Up for sale is a 2005 Acura Mdx Touring model with the 3.5L Acura V6 engine with 5spd automatic transmission in great condition. The Touring model is the optioned out model and this MDX is LOADED. Acura Navigation, Onstar, Rain sensing wipers, Auto headlights, Power seats w/ memory, Cd player/changer, XM satellite radio, Back up Camera, Rear Climate control, 3rd Row seating, Rear Subwoofer, Power Moonroof, Power Windows, Heated Seats, 4wd and Auto Climate Control.

The Exterior Walkaround:
Overall the exterior is an 8 out of 10 for a vehicle that's nearly 10 yrs old. A few minor dents and dings are present and the vehicle has light surface scratches on several doors. The rear bumper has scuffs and some dents from a light rear bump with a sharp object. From 10 feet away these imperfections are difficult to see. All painted surfaces match, panel gaps are aligned and all doors open and close with ease.

Options/Mechanical info:
Overall a 9.5 out of 10. This MDX has no oil leaks, the transmission shifts great and the fluid is red, not burnt. All of the fluids, Transmission, brake, coolant and the Rear Differential fluid has been serviced in the past 15k miles. The tires are nearly new, as are the brakes. The Timing belt was just changed as well. Mechanically, a used car doesnt get any better that this. A short service history is available on the carfax report to confirm some of these repairs.  The Air Conditioning blows cold and 4wd works as it should as well.

The Test drive:
This vehicle starts quickly, has great power and stops great without any abnormal noises or concerns. There are no dash lights on during driving and the transmission shifts just like it should. The steering wheel is free of any odd vibration and the suspension soaks up bumps as it should. The tires aren't noisy at all and show a nice even wear pattern. There are no interior rattles or interior noises that need addressing. The Audio unit works great and XM is also working as it should. The heater and air conditioning works great as well. Cruise control works perfectly as do all power seats, mirrors and auto features. This vehicle is a turn key used car that needs no major or minor repairs to make it roadworthy or safe.

Known Issues:
There are 2 known issues that are minor. The driver side seat heater is either slow to heat up or doesn't work at all. The passenger side seat heater works great. The bluetooth handsfree link doesn't seem to work all that well. This is a feature that is part of the Navigation system. I haven't use it extensively but believe its malfunctioning so I stopped using it.

The carfax report shows passenger side front damage at some time during this vehicles' life. All the other Acura VIN stickers are present on all other body panels beside the passenger front fender.

Items included:
This vehicle comes with the radio/navigation security PIN card (a must have in case of needed repairs), all factory OEM Acura floor mats and OEM Acura Roof rack and Crossbars.

I purchased this vehicle to replace an older Toyota Sequoia but have decided to sell this Acura instead.

2021 Acura TLX A-Spec vs. Type S, Polestar 2 and Genesis G70 | Autoblog Podcast #700

Fri, Oct 15 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for the 700th installment. It's a premium-focused rundown as the two start off discussing Autoblog's long-term Acura TLX A-Spec and the Type S that is currently standing in for it, followed by some impressions of the Polestar 2 (and how it feels relative to its Volvo cousins) and a look at the 2022 Genesis G70 Launch Edition. Then, in "Spend My Money," they try to address a rather broad request for a pre-owned vehicle with only a handful of requirements.   Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. 2017 Acura NSX | 573 horsepower for lunch

Fri, Aug 18 2017

Our Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is in California for Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, rubbing elbows with beautiful people and their far-more-beautiful cars. Greg took a 2017 Acura NSX down the Monterey Peninsula to grab lunch yesterday and posted live video on Facebook. We thought we'd share it here. We've driven the modern NSX before, of course, and it's terrific. For greater detail, check out our review from 2015. The video is in two parts, as Greg lost service at one point. Ah, technology. We'll be ordering lunch ourselves soon. Wish we could order California sunshine and an NSX to go. Honda Civic Hatchback Luggage Test: How it compares with sedan and Integra

Fri, Jan 13 2023

Well, we have a first here at Autoblog Luggage Test HQ: the first time I've done the next-generation of a make/model that's already been luggage tested. I know, right, very exciting. So, for the first time, I'll be able to report how a vehicle compares with its immediate predecessor. As this is the Honda Civic hatchback, I can also show you how it compares with the Honda Civic sedan and the mechanically related Acura Integra. So. Many. Comparisons! In short, the Civic is a definitive example of why you can't really compare the cargo volume figures of a sedan and a hatchback (or wagon, SUV or other hatchbacked vehicle). The specs say the hatchback has 24.8 cubic-feet of space whereas the Civic sedan has 14.8, yet as I'm about to show you, the sedan actually has more space for holding bags or whatever. This is already a phenomena I covered with the Integra and its 24.3-cubic-foot trunk. Apparently, that half a cube makes a difference as it was indeed easier to load bags into the Civic hatch.  Top Civic hatchback, bottom left Civic sedan, bottom right Integra Some key observations here with this trio. The Civic sedan is 4 inches longer than the Civic hatchback, almost all of which is behind the rear axle. This lends its trunk greater length than the hatchback, which is more useful for stuffing in luggage. The Civic hatchback (and Integra) have more height, which balloons the cubic-foot number, but doesn't really provide much help in this test since I don't pack to the roof for safety, visibility and consistency reasons. If you lower the back seats, it's a whole different ballgame, but I'll get to that later. Now, to the bags. As in every luggage test I do, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D). You can really see the difference in trunk length here. In the sedan (above right), you can fit the small roller bag behind the four biggest bags lined up. Definitely can't do that in the hatchback above left. In short, all the bags fit in all the cars (with some asterisks). It was a much easier fit in the sedan, though, and you can see that there's some extra space on either side of the egg-crusher hinges.
