart from other sedans in the Honda corporate family. Acura says the new TLX will draw heavily upon the styling shown on two of its recent concepts: the Precision, which was shown in 2016, and the Type S, which was shown last year. The evolution of the styling is obvious even from Acura's darkened teaser image, which depicts a slightly more curvaceous take on 2019's Type S while retaining most of the same key design elements, including the quad-outlet exhaust and pronounced underbody diffuser. Acura's announcement was otherwise very light on details, saying only that the 2021 TLX will be "...the quickest, best-handling and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history, with the Type S being the model’s performance pinnacle." Apart from the displacement (3.0 liters), we don't yet know anything about the turbocharged V6 that will be utilized in the Type S. It will be unique to this model at launch, however Acura's announcement describes this as the "first" implementation of this engine, implying that it will likely make its way under the hood of other Acura models down the line. Autoblog reached out to inquire as to whether a manual transmission is under consideration for the Type S model; an Acura representative said only that the company is not yet ready to get into specifics on the 2021 TLX's features. Acura will debut the new TLX online at its dedicated microsite on May 28 at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT).Â
